My hair was auburn as a child, and is still red underneath. I cover it with ash. Wondering whether I should try red. Today I wore rust color and WOW it's a fantastic color on me. So is tomato red. Definitely warm.

Hey, I'm naturally a summer gal - cool undertone skin, green eyes, ash-brown hair. I recently went with a light auburn and it looks fantastic on me, even better than my natural color (which was, admittedly, going to gray). Maybe some summer girls can do red?
@carolbrailey6 жыл бұрын
Hard to say -- if you are sure you are a True Summer (which is fully cool undertone) you would see similar responses on your colouring, eyes, jawline and face with warm auburn hair as demonstrated in this video where I show me with a golden blonde hair swatch kzbin.info/www/bejne/j6GXe3qHarF_lZY. Warm red or auburn would be a True Summer's worst hair colour to go to. True Summer = cool undertone, medium to light value, low intensity (i.e. toned or soft or muted) and red hair colours are usually high intensity (i.e. bright) and go warm when they fade... Red hair colours tend to fade fast as well. I will also add one's natural hair colour (when pigmented) is always their most optimal hair colour -- it is made up of 7 different colours that the universe has chosen that naturally makes you sparkle.... And I'm a licensed hair stylist as well saying this lol!

I have redheaded cousins on my dad's side of the family, but no one in my immediate family ever had red hair except my younger sister when she was born, but her hair turned light blonde before she turned one year old, and that was the end of redheads in my immediate family. Light blonde highlights have worked well for me, but I wouldn't try red!

Hm I saw another video saying the exact opposite that red hair doesn’t mean warm skin just because we associate warm with red. Even the opposite that many redheads have very cool skin tones which then would also fit people with light cool blonde. I believe it is the kind of ginger you choose but there are many redheads with cool undertones looking stunning..

Check the training and experience of that person on colour analysis (accredited colour analysis training and in person colour analysis training and experience)…. As per my accredited colour analysis training background and vast experience someone with natural red hair cannot be fully cool … 💕🎨⭐️… they can be neutral-cool (slightly possible), but not fully cool… a fully cool undertone means true winter, true summer, cool winter or cool summer and I’ve never seen someone with natural red hair in these palettes and I’ve analyzed a tonne 💕 (pale skin does not equal cool skin)
@tabeabussmann3 жыл бұрын
@@carolbrailey for example christina hendricks who is blonde and cleary cool skin toned rocks red warm hair! The other video made sense to me maybe she meant not fully cool but she explained it like this. I think cool skin tone can look great with warm hair if done correctly, very interesting!

So what that person is saying is that wearing colours not in harmony with your undertone adds to your sparkle … that is in conflict with even philosophies outside of colour analysis…. what that will do in my experience is dull and wash out ur face, take sparkle away from ur eyes, disconnect your hair visually from u (people will focus on ur hair and not ur face) and unrefine your cheek and jawline)….re celebrities: how does one know their undertone without actually doing a colour analysis on them? (They need to have no makeup, coloured hair covered, in natural daylighting, fabrics held up to them or coloured strips online around them to determine)… I’m cool if we disagree 💕🎨⭐️ ps - are u also sure this other person was judging their subjects accurately for cool? Has this person actually done a colour analysis on them? Again I’m cool if we disagree 💕 have a lovely day!

I believe it's always best to know your seasonal color analysis results before making any color decision for your hair, makeup, clothing or accessories -- sorry you had to learn this the hard way :-((... blue-black is aligned to the cool winter palette - if you think you are a cool winter - it may be okay! So, nature obviously isn't perfect... I have naturally reddish-blonde hair (now with a little grey), but my skin undertones are clearly cool. In almost any colour type test I will end up being a spring, but I have finally decided to wear summer colours, mostly the lighter ones, which are in harmony with my skin tone and I like it. That said, I actually can wear some spring colours like coral and a warmer blue, but if I wore camel, you would instantly send me to a doctor as it makes me look incredibly ill 😊.

Thanks for watching! The situation you describe is not possible in colour analysis. Example If undertone is cool, the spring colours would not look good on you (these are warm undertone colours). This is what I do for a living... I've analyzed hundreds and hundreds of people from around the world and also teach this so I have a very very high degree of confidence when saying that your situation is not possible. I highly recommend going for a colour analysis or if you would like me to take a peak, please visit virtualcoloranalysis.com or if you are wanting to self analyze, my diy colour analysis page may be a good fit for you - www.patreon.com/carolbrailey 💖🌟🙏 thanks again for watching... Hi Carol! Question, most red heads have more of a 'cool undertone' to their skin, how is it that they can naturally rock the warm copper reds? Thanks!
@carolbrailey4 жыл бұрын
Pale skin does not equal cool undertone. If there is red in your hair naturally, it is not possible for you to be fully cool. See this video - kzbin.info/www/bejne/gaW1Y4aJqN6frtE 🎨🌟♥️

@@carolbrailey Thanks for your response Carol! Just seen the reply above from @moodyblues , I've been looking into this on several channels and platforms and the conclusion I seem to have gathered so far, is that it's about which tone is dominant overall. Most people have a mix of both cool and warm but one is dominant, probably the same for readheads? Also, often redheads having freckles can potentially add warmth to the overall look, and will therefore become predominantly 'warm'? Would you agree with this Carol? (P.S I'm a hairstylist, so some background in colour analysis but not to the extent of yours I'm sure!) :)
