Almost 10 years ago when I started mountain trail running, I overdid it and wrecked my Achilles tendons. They wouldn’t heal with weeks of rest and I had to stop running. I fixed it with a red TenDlite LED. I healed pretty quickly with multiple daily doses and went on to complete 50 mile ultramarathons in my 40s. I also used lasers on my scalp and teeth to good effect. To the skeptics: light therapy is amazing

near-infrared light to release nitric oxide will dilate blood vessels giving improved circulation for hair growth skin healing assistance improve diabetic circulation but I wouldn't expect it to penetrate the cranium. I think research into seasonal affective disorder demonstrates the pineal gland to responds to light sources not sure about what wavelength penetrates best or stimulates. I think light stimulation through the skull is way off the mark. Now magnetic induction, direct transcranial stimulation is another matter, at least for the gyri near the surface of the cortex.
