Yeah I agree desktopdoodle, after seeing the beginning of your playlist you are obviously on of those imbeciles that doesn't see or downplays the benefits of cannabis. We did not really discover the endocannabinoid system until 1992. The endocannabinoid system is throughout our bodies with CB1 and CB2 receptors in your organs including the brain and liver. The over 100 phytocannabinoids that the cannabis plant has mirror many of the cannabinoids our body naturally produces. We have not begun to understand the interactions this plant has with our bodies. Bottom line: No one has ever died because of imbibing cannabis.

As much as I love edibles, I don’t use them anymore because of the added oil, and the harm it does to the Endothelium. Although! That’s not so say you can’t do the Whole Food Plant Based version. Decarbing your flower in the oven or even lightly in a vaporizer works, and then adding it to your whole food plant based muffins does the trip, I recommend drinking some oatmilk just to add a tiny bit more fat, but not too much.

I don't understand why I just get anxiety and even paranoia when I try marijuana, why can't I enjoy it like everyone else seems to do. Maybe it's because I have tried edibles most of the time so it's more difficult to dose than if you smoke, so easy to take too much. Anyway I have so far never really enjoyed the experience, I could see too that it could afffect the heart negatively for those people who get anxiety from it.

I had a stroke from consuming too many edibles. I was new to cannabis use and thought edibles would be healthier than smoking. I never felt high (something about being THC naive) but ended up with cyclic vomiting, a horrible unrelenting state of panic, and ultimately RCVS (reversible cerebrovascular spasms)s). Unfortunately, the arteries spasmed so long and so hard that they shut off oxygen to the occipital lobe of my brain, and I had a stroke. I lost a lot of vision and can't drive anymore. I think this is what he's discussing at 0:23 . I do hope people inform themselves of the risk of overdosing on marijuana gummies. It makes sense...you can overdose on ex-lax, antacids, even Flinstone chewables, but for some reason it didn't click with me to be careful.

Man I hope you’re doing okay it’s scary tbh when consuming cannabis I had an experience where I ate a whole 400mg edible pack and I felt so high that it wasn’t fun I felt my heart pounding against my ribs and my head thumbing from my heart beat it was to much for me and just gave me an overwhelming amount of anxiety when I was high and if anyone ever does see this I’d advise you to only eat 1 edibles and wait because higher doses of cannabis can cause opposite effects of what you intended to feel.

Wow, I'm really sorry that happened. Can you describe more about your vision loss? Is it improving? Both sides or just one?
@ChasingMayzie
@ChasingMayzie Жыл бұрын
@@matthewgardner5983 It is called cortical visual impairment. Basically, my eyes can see fine, but my brain cannot read what my eyes see. It manifests itself as blind spots in the centers of both eyes. But "blind spot" does not mean blackness; it just means whatever is there is not seen, and your brain fills in the rest of the picture. Example, when you close your left eye, you don't see blackness on the left side; you just don't see anything. It's the same with blind spots. I will look at a person and not realize I haven't seen their nose area. I once complained to my husband that I was still hungry at a restaurant, and he said, "so eat the food on the left side of your plate"..I just hadn't noticed it (I was really happy to have more sweet and sour pork!). When I first came home from the hospital, I looked at our family portrait of 6, and I could only see 2 people unless I forced myself to look for the others. After that, it dramatically improved over the next 8 months or so. I don't drive because I know I would miss a pedestrian and the lanes are hard to delineate. I can't easily read (magnification really help) which is a bummer because I'm a retired lawyer, and I was always reading about issues or for pleasure. Still, I am very fortunate to have recovered so much. Thank you for asking!

@@iWillWakeYouUp sorry to hear that but it is interesting that this was essentially partly induced because of a sudden excess of THC and going into total panic, which is not uncommon for inexperienced users who are suddenly consuming a very high quality high THC cannabis which they can not handle and end up in the ER having a melt down. @@petecabrina I am a 7 years long user and I also have started having these 140 PR BPM sessions for about an hour. Last one was when I ate a quick edible, a grilled cheese with some decarbed weed. I also felt cold, half my face numb, and cannot move my fingers at all. Even cannot talk right. I thought I was having a stroke. I know it was this pr because I have a pulse reader at home. I'm planning to only smoke a pipe from time to time, but I'm taking a long break for this to hopefully disappear.

