When your running back goes 9 yards for 9 carries, if your QB isn't throwing the ball up for grabs, you're going 3 and out on every drive. If MSU had a running game, Chiles wouldn't have to be Mr Everything at age 19.

We haven’t seen a game where we design more runs for Chiles. Eventually we’ll get a game with 80+yards rushing yards and it will completely change our offense.

His arm talent is outrageous. He's going to have to learn schemes and what throws are and are not responsible, but if he puts it together there is not a throw on the field he can't make, there is nothing you have to cut out of your playbook because he can't make such a throw. He can get the ball anywhere on the field with mustard.

Him looking like Vince Young Jr occasionally makes the bad throws and decisions even more annoying. Good news is that teaching someone to throw to wide open receivers is easier than teaching them to effortlessly evade 3 or 4 pass rushers on a single play.

They should have pulled an NFL and had Aidan Chiles sit behind Tommy Schuster for this season. Have him sit behind a veteran QB for a year and learn the game. I don't care if MSU doesn't have a single pass go over 10 yards for the rest of the season. It's clear he's not ready yet, and all having him throw 3 picks a game is going to do is kill his confidence and any hopes of him developing into a competent QB.

Eh, most his problems are fixable. I’d be more alarmed if he just straight up lacked ability. It’s just the casual thing to do to overreact in the moment. I think the more glaring issue will show up the next few weeks, when our offensive line can’t block these stout D-lines we’re going to face.

The thing with MSU is you can see every game they are leaving meat on the bone, and Chiles has an unbelievable arm but it's so unpolished. You can SEE what this could look like, but it's just not there right now.

It was not a live ball. A whistle from a ref stops the play, no mater what. If it’s inadvertent, still a whistle and the play is dead. Was it an incorrect whistle? Absolutely, but the whistle was still sounded. Half the lions team stopped trying because of the whistle. Jared Goff only threw it up because the Cardinals attacking him, unblocked because the O Line heard a whistle, weren’t stopping. If I was a Cardinal fan I would be complaining loudly and I would resign to the indignation that a whistle was incorrectly blown and I have to hate that it happened. However, a whistle ends a play or makes it dead and a whistle was blown.

@@drae408 if you don’t understand depth charts you are being idiotic… ya our good freshman WR marsh was out our other freshman wideouts are low 3 stars that shouldn’t be playing lol… Marsh, Glover, Brown, Gates were all out they are 4/5 wr’s… Marsh and Glover are probably our best WR’s… that definitely affects QB play also not the mention the rain… I’m not trying to make excuses but as football fan you should that would affect a young qb

Im actually getting really frustrated with the fan base right now. Ya he sucks. He is four games in and just turned 19. He has an two offensive lineman out. As well as an Oline that pff grades at 55.1 for pass blocking through 4 games. If the fan base wants to run him out of east Lansing cuz he played terrible on Saturday go for it. Let's just bring katin back or rocky Lombardi and bend over for the next 3-4 years
