Also Medicare requires you to typically try and fail ALL other avenues. I used to do billing for Medicare, it was a constant battle

What if you are homeless and live in a vehicle that can house the scooter?

Thanks. Very informative. Under these guidelines I'm certain I won't qualify ... especially if you need to pass all five. I have a leg prothesis but have mastered that pretty well. It's getting from the house to the car that's the trouble. I have COPD and just breathe for that distance. Thanks again.

Yes have a gait problem and falls alot be a help in the house and out the house and st!nd along time will i still be able to get a scooter

Requirements are a bit demanding...basically you have to be paralyzed from the waist down which is unjustified...each situation is unique..I have severe aches and pains in the bottom of my feet that prevent me from prolonged walk or standing...its severe and I don't qualify...I can't even walk half of block with resting for at least 5 minutes...this rules are senseless.

Medicare will cover an electric wheelchair but not a scooter. Stupid but true.
