@Andrei rRRr - I thank you for the opportunity to reply to your question. Brainwashed is a term that completely and accurately describes creationists. You can see it in the Sunday-school lectures given by "Dr." James Tour, Stephen Meyer, Kent Hovind etc. It must be terrifying for them to see their income sources being shredded daily by the likes of me. Typically my comments are erased as soon as they appear. If you can describe a more believable theory than Darwinism (evolution) let's hear it. "God did it!" is not a theory. I realize that the big bang theory is difficult to conceptualize but it, too is a theory, a fairly well understood theory and one with a lot of sound arguments to support it. The "God-did-it" conjecture" is easy to conceptualize but impossible to understand in any detail - at least for critical thinkers. Then again, maybe the devil is in the details, as they say.

Thomas Nagel is a philosopher not a scientist. Mr. Nagel argues that instead of random evolution “cosmic predisposition" is what caused speciation. This was argued by Plato and Aristotle thousands of years ago. Darwin pretty much put that to rest. Metaphysical arguments typically rely on the occult, spirits, demons etc. Rather than relying on rational arguments, metaphysical arguments create a relatively unassailable position by introducing “evidence” that can't be disproved scientifically. Thomas Nagel, James Tour, Stephen Meyer use this form of argument constantly.

Someone please explain how the first cell formed, developed working systems and then divided everything plus the DNA equally and perfectly without compromising the cell wall, and then developed cell specialization. The pre-cells consisted of what? Then it died (new concept here)*. What drove this life process from lifeless minerals, water, and chemicals? DNA has codes from the parent cells, so where did the first codes come from? The more they try to replicate a cell, the more complex they find it, and the farther away they get from their goal. And that's in controlled labs with goals in mind. Lifeless nature has no goals, methods, repeatability, patterns, NOTHING that life requires to BE, much less self-start. *At this point, evolution would have favored cells that never died at all. Having to start over from scratch every time to find the previous cell path by another identical accident- impossible.

Just like I’ve changed my mind about the infallibility of science. I used to think there was no exclusivity of any ideas where science was concerned. But with this evolution issue, the idea of a Creator is excluded as its primary premise. Therefore, any theories developed cannot include God, and anyone who believes otherwise is stupid for believing in fairy tales. And our children are becoming indoctrinated into atheism under the guise of “science”. Who thought that would ever happen?

Thanks kkdoc. Actually, while I was in practice I did encounter docs who were believers. I was an "angry atheist" due to the Holocaust. When in biochemistry I had to memorize parts of the Kreb's cycle. I hated doing it, but even then I marveled at the number of enzymes necessary to complete the cycle, and also the genius of the person who discovered it. It raised some interesting questions: Who could design or how could any non-directed evolutionary process develop the enzymes? How was it possible for Dr. Krebs to actually elucidate this process? How could J.S. Bach produce his MUSIC just from his brain? How do you explain genius? As a child I had an NDE during an ether-induced tonsillectomy. I didn't meet "anyone" but I saw the most magnificent curtains of colors while "hovering" over the table and the tonsil snares in my throat. I was just 6 years old. I tried to "relive" the colors, but obviously could not. Years later, I was lost at sea during a scuba diving incident, for about 3 hours. Completely alone. Or I thought I was. I "heard" a voice telling me to get my scuba mask wet, hold it over my head and use it as a mirror to help identify myself. It was my first dive. I didn't know that scuba masks could be used as a mirror. Something or someone told me. I was discovered and saved. I was NEVER terrified or frightened. People told me I should sue the kids who owned the scuba company for at least a million. But I was neither terrified nor "alone." It took me years to understand why: I had already experienced death. I am still not afraid of it. I never sued them. They probably prayed I would not. I couldn't do it because I would have to lie if I said I was scared or terrified. I never was. If you are lost and alone at sea and not terrified, you had a REAL NDE. I am a Deist. Atheism, even though I thought I was one...is untenable on a strictly statistical analysis. I know I will "return" to the colors. That's fine with me. Thanks for writing doctor. Sanjosemike (no longer in CA)

