جَزَاكَ ٱللَّٰهُ sheikh I wish I had known about the salafusaliheen long ago. “Sheikhs and muftis” hold high credibility amongst those of us who are ignorant. So we just follow blindly. Not only have you cleared up this misconception but also encouraged us to question what we are taught by our “scholars”. This wasn’t something that was practiced before.

"This Ashaa'irah do not use these types of Hadith in matters of Aqeedah". These types of blunders are not helping you my brother. Go and do more research on how Ashaa'irah use ahaad narrations please, for your and your followers sake. Not being able to articulate their nuanced position on this matter really makes me question whether you have understood it.

What you all need to accept and deal with, is the reality of the matter is, for every refutation, there is a counter refutation. This drama you are engaging in is cyclical. Everytime you say one thing, there’s a response to it. Scholars differed on all these matters. For example, we follow Al Imam Al Nawawi and the Imam tells us when visiting the best of Creation ﷺ , that we should ask Him ﷺ for His intercession and to ask الله عزّ و جلّ to forgive us. You can see this for yourself in the Imam’s book on Hajj and the manner of visiting Madina Munawarra.

Aslm Sheikh, I wish that Sheikh did this privately. These types of things causes so much divide in our already divided Ummah and I don’t think Allah SWT would be pleased with that. We must cover one another as Muslim brothers and sisters and in my opinion It would Have been better if Sheikh spoke to Mufti AK privately. May Allah SWT grant all of us guidance and forgive us of our shortcomings. Ameen
