NoSaltiesAnd RoosHere I try to release most all fish I catch here for a cpl reasons. 1. Preserve the fishery, small waters-too many ppl take all they can. Most do not realize it takes quite awhile for growth and appreciable size. 2. Local fish are suspect taste/health due to water quality not being great. Iowa has some of the poorest water quality due to big business/ farm ag. Every once in awhile we keep a few to eat, depending on reports. Exception being DNR stocked trout streams. 5 is a limit and they are raised for harvesting. -Thanks for asking... Edit: reason is for fun and being outside!