THANK YOU, All, for your devotion to the pursuit of knowledge and the sharing of your pursuits. A note on the term "evolution" being applied to antibiotic resistance in bacteria: As far as my limited knowledge can tell, the resistance is due to the LOSS of a genetic trait. A notable example is in the case of a mutation wherein the bacterial cell wall coating is lost. Without the particular coating, the antibiotic cannot adhere to and penetrate or disable the bacterium. So, by way of a genetic loss, the bacteria become impervious to the drug, and, therefore, "resistant." An illustration would be like: If a tornado blew away your chimney, your house would be resistant to Santa Claus! The house did not evolve, it devolved and kept Santa out! Rather than gaining new genetic information, or "evolving", we observe the loss of genetic information in bacterial antibiotic resistance. We believe the term "devolution" more accurately describes this particular process of change. Certain antibiotics that we take will wipe out our beneficial intestinal flora, leaving only the ~5% normally degraded mutants to remain, multiply, and produce debilitating toxins. Hence we urge the adoption of "DEVOLUTION" to indicate such an observable mechanism of change. We observe genetic entropy universally in all mankind. It is the underlying cause for the genetic defects manifested in children of closely related adults, especially siblings. Again, what we are observing is devolution -- the opposite of evolution. GOD BLESS YOU ALL GREATLY!

The resistance to antibiotics, whether it be a loss of a trait or a gain of a trait is still 'evolution'. At some point in human evolution we lost our hairy coats, like the chimpanzees still have. I was in Hospital from February 2nd to March 15th 2018. Under the care of Dr Christopher Linton at Hurstwood Ward, Blackburn Royal Hospital. I had been asked by a Mental Health Community Worker, Mark Hammond, if I was willing to undergo psychiatric evaluation in Hospital. I said that I was perfectly happy to do that, but requested a short time to get my clothing, etc. ready. I was allowed to do that. I was a quick as I could be, and was driven by Ambulance to the Hospital. The Doctors and Mark Hammond could NOT believe that I served as Private Chaplain to Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II's Personal Representative in our UK Parliament, also The Lord High Constable of Scotland, Knight Marshal of Scotland, Butler of Scotland, and Head of H.M.'s Royal Household Scotland. They could not believe that I was a professional Artist, that I had in 1992 Represented Great Britain at the Invitation of His Excellency Baron Von Richthofen The German Ambassador to The Court of St James's London. ... They could NOT believe that I actually used all the Scientific Equipment in my Home, like powerful microscopes and accurate digital Laboratory Scales (Calibrated) ... I was suffering from 'Delusions of Grandeur', and according to Mark Hammond, was the worst case of hoarding expensive things I had no use for, that he had ever encountered! ... Confirmation of my delusions, was my apparently ridiculous claim, that at the Invitation of two Journalists, Susanna Royle (Now a Fine Artist) and Virginia Kennedy (A Cousin or Niece? of my old Mathematics Tutor, at Wellington College, Mr. Waghorne, who in 1968 told me to get on with my Physics Projects, instead of Mathematics, because I had taught him more mathematics than he ever learnt at university, and had never while at college made a single mathematical error in any test or exam. Finishing exams usually in less than half the allotted time. From Wellington College, I went up to London University on a Rolls Royce Bursary. At my University Interview, three Lecturers were present, one of them said "What is the point of this silly interview? we all know we have to accept Alastair, So let's just enjoy a coffee at the canteen! Susanna Royle and Virginia Kennedy wanted me on the morning of July 15th 1990, to receive the First Official World Wide Web Transmission from CERN Geneva, and a musical greeting from Les Horrible Cernettes. (who incidentally formed July 15th 1990.) ... The issue was very clear, I could be a crazy Artist, and claim anything I liked, I could claim to be an Arch Bishop if I liked. (Incidentally Archbishop Fisher Lectured me in Divinity at Wellington College) ...BUT TO CLAIM TO BE A "SCIENTIST" AND BELIEVE IN JESUS CHRIST...... THAT WAS A STEP TOO FAR!... ... it took six weeks in Hurstwood Ward to prove every single one of my ultra-grandiose claims!... The final one was Dr Christopher Linton telling me he would be happy to discharge me, as soon as I admitted that I did NOT receive the "First Official World Wide Web Transmission". My answer was "So you want me to tell a lie? Dr Christopher". I told him to contact Susanna Royle, her Father was formerly Member of Parliament for Richmond of Thames, His Family Company was "Wilkinson Sword", and Susanna Royle has a Website, Telephone Number and Display of her magnificent Works of Fine Art. "Why not do the sensible thing, drop your Normalcy Bias, and check out my claim personally? ".... When I left Hurstwood Ward, nearly all the Patients and even Nurses wanted to hug me. some were in tears at my departure! ... It is a Christian Thing. ... We do not make a big fuss. Wherever we are, that is the Will of God. and we are perfectly safe in His Hands! Our current field of research is "Practical Anti-Gravity". The same subject that fascinated me at Wellington College. ... In India Jesus Christ is worshipped at an Avatar of Lord Shiva, simply because Jesus Christ prophesies that this Planet Earth will be destroyed. Only the most compassionate of the Avatars of the Supreme Personality of Godhead, Lord Shiva, is empowered to destroy planets! ... My Christian Joke to Atheist Scientists is double edged. because they laugh! "Jesus Loves You So Much He Is Going To Obliterate Your Planet!" (And steal your Oceans as well, Revelations Ch. 21.)