@@Dark0ripper I think THC is a stronger psychedelic than people realise, it is can cause quite difficult somatic, psychological and even psychedelic experiences. I like to push the boundaries myself with it, just vaping and it can still cause me quite a bit of trouble, but I use breathing techniques and meditation to adjust myself to any trouble it causes. I could never try a strong edible myself because it would likely cause me issues. I would suggest trying something like the WIm Hof method, the breathing aspect, or a simple breathing techniques like oxygen advantage and with meditation with your usage. There are ways to control your heart rate while under the influence and bring yourself back to a nice calm place. It is worth trying because it might help you really enjoy your cannabis use more too.

When I feel imbalanced/unwell when high it helps to repeat “I just want to live in truth”. It’s hard to focus, but when I repeat that my body and mind come back into focus and my stressed heart and mind calm down. I think it helps because if I’m going to die I just want the truth because that’s the best I can hope for because I’ll be with god. It doesn’t last long so I have to keep repeating it. Not really a fun experience, so it’s best not to smoke so much weed or none at all.

Vaping has more profound mental effects as you burn a lot less cannabinoids and get about 80% THC availability vs sub 20% with bongs. So if you have anxiety from consuming cannabis , properly dosed edibles or Rick Simpson oil will work better. And if you need to quit for a while take some CBD isolate as that helps with the effects of high THC

yes true, but it's not that simple, a bong isn't a biological organ with cilia designed for filtering and cleaning the lung, so the resin and tar don't just stay in your lungs, when I spend a day in London with my mask on, I take it off there's visible dirt on the mask where my mouth and nose were from all the shit that's in the air, your lungs are designed to clean themselves, fortunately otherwise everyone in a city would be dead from the petrol fumes

The probable association with arterial age and chronic cannabis consumption is probably due to all the Cheetos they eat during the munchies. It's also easy to avoid the potential concomitant effects of multiple drug issues; by doing cocaine on alternate days from smoking cannabis. To avoid any confounding factors one should only drink alcohol while driving.

It seem like it got worse when I was sober, but my 1st month of getting sober I was changing my diet and exercising more bc I found out I became a pre diabetic and I understood my diet and all the greasy foods and abusing weed and grabba & barely eating much contributed to that. So the 1st month the pain was unbearable I thought I was really gonna catch a heart attack. The heart papulations was terirble and unbearable I thought being sober was gonna ease it up. It really started to go away 2-3 months being sober bc December I lost 15 lbs bc I got sick nd I got a terrible low blood pressure frm but I regained it by eating 4 times a day I haven’t always consistent but for but I put an effort. I have a very healthy body, I built but not built like that i’m slim 5’10 and I hoop a lot everyday so I aided it from going away. I still cough up to mucus but its not bad how it used to be. Also I had to wear a zio patch for 2 weeks in late march to early april to see whats going w my heart, they came back w the results 2 days ago nd told me theres nun wrong nd I have no complications but I wore the patch when I was already starting to feel better.They told me they only saw a complication and a litte big of arrhythmia for 1 second. Totally agree with your viewpoint, but eating something unhealthy increases your chance of heart disease in the long run, while getting too high can make you have a heart attack then and there. I've had three times now where I thought I was dying from getting too high, the heart palpations were that strong, I was more exhausted then running a marathon and I was just trying to stay conscious lying on the coach. We gotta understand that not everyone reacts the same to weed and some people just straight up have weak hearts and can't handle these experiences and that there is such a thing as TOO MUCH.
@fifteenbyfive
@fifteenbyfive 10 ай бұрын
@@x10018ro No, eating that dinner will kill you in a matter of hours because for hours after you eat it, your blood clumps together. Keep that up for years, and eventually that last meal will do you in. "Feeling like you're going to have a heart attack" is subjective and can mean anything, and in this case, nothing close to what it actually means to feel like having an actual heart attack, and thus has no bearing on the analogy. I've had a few instances like you've described myself and that doesn't verify that I react differently than other people, I can react different than myself, 0.1% of the time. Simultaneously it's like putting all cannabis in a box and treating it all the same too. That's ridiculous. But you're right in the major points including the TOO MUCH part. That's very likely what you're describing. Too much, too fast. The same thing happens to people with alcohol, cigarettes, and coffee.

You didn't highlight it along with the other drug combinations but it's relatively common to smoke a mix of Cannabis and Tobacco at once. This combination is generally thought to make ignition of the cannabis easier although it will also increase addiction potential. Nicotine is a known vasoconstrictor. I also wonder about the difference between CBD and THC here, they often have opposing effects. If you inhale cannabis with a 2:1 ratio does that change things? What about strains that are almost entirely CBD. Sorry if that's in the video I need to leave in a few minutes.

