It is just amazing that the Cadillac Escalade gets better and better each generation, it continues to dominate. Also, it won't stop from there. There will be a V Series and an EV version or variant of the Escalade of this model's life cycle. A good time to be a Cadillac fan.

We can hate all we want but I’m not going to act like this is not the best Luxury SUV ever. The fact is, nothing compares to level of practicality, technology, space, luxury and safety like this New Escalade has. It basically has everything Rolls-Royce, Range Rover Mercedes GLS Maybach have and more. It is the only SUV that can really come close to driving itself.

I agree, the Sport wheels are my favorite also. I actually like these wheels too though, they definitely serve their purpose of providing a much classier and sophisticated look for the people who are seeking/wanting that and opting for a Premium Luxury trim to obtain it. They would’ve looked better here had they been larger to fill out those wheel wells and complete that bad-ass *King of the Road* stance the Escalade is known for. Honestly a Sport Platinum in Black Raven would be my taste and aftermarket would probably be the direction I’d go in as far as wheels mainly just to acquire a larger set of wheels probably something similar to the Escalade Sport trim’s wheel design since I like them. But there’s nothing wrong with going aftermarket and choosing something completely different from the manufacturer’s wheels allowing your Cadillac Escalade to stand out just a tad bit. Great review btw!

Funny, the sport wheel is my least favorite part of the Escalade...as I like to take long drives and anticipate greater discomfort and greater chance for blowouts and such because of the large wheel. Most people who buy for looks, buy for impressing their neighbors/friends with no intention of driving beyond 15K/year. Whereas I love the Pano roof and the audio as do 5k+ miles quite often with friends and everything that is "sport" including the seat leads to back problems.

The meager mpg on the regular gasoline version where one has to use expensive premium gas holds no interest to me, but the diesel one with cheaper diesel gas (much cheaper then premium) with 30+ mpg on the highway holds great interest to me. I don't care for the dashboard because the only display I care for is the one connected to internet which connects me to everything. Disappointed that the smallest tire size is 22" as smaller tire sizes would be so much more comfortable on long drives...planning to go to 7K miles round trip this week and the next time I take such trip, I want it on the diesel version of this escalade. Love the audio too.

Only thing I’ll say about the wheels are that even though they’re 22”, they have enough tire sidewall to absorb road imperfections. The ride stays plenty plush

Hey Miles, I really liked this in depth review of the Escalade. It’s a great iconic vehicle but has its downsides. Kinda wished there was some more leather in the very back seats, like a BMW X7 or some other luxury three rows would have. That way, everyone would be comfortable and not have to worry about touching the plastics. But overall, great review 👍🏼

50:10 - Did you just beauregard that minivan lady? Surely she submitted to your raw road presence- and that is proper use of Escalade swagger. Refrigerator console is much more of a statement about domineering decadence than about excess. Cadillac people can always reflash another 40hp out of that V8's ECU so power is no issue. Keep this up and 1M subs will come onboard in a year.

Apple CarPlay does NOT need to take up the whole display Miles. Exactly! Also, the BMW X7 and Mercedes-Benz GLS are unibody vehicles, while the Cadillac Escalade and Lincoln Navigator are bofy-on-frame vehicles. In general, body-on-frame vehicles have higher towing capacity than car-based unibody counterparts. Plus, the Escalade and Navigator can seat up to 8 people, unlike the X7 and GLS.

The Chevrolet Tahoe and Suburban, the GMC Yukon and Yukon XL, and the Cadillac Escalade account for 50% of all large SUV sales in the US. GM makes 340,000 of them every year and exports about 80,000 to 31 countries. They’re made in GM’s plant in Arlington, Texas, which is said to be the most profitable assembly plant in the world. We estimate they generate $20 billion in revenue for GM and about $4 billion in profits. Autoline Daily.

Not as impressive as I thought it would be from watching the reveal and everybody first impressions when they was shipping the pre production model to store to allow them to look at it to now watching some reviews besides from the 38inch oled nothing would make me once this over the GMC Yukon Denali which is cheaper but offers just about the same when it comes to safety and amenities besides the 36 speaker sound system , self driving capability & that oled screen not much justifies it. Thanks for your review Im thinking I'm now just going to wait and see what The Grand wagoneer does , and see how ford & lincoln respond with there upcoming refreshes of the lincoln & expedition. All around though the escalade is a convincing buy from an enthusiast perspective

The ride quality is another point in the Escalade’s favor. Only the Lexus LX 570 has the same level of smoothness in this segment. Agree that you can definitely save some $ on the Yukon Denali as well if you like the look and don’t need the OLED (but that display is seriously impressive)
@mybro7274 жыл бұрын
You have no idea how different the owner experience is between an Escalade Platinum and a Yukon Denali. Hell even a base Luxury trim Escalade, the Cadillac is still superior to the GMC in technology, aesthetic and comfortability. A lot of the story is *underneath* the sheetmetal. You have to have driven them both to truly understand this. The Escalade will literally sell itself. The Yukon is also a gorgeous beast but it’s really just a Tahoe High Country with a more upscale interior and a bit better value than the Cadillac. Not the same experience at all. Literally two different customers.