"...they are terrified of debating him" Nick Matzke, who is is currently a doctoral student in evolutionary biology at the University of California, Berkeley, and who is also the former Public Information Project Director at the National Center for Science Education, took up Dr Tours offer, to sit down and explain Evolution to him. In the end, guess Who chickened out of this? Tour did. So, what’s your point again?
@derhafi4 жыл бұрын
Then please show me one publication in a science magazine on the subject of evolution that Tour ever published. Tour never did, how could he, he is doing no research on the matter at all and openly admits, in his own homepage, that he is no expert in that field. He says that he does not believe in Intelligent Design. But then goes on saying: “Based upon my faith in the biblical text, I do believe (yes, faith and belief go beyond scientific evidence for this scientist) that God created the heavens and the earth and all that dwell therein, including a man named Adam and a woman named Eve.” That is an exact description of “Intelligent Design”. I never came across a supporter of ID who knew or cared about the difference between pseudoscience and actual scientific inquiry. They all fail to realize that the moment they evoke a supernatural entity without haven anything to show for, empirical evidence or a falsifiable way to demonstrate the factual nature of their claim; that this is the moment, in which they take themselves out of the debate. Tour, brilliant as a chemist as he may be, when it comes to his faith, he is no different, he just does not care. Further, in the October issue 2019 of “Science” an peer reviewed article about „Unified prebiotically plausible synthesis of pyrimidine and purine RNA ribonucleotides” was published, showing one way self-replicating molecules can come into existence just by the laws of nature. Reproducible for anyone with a bit of knowledge on chemistry. Tour should be able to handle this. Solid prove that no magical force by any form of God, for whom there is no good evidence by the way, is needed for life to emerge. The article is not suggesting that’s exactly how it went down, it presents one possible, reproducible way how this could have happened. Disproving his suggestions and rendering Tours mental excursions for what they are, pure fundamental Christian nonsense. Have you ever wondered why none of those so-called “scientists” working for Christian pressure groups like the DI, are publishing their “discoveries” in an actual science magazine or never presented their "work" at a scientific conference? After all, they think they’ve got the goods on a 160 year body of scientific work. What are they doing instead, they do the rounds of fundamentalist church groups, right wing talk radio, publish in church magazines and show up on and jesus-tv shows. Convincing the gullible, that there is magic in the form of a God. Take it from one of your own: Dr. Francis Collins, the head of the Human Genome Project, is also a devout evangelical Christian. Perhaps the only intelligent one in the entire world. Here's what he says. 'Yes, evolution by descent from a common ancestor is clearly true. If there was any lingering doubt about the evidence from the fossil record, the study of DNA provides the strongest possible proof of our relatedness to all other living things. It's also now been possible to compare our DNA with that of many other species. The evidence supporting the idea that all living things are descended from a common ancestor is truly overwhelming. I would not necessarily wish that to be so, as a Bible-believing Christian but it is so. It does not serve faith well to try to deny that.' Creationists keep up the illusion that there is an actual ongoing debate of the factual nature of the Theory of Evolution. There is not. Furthermore they are selling the idea that proving evolution wrong would add any credibility to their idea of a God. That is flawed thinking, they still need to demonstrate that the supernatural is actually real and interacting with us (which it is not) and then additionally they’d need to tight it to their particular God as well. Obsticals they know they can not overcome. This is why they sell this strawman nonsense…and hey, why not? Obviously they is no shortage in gullible people who are willing to fall for this. Gullible people like you Greg. Proud of yourself yet?