@@christopherstein2024 How are you defining "drug"? Marijuana is typically referred to as a drug. Hemp is not typically referred to as a drug. The main chemicals in Marijuana that attach to receptor sites and produce physiological effects are THC and CBD. Tobacco is not typically referred to as a drug. The main chemical inside tobacco that attaches to receptor sites and produces physiological effects is Nicotine. Nicotine is considered a drug. Coffee is not typically referred to as a drug. The physiologically active chemical, Caffeine is considered a drug. A beer is not a drug, the Alcohol inside it is a drug. If a police officer stops you, he does not care if you had 10 non-alcoholic beers. Magic mushrooms are often referred to as a drug. The Psilocybin is the active ingredient, it is a drug and is the illegal part. For example magic mushroom spores are not considered a drug and are typically not illegal, they can be purchased easily along with growing kits and instructions. Growing magic mushrooms is typically illegal. Growing mushrooms that do not contain Psilocybin is legal. Acetaminophen is not illegal, and is considered a drug. The list goes on but "Magic Mushrooms" and "Marijuana" are not actually drugs. If you remove the THC and CBD from Marijuana such as in hemp, it would not produce an effect and the same is true of magic mushrooms devoid of Psilocybin. If you want a definition: www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/drug "a substance intended for use in the diagnosis, cure, mitigation, treatment, or prevention of disease" Charlotte's web is a high CBD, low THC strain famous for it's therapeutic effects in some cases of epilepsy. We know that the CBD is likely responsible as strains with significant amounts of THC will not produce these effects. We also know that CBD often counteracts various physiological effects of THC. If CBD was inert then how could that be explained?

I can also buy over the counter drugs without a prescription. If I'm ever unsure about a drug I can look through my Mosby's Nursing Drug Reference 31st ed book.

I was smoking one day a gram of hash in the evening and everything was alright. Next day some Nepal hash. Just one small joint. Damn, pain in hart. Palpitations. But I use a lot of rapé on the side. Powder tobacco to put up the nose. So nicotine but no smoking. Hart went up to 120 bpm. According to the hospital no signs of stroke. Nicotine is vascular constricting. A good dose of paranoia, too much working. All set for bad you’d say. I’m sensitive to everything nowadays.

@zilveroog
@zilveroog 2 жыл бұрын
@@TrenchScarz well I say it’s paranoia. The symptoms are paranoia, feel of dying, heart racing, trouble breathing, fear, fear. Something I cannot get out of. My mind is telling me not to do it anymore. I think the smoking part is also letting me know it’s bad for my health but I think it’s more. I cannot let myself go. I gotta keep myself sharp. I haven’t tried eating hash. When I do other psychedelics I’m panicking nowadays. And I’ve done lots. Perhaps too much. I’ll give myself a rest for a while. Smoking I’ll probably never do again because my health doesn’t let me. But psychedelics I will. Not now. I’m too fearful. A little later in life.

@mrlauro9150! The best answer I can give you is that, as Dr. Greger likes to say, "We don't know, until we put it to the test." As far as I know there is not enough evidence to answer that question. However, if you are taking oils and tinctures internally, and not just rubbing them on your skin, I would assume that the THC would have similar effects. You can find everything on our site related to marijuana here: nutritionfacts.org/topics/marijuana/ I hope that helps! -Christine Kestner, MS, CNS, LDN, MPH, NutritionFacts.org Health Support Volunteer

Whatever you decide to introduce into your body should be done with respect for your mental and physical health. Marijuana is a chemical, like all chemicals that can both effect a benefit and also harmful effects and symptoms.

I vaped some herb from when I had covid. It did help breathing, from vasodilation I presume, and when I introduced it I did seem to speed up recovery, perhaps from antiinflammatory CBD content. But the jury is still out on whether cannabis helps or harms in covid-19 situations. Either way, avoid smoking and do your own research. 🎄

I’m pretty sure i had a stroke or heart attack last night from vaping a cart. Terrible situation all alone in my basement. I rode it out and have had palpitations all day today. This is not the first time either. I am completely done with thc in any form because this video is 100 percent true.

I would think it would be best to avoid cannabis leaves from hydroponic grows since they can accumulate certain things like heavy metals, lead, or excess nutrients that aren’t flushed out. But with cannabis grown organically and using ecological and regenerative practices I can’t see any issues with that.

When someone uses “pot” to describe cannabis, they’re typically bias against it. Cannabis is the most medicinal plant we have along with being commercially very important. While I live a WFPB lifestyle and respect Dr. Greger’s nutritional lectures, he is the last person I would listen to regarding cannabis. The MD to listen to is Dr. Bonni Goldstein. She’s treated over 12,000 patients using cannabis. Specifically on respiratory issues, you should research Dr. Donald Tashkin from the UCLA School of Medicine. He has been researching the respiratory response from cannabis for decades.
