Yep. Hes nothing 'special'. Kuzma is showing better signs than Ball and is taking over games. Passing the ball early and standing around on the side watching from the best seat n the house is not special. I blame the media and his father for this. If the expectations werent so high, he may play better and could just fly under the radar and take his bumps without so much scrutiny. But when you have people calling you 'transcendent' smh you better show me something son. So far, he aint showing me nothing. The kid Kuzma however is focused and looks like the future

The Lakers are playing great basketball right now all thanks to BALL. I would not be concerned with how Ball runs this offense. The Lakers play as a team and each one of them gets to touch the ball and make plays from opportunities that present themselves. What more could you want from a young team? Experience comes from getting the ball. The Lakers(all of them) get the ball.

Skip and Shannon: UNDISPUTED He’s an Average player, I was at the suns game and he had easy points... The crowd was telling him to shoot.. Trust me! The league is too fast for him right now because everybody’s fast, everybody’s long, everybody’s crafty... He needs training.

Guys, seriously. I love this show. But I have work in the mornings Mon-Fri. I can't watch the full show live so I usually wait to catch the clips you guys upload so I can watch them at lunch. You usually post about 3 a day, the most important topics you guys discuss. So why on God's green Earth is one of those videos not you guys talking about arguably the BIGGEST sports news last night, Deshaun Watson's injury? I mean seriously... Cavs... Lonzo... Elliot/The Cowboys. You guys literally talk about these same three things EVERY DAY. Now I'm sure you guys addressed this in the show, so why not upload it? I just don't get it. We can go without hearing about Lonzo (who I love btw) or the Cavs or the Cowboys for a DAY... I mean seriously, who is in charge of this channel? Show less REPLY

Finally, you guys talk about the real star on the Lakers, Kuzma. There needs to be more said about this kid. The problem is you waste an entire show talking about Lonzo "The Bust" Ball and then you devote the last 2 minutes to Kuzma. It needs to be the other way around. Give Kuzma his shine.

lonzo just needs to find the balance of his game in terms of how he approaches his nba career,he needs to set his play style and then focus on polishing his game,at the moment he seems to be trying different styles and ways of fitting in with the team which has been exposed at times as the others in the team are also trying to find their role and lonzo switching his play like he has makes it hard for the lakers to maintain consitency,no doubt he has the talent to be a top player in the nba but it is still early days and the lakers are in many ways developing during the rebuild just like he is

Believe it or not but a lot of us Laker fans are students of the game & are not a broad generalization opposing fans so oftent times like to rip on. I watched Lonzo in summer league & i saw all the hype surrounding his games & i knew the whole time he was a work in progress. How many players have come in at 18-19 years old and dominated? 2? 3? Yeah, theres a reason Lebron is Lebron. NO, Lonzo will never have the type of impact Lebron had DUH, the dude LITERALLY is a freak of nature. But, anyone who says Lonzo is a bust after only like 8 games LOL you havent been paying attention.

Flesh Eaterz do you worry there's stuff going on behind the scenes?Like the pressure is getting to him. I mean all the lakers can just be free cos they know if they lose, it's all on Lonzo anyways. Kuz is playing with zero expectations. Let me give you an interesting stat, Kuzma was 27% from 3 the first 5 games, and 25% from 3 last game but he is aggressive. Lonzo isn't and that affects his numbers. He literally just needs to drive to the basket, but at UCLA he did stuff like this that's why his PPG was 14, there were 16 games he shot less than 10 times.
@BodyRocker9
@BodyRocker9 7 жыл бұрын
I think with all the hype directed at him yes there is a lot of pressure especially the way his dad is hyping him up. I think he's going to have good nights and bad nights and just needs to get more comfortable with his shot. It's too early to call him a bust he'll get better. Your'e right he does pretty good driving to the basket. I don't know we will see either way he's got a lot to work on. Should be a interesting year at the least and I think we are already better than last year

Is there a difference between 2 points and 0 points? The analyst don't seem to care or even noticed when Fox and Dennis Smith Jr. had 2 points in a game. Oct. 29th Dearon Fox vs Wizards in 1st NBA start: 2 points on 1/8 shooting Oct. 30th Dennis Smith Jr vs Utah: 2 points on 1/7 shooting The thing about Lonzo, yes he should be more aggressive but I think he doesn't like force shots just to say I took shots. Many of the Laker players are playing ISO ball including Brandon Ingram who never seems to pass the ball to Lonzo when coming up the court.

He was a +10 and he did a good job pushing the tempo other guys were scoring so he didn't look for his own shot he will eventually learn the balance between getting his own shot and passing

I have been saying this and I will continue to use to say that Lonzo Goofball will be the biggest NBA Bust in NBA history. Yes he’s a rookie and he will have his ups and downs. What you see now is what you will see in year 3. He will not get any better. In the NBA you have to bring it every night. You can't turn it on one game and off 3 or 4 and come back and have one good game. You have to play hard NBA grown man basketball every night. This player will never make it to the playoffs and people talk about putting better talent around him. Better talent will only expose how bad he really is. Lonzo will be the biggest NBA Bust. The biggest is because of the hype from his dad and the media who fell for the hype. The Lakers should have picked Diaren Fox

Celtics Danny Ainge made smart move to trade down for Jason Tatum and get another top pick in the future. Its a shame that Hayward broke his leg. Celtics are on a 10 game winning streak. Tatum has been huge.

I feel like any kid in highschool could be drafted in nba if they were ask to grab rebound, lead the fastbreak, and shoot 3. Pretty much summarize lonzo ball skill set.

Got to give it to Larva, Ben Simmons is the best young play and they don't talk about him, LBJ drops 44 they talk about Lonzo, have to be impressed that Larva managed to make the media dance to his tune.

If he takes more attempts he is simply taking from his next man's volume. It's more important the most efficient scores continue to take the heavy load of attempts. It's an offensive shift in philosophy that is needed. The offense needs a rhythm that allows for continuity and ball flow beyond Balls first pass or the initial half court pass from anyone. They are looking like the Cavs space the floor Iso scheme and that's not the juice for them albeit they only lost by 3 here and were in position to win.

Also this contention that someone is 'old school' should not be allowed to see the light of day. The expectation has been raised on PGs because the game changed with less contact and it became a little easier for PGs to put points on the boards.

Despite what Lonzo's dad said, give him at least till mid season to pass judgement.... Obviously he can play, I think he has to get comfortable with the system.....

He did seem a little bit scared. He played good defense though. They only lost by one shot which in my opinion was a highly skilled miracle shot. Just be more aggressive and Keep your head up for the next game