The 'faith' you are suggesting is in myths, magic, miracles, prayer, angels, demons, Noahs ark, astrology, homeopathy, the Bible, tarot cards, esp, the eventual second coming of Yeshua ben Yosef, the after-life (death), fairies, leprechauns, heaven (outer-space), supernatural beings, Santa Claus, and the Easter Bunny. The two bring up a VERY interesting and, I'd say, VERY important discussion now wrt YEC. Just a couple of observations. First, Nick hits on an essential point. Namely Hermeneutics. He's just WAY off based on what he said about "Day" (Yom in the Hebrew). Secondly, EVERYBODY has a starting point. And where I have seen several Christian Scientists and one particular world-renowned philosopher make a colossal, GINORMOUS mistake is to make Science their starting point and then interpret Scripture thru the Science. That's backwards. When one rightly divides the Word of God they begin to ask questions that lead to an answer that is both Biblical and Scientific. For instance, One might say "the Bible says everything was created in 6 literal days. How can that possibly be the case? Then thing begin to appear that did not before and one can see things like a canyon being formed in a matter of hours that other scientists say would take millions of years. Earlier James talked about the stuff being put into high school textbooks that is just utter nonsense. That's because of EXACTLY what I just said. Where is their starting point? Such as such must be true so we have to find a way to explain it. At the beginning James also talked about the necessity of going to the right source experts. I fairly certain that James and Nick have heard of AiG, CRI, and others like it. There are folks like Larry Vardiman who spent $2M on his RATE Study and put everything, including his faith, on the line. He was literally willing to say the Bible is not the Word of God and is not inerrant and infallible if the evidence led to that. His testimony on that is a blessing. Just as James and Nick have an expertise in Chemistry that is beyond anything I've ever seen and it's being used to God's glory, so to are there many in other areas like Geography and whatever it is that Jonathan Sarfati does. (Can't remember but I think it had something to do with Chemistry and genetics. His banana, chimpanzee, human video is a hoot!) Just as I would point others to James & Nick when their area of expertise is needed so too would I encourage and exhort James and Nick to spend some time looking at what those YEC scientists are saying. Personally, I follow the let Scripture interpret Scripture while using a proper hermeneutic and sound exegesis. And I believe when one does that there can be no other option but to believe in a literal 6-day creation.

I'm paused at the 30min to share it before I forget because, if one doesn't watch the whole thing, at least watch the part at the 30min mark. If that don't tell ya that there is something sinister going on in the Science Community today then I don't know what would. Consider what he signed his name to! What is wrong with that? And yet for just agreeing with that he became a pariah. That said, it MUST be NOTED that the same EXACT thing happens in with self-professing Christian all the time on a regular consistent basis. In just the past couple of days I have seen a dozen or more people respond to a post on a "Christian Page" asking how old Jesus was when He was killed by saying that He was 33. Ask them to provide ANY EVIDENCE for that and you get "read your Bible". The Bible does NOT say! (Imagine the response if I asked them how they know the Bible is true! LOL) Biblical & Historical scholars give room for about a 4yr window. The FACT is they do NOT know. Nobody does. And yet when asked to back up their claim that is what you get. Or something like "Well, if you don't know then I can't help you." We can do better. We MUST do better!!

If you do not understand it, and can not explain it, then you should not take tax money to teach it. Evolution is clearly a religion. We see small variations and that is all. We never see, or have we ever seen, anything else. 2 + 2 = 4, search for a different answer all you like to try to satisfy yourself, but you will not find it and the answer is still 4. Darwin lived in a time when it was understood by science that the universe was eternal. So his theory was that given an eternal amount of time, you would see the evolution of life from nothing. Now science teaches that the universe had a beginning about a dozen billion years ago. We must now assume that that is sufficient time for life to both form, evolve and bring about the millions and millions of different species, including the modern evolved human being. The argument hinging on "given enough time..." yet no one can tell how much time is enough.

