Does MAKE BEAUTY Deserve All the Hype? 🤔

⚠UPDATE⚠ After wearing the products all day, here's what happened: 1. The eyeshadows faded a LOT and I was so disappointed. I should have known because of how blendable they were. I'm hoping that maybe with a good primer and/or setting spray I can get them to last longer. 2. The Diffusion Dew Skin Tint was really pretty...I felt like it had an average wear-time for a skin tint. It wasn't super long-wearing but I was able to have coverage for most of the day. 3. The gel blush also had an average wear-time. It wasn't a staining formula like I thought it might be so I got about 6-8 hours of wear. Again, I might be able to get more with a setting spray or if I set it with powder next time. 4. The lip serum is beautiful! It has a similar wear-time to other lip oils/glosses.

The whole makeup look was very beautiful 😊 the skin tint was pretty on your complexion and the blush was too. I really liked the eye look! Disappointing that it faded. But maybe with a primer or even glitter glue it would have more staying power. I hope you can get them to work for you. I love the lip color as well 😊 thank you for featuring this brand. I'd never heard of the brand; of course, I don't do tiktok. I just love how even though you have your own brush set, you use brushes from other yt creators. You don't see the other creator using other creators brushes/products & supporting other creators. You are awesome!! Thank you for being here with us !

I really like metallic eyeshadows over the glitter eyeshadows. I'm not liking all the glitter in eyeshadow palettes these days. They are not pigmented and it looks messy. I enjoy your channel!

I won't buy shimmer, glitter, or metallic shadows with the exception of a light pink or peach shimmer to use sparingly on the inner corners of my eyes. Even when I was younger and didn't have crepey skin, I didn't like them.

My favorite is the shadows. I have had them for several months after seeing someone demonstrate them. I never had fading on them. It lasts all day on me but I use a primer. I got the quartz and the glaze. I literally love them. The company was good to work with as my first shipment the shadows came shattered and they sent me a replacement. They don’t have the best packing system because I just got shadows and they were thrown in a box without padding but the second shipment came well thank goodness. I haven’t tried the other products but I love that you shared some of the other items.

I swatched my make eye shadows against my flower beauty desert lights and jungle lights palettes and the formula feels the same to me! I don’t have the other 2 flower palettes yet but I bet there are some shade dups too. And cheaper!

I purchased theSkin Tintin N2 and the Bronzer in Aura. I think its a great product for my mature sensitive skin. Not overly dewy but a natural finish which lasts long enough for me! I may have purchased another prroduct.. can't recall! No fragrance-huge plus for me! Ty Jenn for featuring something other than the usual drugstore or other brands which everyone is now reviewing!😅

That skin tint highlights EVERY pore, line, wrinkle and even non existent wrinkle on me 😂. That’s one when you pull down the car mirrror you scream 😱. It has too much mica in it for my taste. Looks nice here though on your face… I’ll be interested to hear updates. I adore those singles and they are a generous size! You’d love their lilac layer liquid lip balm. Def an interesting brand thank you for the thorough review as always Jen ❤

I have the Make Beauty Hibernation Capsule Overnight Recovery Balm and it is AMMMMMAZING on my dry skin! It’s been a savior this winter because as soon as it started to get cold, my face got super dry! The worst it had been before! But I got this out and put it on before going to be and it was so much better in the morning!! Definitely recommend it for dry skin!! I haven’t tried any of their makeup, but now I’ll have to take a look! Thanks for another great video Jen! ❤

Hi Jen! I have never tried Make makeup, but I love their Reverse Emulsion. It's a richer and thicker version of the Rhode Glazing Milk. I actually use both in my routine - I use the Glazing Milk while I'm layering products, then the RE after my moisturizers to seal everything in for the night. :)

Pretty look, but from your pinned comment, it seems like only average performance. Jen, I ordered that MAC "Harmony" blush from your cool-toned bronzers video, and I LOVE it! I’ll be honest I haven’t heard of this brand at all anywhere! But I don’t have TT and I limit my access on other platforms. The shadows look beautiful, super sad they don’t last. For that price they would need to last. Same with the blush. Try the new Physicians Formula Diamond liquid blushes!! They are incredible and a teeny bit goes a long way and they last all day in the Florida humidity!

The look turned out really pretty and soft. I have not used Make but they’ve been around for a long time. Violette fr used a lot of their stuff in her videos back in the day and Anthropologie used to sell it but I don’t know if they still do.

Have the brand just released a new product? I heard of the brand 1 1/2 - 2 years ago. All of the products you tried looked beautiful on you and the wear time was what I would expect, perhaps even better. No eye primer and no setting spray and you almost got a full 8 hours of wear - 👍🏾! I’m really interested in the skin tint and the blush. Thanks for a great video! 💕

I saw them too on social media and I think at least one KZbinr get the shadows in PR. I was very interested in Quartz because they said it was a taupe, but taupes are tricky & if it's reading as gray, then I don't want it. Thanks for checking out this for us.

It's definitely more gray than taupe! I feel like taupe should have some brown in it and this one is gray, almost purple leaning.

Thank you for reviewing these products. I bought 5 of the eyeshadows a couple months ago. I needed something that would be quick and polished. I work in an operating room at an outpatient surgery center, so I have a mask on and sometimes eyewear. These lasted throughout the day for me. I did use an eye primer with a very thin veil of lightweight translucent powder. I also set it with a setting spray. I thought I might try the other 2 products you reviewed but I’m pretty sure they wouldn’t work as well with the gear I have to wear at work. I’d like to see how the eyeshadows work for you with a primer. I do have very dry skin and dry eyelids. Thank you again for the great review!

The skin tint looks nice on you! Unfortunately I had bought their skin tint and concealer and was very disappointed with them. The skin tint I got had glitter particles in it and went on heavy on my face. The concealer had no coverage and creased. I've not had much luck personally with these "TikTok-viral" brands

Also when and if you try a eyeshadow primer which one would you try, I know you really like the Mac paint pot (painterly) but I remembered you like the sigma eye primer. What would you think about using a primer under the skin tint’ do you think it would change the feel of the application you had without it but give you a longer lasting experience, and instead of the face primer I know you mentioned the setting spray, which is your favorite. If and when you try any of these different applications can you please update us on your experience on the wear time and how they actually wear on the skin. Love the look, so simple yet beautiful. I was really intrigued by the shadows and wondered how you thunk they'd do on 60yo crinkly lids. Makeup doesn't have to last all day for me to like it, but settling into wrinkles and accentuating texture is a no go. I got the RMS eyeshadow in a tube and it settles 😢. There really aren't too many like this at the drugstore anymore. Essence used to have some but discontinued them. The only ones I can think of that are like this are the Flower Beauty "Lights" palettes.

We are all entitled to our opinions. I absolutely LOVE makeup!! When I was a teenager, I had acne to worry about and very little money for makeup so I didn’t wear much. I’m turning 64 on the 23rd of March and I’m excited to have a bit of fun so I can look my best and feel good about myself. No more acne and I have the $ now. By the way, I’m pretty sure no one watching any makeup video is sincerely trying to look 18 again. I love the many indie brands as well as Korean brands. My main purchases are skin care. I’m into preserving my skin with smart skin care with good ingredients. Skin care is more important than makeup in my opinion, but I’m loving this makeup! Lol!! 😉👍👍👍

The youtubers I've seen review this brand (Kackie, Hannah Louise Poston, and Laura Mae Beauty) all say in a nutshell that the packaging is beautiful but the products themselves are pretty basic. Kackie and Hannah have raved about their skincare, so maybe it'd be something else to try from Make someday?
