I just can't understand why anyone feels the need to criticize your handling all of these horses. I don't think our horse saw a vet even once in her life. Now saying that, my Dad watched her health closely. He took care of her hooves, teeth, feed, training, just everything. Now Dad was 15 years old when he got her around 1942. She was 2 years old and lived to 32 years. I marvel at how closely you monitor your animals. They receive the best of care.

Our daughter’s first horse, 6 yr old “Freedom” (she looks just like ziggy) was called a quarter horse in the ad and when we got her I was wondering if she had Arabian in her… and that is a big yes! I don’t know if I would’ve ever bought her because I thought Arabians are too flighty and spooky. To our delight she has been wonderful! She tries very hard to do the right thing, not a dull inch on her! She is sensitive and pays attention, learning super fast. I am so grateful someone else didn’t snatch her up. Her picture online looked like she was old… and then we saw her and realized it was a bad angle and bad picture. She has been nothing but a blessing. And a great friend to our 2nd purchased horse for me… our draft horse! They love each other and it has been a fun adventure to do groundwork and we finally went on our first trail ride… but my daughter has gotten busy with her new adult life, so my husband rode Freedom and she was super good for him! He has never ridden a horse “for free” before, and they did great together! I am blessed to have so much help from online coaching from horsemen/horsewomen. It has made it so much better during training! Excited for some cooler days so we can go on another trail ride.

The original Arab horse was revered by their owners, the Bedu. Mare and foal would be housed in the great tent with the family and would be fed and watered before even the children. Thus a foal would grow up within the family and very deep bonds were formed with their humans. Arab horses even today still carry that race memory and thrive on a one to one relationship. Many Arabs are thought difficult or even morose when what is really the problem is the horse has been sold on. Ziggy is already showing appreciation and attachment as he 'adopts' his latest owner and it is easy to see the difference in him. He is not old for an Arabian but his spirit has been eaten away by how many previous owners and, while this can be restored, I wonder how moving on yet again will affect him. I truly appreciate the work you put into looking after your horses CC, there are few who do it so well, I just hope that if you must let Ziggy go you can find a person who really understands this breed. Sorry you've had such a heavy week, hope things go better for you now. Wishing you an easy winter, ❤ from Scotland 🏴

I hope you feel all better soon. Glad Whiplash is feeling better. Ziggy is such a good horse; if/when he becomes able to be rehomed, I'm sure you will find him the perfect human who will love him forever. I guess you could keep every horse forever, but, that would mean all those other horses at auction, who need help, wouldn't get the opportunity to come live with you. Rehabilitating an animal is a selfless act, it's about getting that animal healthy, physically and emotionally, then letting them go. You have horses that you feel you can't rehome (Nigel the tiny terror comes to mind, lol), but you can't keep all of them; there's only one you. You're amazing, and I have full confidence that you will always do what is best for each of the horses; even when it breaks your heart.

That Prim - so fickle!😆😍 I hate when Ziggy gets bitten and picked on. He just wants a quiet, non-confrontational life. He's looking and feeling amazing, thanks to you. The frisky jumping and bucking! Look how he follows you.❤ I don't know enough to comment on your plans for the other horses, but I SO wish you could keep Ziggy! I would hate to think of him being passed around as he gets older and maybe has physical problems and ending up dumped back at a kill pen at 25. Your care of your horses is caring, kind, incredibly knowledgeable, and meticulous. Ignore negativity. Some people get pleasure from dumping on others.

You are a wonderful horse trainer/ caretaker and an inspiration. I wish people wouldn’t be so judgmental.

I hope you can take Ziggy out for a ride in the hills again before winter, even if only for an hour.

Hi angelxx please DO NOT LET PEOPLE try and tell you about Ziggys weight. Ive had 2 arabians, they look nothing like a typical quarter horse, OR EVEN LIKE A BASIC HORSE. HIS BODY shape is great, YES HE does not bend that good. I would not bend that good either after going mostly on trails for 15 odd years. Ignore the silliness, all he needs is you love and MAYBE a rug soon.xx YOU have moved heaven and earth for your horses,,,, FOR WHAT? FOR LOVE BEYOND ALL HORSES LOST. YOU HAVE DONE SO MUCH GOOD. Idont know anyone who cares so much here, or anywhere. Im here angel to help always xx kisses to my TINY

The horses show of happiness when they see you, is all the validation you need to know they love you! There always going to be grippers and nay sayers because of jealousy! Yay for Super CC !!❤🎉😊

I love that Ziggy. So smart! I like how he's a little bit sneaky and tries to change directions.

Ziggy is the proverbial Arabian horse! These horse were originally bred by nomadic desert tribes to not only carry their owners in battle, but to provide milk for drinking. They lived in their owners tents with the family and were treated as such. This explains the love for humans most Arabian horses have.

Arabian horses do have a shorter back than most others because they have one less vertebrae than other breeds do.

He looks great, and the way he was running around in a previous video, shows he's feeling better.

I had Arabians for decades. Unless you own and/or adore that breed, it's easy to misinterpret the horse's progress. Muscle replaces most flaws and that includes leanness so it may look like there is no weight gain. You're doing a fabulous job with Ziggy.