Modern Quantum Physics has shown that reality is based on probability: A statistical impossibility is defined as “a probability that is so low as to not be worthy of mentioning. Sometimes it is quoted as 1/10^50 although the cutoff is inherently arbitrary. Although not truly impossible the probability is low enough so as to not bear mention in a Rational, Reasonable argument." The probability of finding one particular atom out of all of the atoms in the universe has been estimated to be 1/10^80. The probability of just one (1) functional 150 amino acid protein chain forming by chance is 1/10^164. It has been calculated that the probability of DNA forming by chance is 1/10^119,000. The probability of random chance protein-protein linkages in a cell is 1/10^79,000,000,000. Based on just these three cellular components, it would be far more Rational and Reasonable to conclude that the cell was not formed by un-directed random natural processes. Note: Abiogenesis Hypothesis posits that un-directed random natural processes, i.e. random chance formation, of molecules led to living organisms. Natural selection has no effect on individual atoms and molecules on the micro scale in a prebiotic environment. (*For reference, peptides/proteins can vary in size from 3 amino acid chains to 34,000 amino acid chains. Some scientists consider 300-400 amino acid protein chains to be the average size. There are 42,000,000 protein molecules in just one (1) simple cell, each protein requiring precise assembly. There are approx. 30,000,000,000,000 cells in the human body.) Of all the physical laws and constants, just the Cosmological Constant alone is tuned to a level of 1/10^120; not to mention the fine-tuning of the Mass-Energy distribution of early universe which is 1/10^10^123. Therefore, in the fine-tuning argument, it would be more Rational and Reasonable to conclude that the multi-verse is not the correct answer. On the other hand, it has been scientifically proven numerous times that Consciousness does indeed collapse the wave function to cause information waves of probability/potentiality to become particle/matter with 1/1 probability. A rational and reasonable person could therefore conclude that the answer is consciousness. A "Miracle" is considered to be an event with a probability of occurrence of 1/10^6. Abiogenesis, RNA World Hypothesis, and Multiverse would all far, far, far exceed any "Miracle". Yet, these extremely irrational and unreasonable hypotheses are what some of the world’s top scientists ‘must’ believe in because of a prior commitment to a strictly arbitrary, subjective, biased, narrow, limiting, materialistic ideology / worldview. Every idea, number, concept, thought, theory, mathematical equation, abstraction, qualia, etc. existing within and expressed by anyone is "Immaterial" or "Non-material". The very idea or concept of "Materialism" is an immaterial entity and by it's own definition does not exist. Modern science seems to be stuck in archaic, subjective, biased, incomplete ideologies that have inadequately attempted to define the "nature of reality" or the "reality of nature" for millennia. A Paradigm Shift in ‘Science’ is needed for humanity to advance. A major part of this Science Paradigm Shift would be the formal acknowledgment by the scientific community of the existence of "Immaterial" or "Non-material" entities as verified and confirmed by observation of the universe and discoveries in Quantum Physics.)

Except that we've shown how RNA can and has formed entirely on its own from plausible substrates that would be present in a prebiotic world, along with water and a source of UV light. Once formed, RNA can also polymerize on its own on surfaces such as clay. So whoever said DNA and RNA cannot statistically form on their own was lying. All those other numbers are meaningless too, and almost certainly quote-mined or entirely made up. It's like looking at all the events that lead up to how we got to where we are in our lives and concluding that it's impossible for anyone to have a discussion in KZbin comments. You can make anything that's already happened seem statistically impossible, despite the fact that they've already happened. However, we must keep in mind that the actual scientific probability that everything was conjured out of nothing by the equivalent of an omnipotent genie is precisely *zero.*

Prof. Fitzkee, please don’t misquote Scripture. You quoted Psalm 19:1 as “...the sky above...” But that is incorrect. The original Hebrew does not say “sky,” it says “raqia,” most closely translated into the Greek Septuagint as “stereoma,” then into the English as “firmament.” If the Hebrew scribes meant “sky” or “expanse,” they would have used the Greek word “ouranos,” which means “sky” or “atmosphere” in their Greek translation, not “stereoma.” “Stereoma” does not mean sky, it means “a solid body, a support, strength, firmness.” In other words, a DOME.

