My boss was stopped at stop sign. 5 ton truck sped by her taking off front end of escalade. I was behind her watching. She was very lucky. It never moved. 3 days later i am driving escalade. And maybe for rest of my life. Ps i do feel special driving it. Love love love it.

I love my new 2018 Escalade Luxury in crystal white which i bought in January 2022. I had the 2008 Escalade sport Diamond white since new and it was good enough to last 14 years and counting. I probably would have kept my 2008 but it needed about 6-7k worth of body work and my wife didn’t want me to put that much into a truck that old. I love all the tech and my 4 year old loves the 4g LTE Wi-Fi. The folding 3 row is great and there’s plenty of storage since I don’t have the built-in fridge. The rear camera mirror & 360 view is awesome to have. The 10-speed gives me 30-40 percent better gas than my 2008 6-speed. The best mpg I seen on my 2008 was 17.1 and the 2018 I seen 28 mpg on the same straight highway. The magnetic ride is nice as well with the tour, sport & snow/ice mode. Nothing beats a 2018 Escalade. The headlights looks like fancy jewelry. The 2021+ Escalade looks more like the Tahoe from the front with no special headlights. The 2021+ also is bigger and looks like a school bus. I also like the truck like body on frame that the 1-4 generation had. The 2018 is sleek and classy as well.

I work for Cadillac, and totally agree with her points. However! Don't pick on the poor volume control so much; she was trying to single-click to turn down the volume - it's meant to SLIDE your finger across. All the brushed metal pieces in the center stack are meant to be finger rests to guide your finger.

@alekskuki63356 жыл бұрын
Adams Daily Drive well it is dated because it looks old to some of its competitors? Because it has a column shifter? Thats probably why
@adamsdailydriveway6 жыл бұрын
aleks kuki - idk what she’s basing the dated opinion on, she did say the boxy body style, but there are many boxy bodies still, g63 is the key for box suvs, as far as huge suvs this Escalade is the same as Tahoe, suburban, Yukon, and navigator just changed up for 18, but remember the 07 Escalade went upto a 2014, so 7 years strong and they are still at dealers selling and only look dated due to its tech, but I don’t think this Escalade body style will be changed until maybe 2020 or 2021.
@alekskuki63356 жыл бұрын
Adams Daily Drive yeah, that’s true.. the escalade is known for its shape and size, but it looks old compared to the new g63 or some range rovers or even the jeep grand cherokee, I don’t think she meant the box shape tho

Everything you said about the escalde was so on point I do wish Cadillac put more "mmmf" into the interior design cause it's not the best 🤷🏾♀️ but as a owner of an escalde I can say this it's an amazing SUV being the fact my Escalade is 16 years old but when your on the high way coming in hot nobody sits and or tries to run you off the road nor tailgates you they admire that big hunk of a suv 😂🤣 and not to sound cocky or anything but you feel so much better than everyone 🤷🏾♀️ like any Escalade owner could some what agree. But since this truck was passed down to me I can for sure say you gotta ask yourself why😂🤣 cause it's a whole lot of truck. But tbh the Escalade oh it's an eye catcher and I wouldn't want to trade in ol girl even if I had to😋
@ericmartin8946 жыл бұрын
my gripe about this truck is the column shifter,no panoramic roof,and no independent rear suspension. the Navigator is slightly better than the Escalade due to the interior. the Escalade has the V8 which is the only reason why I'll take it over the Navigator

It is still a Truck. By the way, very well made. The consumer which looks for an Escalade knows what they are bringing home. To be honest, after Tesla none of those cars make sense anymore. However, I would consider buying a brand new Escalade without thinking twice. It still has the connotation of the American Luxury family car. It is big, strong and reliable.
@alliejr6 жыл бұрын
In my experience, the ride is smooth but the NVH is so poor that all the interior bits are constantly jiggly and squeaking, even from new. Interior fit and finish is 3rd rate. The 3rd row is a joke (as is true in all of these GM SUVs) because the solid rear axle requires the seat to sit on the floor, therefore your knees hit your chin- FAIL. It's fake luxury.

No, it doesn’t! 1-). Too much plastic, and no real wood, 2-). No air suspension, 3-). Horrible display graphics and rear-view cámara, 4-). Build exclusively for the suburban American Exceptionalist. GM has the technology to revamp the Escalade to pair it, at least, with any RangeRover Autobiography... Even best it!! The problem is that, with such an upgrade, no one will fork the $200k Cadillac will ask for such a vehicle.

@BolitaDeKetica6 жыл бұрын
Navigator is an upscale Ford Explorer. I don’t believe any domestic vehicle having real wood or carbonfibre! You remove a piece from an Escalade and I bet is painted plastic. You get into a Rover or a GLS it’s actually wood. Or as a GM rep told me at a car show, “carbonfibre-like composites.” Again, both Ford and GM build cars for the American market exclusively, since in order to sell, a recipe of marketing and patriotism is required. Where else but the good ol US of A?!
@BinSulaiti036 жыл бұрын
Yo Mimito but Cadillac said they use real wood, so are they lying ?
@BolitaDeKetica6 жыл бұрын
I don’t know. You’re the one defending them, not me! When the ZR1 came out, I inspected that vehicle from top to bottom... PLASTIC or as they refer to as “polycarbonate composites.” Look at the carbonfibre on a Porsche or AMG, then move to a Corvette. You’ll see the difference! I rather pay $25k on such package on an import, than $8k on a domestic. The American industry love code language to sell junk, and for an enthusiast like myself, once I’m told “-like materials”, I lose interest quick.

Unless you need to carry more than 5 ppl then a Range Rover walks all over this piece of junk.
