Players have to take some responsibility. I was at a game Saturday where the linesman gave a throw in. The ref, correctly, gave it the other way as the linesman had spotted a deflection. A defender then shouted at the ref telling him to take notice of his linesman and at the linesman telling him to keep his flag up.

The referees are definitely very bad in the Premier League. Don't know if it's worse than foreign leagues, but it's definitely worse now than it's ever been in my quarter-century of watching football. Been a rare lucky weekend for Chelsea fans though -- very glad for Liverpool beating Tottenham too, the top four race is as lit as the title race this year.