@@fritzdoerring9058 - "I believe my God is perfect in thought and everything, and therefore He can do anything; even create by evolution." What God _could have_ done is not the same as what God _has_ done. I will not quote for you Genesis 1 - 3, which I'm would hope you are familiar with. Rather, I will give you 2 Peter 1 - "For we did not follow *_cleverly devised myths_* when we made known to you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but we were eyewitnesses of his majesty. For when he received honor and glory from God the Father, and the voice was borne to him by the Majestic Glory, “This is my beloved Son, with whom I am well pleased,” we ourselves heard this very voice borne from heaven, for we were with him on the holy mountain. And we have the prophetic word more fully confirmed, to which you will do well to *_pay attention_* as to a lamp shining in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star rises in your hearts, knowing this first of all, that no prophecy of Scripture comes from someone's own interpretation. For *_no prophecy was ever produced by the will of man, but men spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit."_* 2 Peter;16 - 21 (ESV) (Emphasis added.) The Spirit of God was guiding Moses when he wrote Genesis 1 - 3. When you discount the Genesis account of creation, you discount the work of the Holy Spirit. You make God out to be a liar. At what point do you begin to believe God's Word? At what point do you begin to believe God's Holy Spirit? While you may have thought long and hard on these matters and have come to reconcile these things in your own mind, if your conclusions do not agree with the Word of God, your wisdom has become foolishness. It's that simple. Will you call God a liar? He will call you a liar. An attempt to reconcile evolution of species and common ancestry with the Bible also makes a train wreck out of the doctrine of redemption. "Therefore, just as sin came into the world through *_one man,_* and death through sin, and so death spread to all men because all sinned - for sin indeed was in the world before the law was given, but sin is not counted where there is no law. Yet death reigned from Adam to Moses, even over those whose sinning was not like _the transgression of Adam,_ who was a type of the one who was to come. "But the free gift is not like the trespass. For if many died through *_one man's trespass,_* much more have the grace of God and the free gift by the grace of that one man Jesus Christ abounded for many. And the free gift is not like the result of *_that one man's sin._* For the judgment following one trespass brought condemnation, but the free gift following many trespasses brought justification. For if, because of *_one man's trespass,_* death reigned through that *_one man,_* much more will those who receive the abundance of grace and the free gift of righteousness reign in life through the one man Jesus Christ. "Therefore, as *_one trespass_* led to condemnation for all men, so *_one act of righteousness_* leads to justification and life for all men. For as by the *_one man's disobedience_* the many were made sinners, so by the *_one man's obedience_* the many will be made righteous. Now the law came in to increase the trespass, but where sin increased, grace abounded all the more, so that, as sin reigned in death, grace also might reign through righteousness leading to eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." I love listening to Dr. Tour, particularly for his honesty in exposing the deficiency in modern science in explaining the origin of life and how many modern scientists have been defrauding the masses with mere conjecture, lusting after filthy lucre. Yet, I see Dr. Tour always shying away from mentioning he’s now a Christian. If he’s really born again in Christ, he’s no longer a Jew but a Christian. For it is written, “Where there is neither Greek nor Jew, circumcision nor uncircumcision, Barbarian, Scythian, bond nor free: but Christ is all, and in all.” - Colossians 3:11. I didn’t appreciate his note about Baptists or Christians per se - there are very brilliant Christians I know who can discuss the scriptures with unbelievers with reason and evidence. One brilliant Christian scientist who’s also well known for his rational public arguments for Christianity is Dr. John Lennox. Having a spirit of pride and arrogance is contrary to Christ’s commandments and if Dr. Tour truly considers himself as a believer in Christ, he should be encouraging his brothers and sisters in Christ, no scoffing at them. I think Dr. Tour got the scriptures all wrong - there’s no Jew or non-Jew in Christ. All believers are equal in value before Him, and they are called followers of Christ (aka, Christians).

