Idea; what if smosh had a “resurrection” or “revival” where they come back and have to do a round 2 where they “come” back from their funeral roasts. It’d make sense since Anthony comes back from the dead in most food battles too! Anytime someone who’s roasted guesses a roast (3 guesses) they get to punish the resurrected with a random dare. If the roasted guesses all 3 right they get to do a max dare (which is more intense then a regular dare) Normal dare: squirt water gun on resurrected, RD drinks hot sauce, RD breathes in smelling salt Max dare; hottest pepper, period cramp machine, drink mixed fast food etc
@Masquerade087 ай бұрын
17:18 Its the hypothesis of the monkey sphere... that we used to live in small bands where youd see your family and members of the community but not many others. So these faces that you see frequently get metaphorically cataloged as family, friends, and tribesmen. So, I honestly expect at this point its how I'd react meeting someone from Smosh, like I'm greeting a friend. Such a weird disconnect given we're actually strangers. And it makes me wonder if TV is having a greater anthropological affect than we realize. Getting philosophical here... maybe the breakdown in the sense of community that a lot of people have been feeling are the results of too much television consumption so that our brains dont recognize our neighbors as our community. Just a wild hypothesis.
@thomac7 ай бұрын
Yes and no. The breakdown has been going on for longer than the tv existed. People were talking about individuals feeling alienated in the 1800s, mostly blaming industrialisation and/or capitalism (also part of why nationalism and fascism had appeal, it created structure and a sense of belonging). It is not a coincidence that the cult of celebrities grew in the US first and was the strongest in the US. The internet and other modern innovations are a further step, where there are almost no more big celebrities but lots of smaller fanbases, removing broadly shared experiences that you might have had by watching the same stuff on tv and radio. But this wouldn't work the same if community wasn't already broken. But yes, TV had a greater impact than we realise, negative and positive, and the internet is having a massive impact too whose ramifications we still do not understand... and it's still changing.

I REALLY MISS seeing Sarah on the channel. I still love her energy whenever I see her pop up now, or when I watch older videos. She is part of "the old guard" (so to speak) of Smosh (Matt, Joe, Sarah, and Sonny). I started watching in 2011, but 2015 is when the channel became one of my favorites to watch.

I’ve said this many times but that era is Smosh is something else. I feel guilty AF for liking it cuz I know DEFY treated them like garbage but they made some of the best content. No matter, been a long time of Smosh (since 2007) and will follow Smosh forever

I love that Sarah still loves Smosh so much, and she’s like a fan as much as a friend so sweet🥹

The Valleyfolk episode of Spelling Bikini Wax is honestly one of the funniest videos in KZbin.

I loved this episode so much. The comfort that sarah brings to the cast is still very apparent in real time. I wish she could come back ❤
