The big names, yes, but smaller indie studios and solo devs keep giving us good experiences. I would agree that we're approaching a "tipping point", possibly sometime this decade, but I reckon it'll be more like some kind of "gaming renaissance" than an outright collapse of the industry. Older, bigger studios that have lost their way will fall apart eventually, and better developers like Larian, Ghost Ship and 11 Bit will rise to take their place. Now, that may still lead to them making the same greedy mistakes in the long run, but we'll cross that bridge if and when we come to it!

From what I see here, lots of physics in Star Wars: Outlaws (2024) feel exactly as they are in Star Wars: Jedi Academy (2003). It's so great that they show such consistency and continuity, a true mastery!

RDR is a game, Outlaws is Disneyland. You're just supposed to *look* at it, and maybe there's a ride or two to go on, but for the most part it's an experience to observe, not one to interact with on a real level.

It feels exactly as if RDR2 were built by Ubisoft. This is the quality we can expect in 2024 from a studio that's been developing AAA games for over 30 years. Truly ground breaking.