The Bible does not say that the heavens and the earth were created on the first day. It says that the sun and the moon were created on the first day, pertaining to things in earth. It says in the beginning, meaning the beginning of all things, God created the heavens and the earth, and the earth was without form and void. It gives an indication that there is a section of time between the creation of heaven and earth and then the creation of man. The seven day creation scenario is the creation of everything in the earth, the sun, the moon, the stars, the fish of the sea, the birds of the air, the beast of the field and of course finally man. The 6000 year timeframe is in reference to the existence of man not the earth. I personally believe that there is a gap, that there was the reign of Lucifer that came to an end and the Lord wiped it clean according to two things that can’t be denied. Number one in the book of Genesis when he tells Adam and Eve to go forward and be fruitful and multiply and replenish the earth. How can you replenish something that’s never been full before? The second thing is when Jeremiah has his dream of distruction that comes upon the earth because of all of the chimera and the abominations that are walking all over the face of the earth, he says it’s by fire and yet the only distruction that occurred to that point was the flood. Many say that it is a vision of things to come at the end of this earth age, but the Hebrew does not indicate it as being a future tense expression. When Jeremiah is describing the dream it’s about something that had already happened, like it was a judgment that came from God and God was saying he will do it again. Also in the book of Job, Satan goes before the Lord and the Lord asks him where he has been and what has he been doing. Satan‘s response is that he has been walking in and out up and down in his estate, referring to the earth. The Lord does not rebuke him or correct him when Satan asserts that it is his domain as a ruler, so therefore the Lord’s silence is actually an acknowledgment that the earth at some point or another was given to Lucifer as his estate, however no where in the scripture do you find the event where it was given to him. Additionally Christ refers to Satan as the god of this world and tells a parable about the Vineyard owner sending messengers and finally his own son who the people who have the lease on the Vineyard end up killing them all. The Vineyard is earth, the leaseholder is Satan and has been referred to as the leaseholder several times in scripture. Man is 6000 years old not the earth.

Check out, Dr. Hugh Ross, Christian astronomer on KZbin. He gives the best explanation for the confusion and contradiction in the evolutionary theory. He says speciation happened rapidly in the first 5 'day's of creation but then all but stopped after God created man on the 6th 'day'. This accounts for the enigma of the fossil records. A day, yom', in Hebrew can mean 24 hours, 12 hours or a very long time.. which is what Ross adheres to as an old earth creationist.
@kristenhansen18435 жыл бұрын
24 hours IS a very long time. The holey bible says a day was from 'the evening to the morning', or in the tropics about 12 hours, more or less depending on your latitude. A day and a night at the time of the writing of Genesis would have been about 24 hours. That's pretty clear and one of the few verifiable biblical statements.

@Eisenbison Жыл бұрын
@@uganda_mn397 That is quite a bit different than "faith" in a religious context. The example you're using is synonymous with "trust". But I actually have evidence and experience to have reasonable trust that my mother wouldn't do such a thing. For one thing, I can prove that my mother actually exists and cite her past actions and experience with my brother and father to back me up to be reasonably sure she won't add potassium cyanide to the chicken marinade tonight. The same can be said for this conversation. Both of our accounts are linked to emails and if the NSA, Google or both REALLY wanted to track either of us down, I'm sure they'd be able to find our information and addresses, and from there could prove that we're both real people and that these conversations really do reflect our personal beliefs. Thus, they could prove that this is an actual conversation happening online between two human beings. But what do you have for religion? Any solid evidence or even precedent for any of these superstitious beliefs? Not ONE thing that can be objectively verified. In fact, pretty much every supernatural belief is both logically and physically impossible according to everything we know about reality at all. Positive claims require positive evidence. To characterize japan as some ideal is incorrect.
@donblosser87202 жыл бұрын
Is the highly competitive Japanese business world "peaceful"? Is the highly competitive struggle of students to succeed "peaceful? Why such a high suicide rate? Militarily, Japan is peaceful because it lost a war. The case could be made that post war Japanese culture was influenced by the Christian culture of occupation forces and missionaries. However, from the invasion of China in 1937 to the end of World War II, the Japanese military regime murdered an estimated 10,000,000 people; almost 6,000,000 Chinese, Indonesians, Koreans, Filipinos, and Indochinese, among others, including Western prisoners of war. This democide was due to a morally bankrupt political & military strategy, military expediency & custom, and national culture. NOT so very peaceful.
