James made a point about his gospel music being slow, and the traditional kind of gospel.There is a youtube channel called gospel hydration which showcases all types of christian music, afrobeats, r&b, hiphop etc but they are all gospel, christian music isnt just slow there are different genress, they just arent mainstream. loved this episode

Personally I think we need to be more careful whith artists. Many are not speaking about our God but rather who they truly serve. So I always question an artist intentions. Many see their gospel albums as a quick dollar or they are praising other things but slapping Gods name it so it can sell. Either way let the spirit guide all of us.

The closer you move in God, He processes you, and you continue to move away from things that don't please Him...it's not forced thing, it's a God thing

gospel isn't boring oh! There's a SPECTRUM of gospel that you can hop into. There's afro, reggae, jazz, country, hip-hop, lo-fi - THERE'S A LOT!! Find what suits you. It hits fr. Check the genres that you like and there's a gospel equivalent.

I want to thank you guys for this ministry or podcast. I immediately clicked to listen as soon as I saw the title. I am a Christian who struggles with listening to secular music. I am hispanic and music has always been a big part of my life. I have loved secular music since I can remember. I must say that I like Christian music as much as I like secular music. The Holy Spirit constantly convicts me for listening to secular music. I truly enjoyed listening to your message. I think you guys did a very good job explaining the nature of music and the responsibilities we have as Christians to fill our hearts and thoughts with the things that bring praises to God and glory to him only. This message was amazing, but I think it would be even better if you guys give specific scriptures to support the message. I subscribed to your channel because I want to hear more from you guys. Again, thank you for your message and God bless you all.

Music is a huge part of my culture as well. I'd not trade afro for anything tbh. Butttttttttt since you're Hispanic and it's a huge part of your life, like you said, you could consider Hispanic gospel. (I dont know what exact kind of music you like, sorry) There's this one i like... kzbin.info/www/bejne/sGeToXqkoNOlm7M Kind of has a jazzy vibe to it as well so I just LOVE it. And if you like salsa, this is your song. I could definitely help ya with music recommendation if you're looking to find more gospel sings to fill you up instead of so much secular. God bless x

There is hope for sinners. When you die, you are going to stand before God and give an account for your life. Because God is good, He is going to judge you according to the perfect, moral standard of His Law. If you've ever lied, stolen, or taken His name in vain; He will find you guilty of breaking his Law. Because God is good. he must punish your sin; and the punishment for all sin against God is eternity in Hell. But God is also merciful, loving and kind in that He provided one way to escape that punishment; and that was through the gift of His Son Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ: fully-God and fully-Man, without sin. He Died on the cross a death He did not deserve, in order to take upon Himself the punishment you rightly deserve, for your sins against God. And then three days later He forever defeated sin and death when He rose from the grave. What God requires of you is that you repent (turn from your sin and turn toward God) and by faith alone, receive Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior. Repent & Cry out to Jesus our only savior today!!! He can save you. Cry out to Him! Please do it today!

Yea, we are all growing in the Lord, so thanks for saying 'don't feel bad if you listen to secular music' implying don't condemn yourself, BUT MAY THE HOLY SPIRIT HELP US TO REALISE THAT WE DON'T NEED SECULAR MUSIC. THE MOTIVE/PURPOSE OF ALL MUSIC IS TO DELIVER ENERGY/VIBES/MESSAGE(Positive or negative) Let's use all our creativity - disco, hymns, etc but with lyrics that make JESUS SMILE🙏😀

As a Christian I also think not all secular music is bad as well I think it depends on the lyrics of the song as certain things you should just not be feeding into your spirit as God dwells within us

I agree with you it all depends on the message in the songs ,I don't listen to expletive songs, I'm not saying that you should or shouldn't listen to them it all depends on the messages in the songs ,so everyone has their own choices of music 🎶🎶🎶 so no one should look down on anyone who listen to them or who don't you choose what you want to listen to

Well done guys👍👏🙏. My take on this topic is - Every single day - We have to choose between good and bad. So secular music is bad and Christians should not CHOOSE to listen to it - NO APOLOGY. THE WORLD DOES NOT APOLOGISE FOR NOT CHOOSING TO LISTEN TO MUSIC GLORIFYING GOD. Sometimes the GOSPEL music will not have the name of Jesus in the lyrics, but will have lyrics promoting RESPECT, FORGIVENESS, EXCELLENCE ETC which are all from GOD. Secular music does not promote Godly principles. Well done guys. May God keep blessing you

So true becareful what & who you listen to, some songs will make you feel sad, happy , violent, suicidal , want to kill someone , energetic , want to dance, that's why I listen to 60s, ,70s,80s,90s songs etc.i love Bee Gees songs and I Love the group themselves , I have never listened to music 🎵🎵🎶🎶🎶 that made me feel suicidal or anything like that, I have never listened to music 🎶🎶 that made me kill someone and I'm happy for that

Absolutely. Juice Wrld, XXX, Billie Eilish and so many others, used to be on my daily playlist before I decided to delete their songs. Their songs made me feel something and it was crazy how much I could relate with it but it was harming my mind way too much. I told myself that I didn't want to be sad anymore. So I decided to take away what made me sad and pull closer what have happiness. I don't plan on ever going back.

@Mr jay they really did. It's the relatability of those songs that make them so addictive cuz you're like how did someone steal the words right from my thoughts and turn them into a bop?

God gave you that gift, because when God created human beings he gives us a gift that he knows we will suitable for and so that we will bring glory to his Name! So I believe the gift that you have, is from God! And if you used that gift to Glory for him he will deffo reward at the end!! I hope that answered your question btw🙏🏾

Another great video!! Quick question: do you think we need to be mindful of what artists we listen to when it comes to gospel music? E.g Kanye west and snoop dogg have gospel albums, however they are not known as christians, do you think christians should still incorporate their songs in church services etc?
@christianpod4 жыл бұрын
Priscilla Arthur Yh 💯 because if they are glorifying God who are we to say that they shouldn’t be doing that!! God knows their heart if they doing for him Then they will receive their reward and if not then God will judge not us. So yes as long as it is glorifying God then yes.

ChristianPodcast101 👏🏾AGREE 👏🏾 At the end of the day Kanye west new music doesn’t contain false doctrine he is spreading the word of God. He is at such a high musical impact that unbelievers who used to listen to him have then gone on to listen to his Gospel album and come to Christ. Look at how God has used him and as Christians we should be thankful. Let’s not forget Kanye is literally bipolar and ppl who are bipolar feel sorry for him because they themselves have had bipolar episodes where they seem crazy and even claim that they are Jesus. Let’s just pray for such celebrities, their spiritual attacks must be unimaginable 🤍
