Does the Quran Really Teach that Allah is One? The Tawhid Dilemma Ep. 2

Contrary to the God of Christianity, Muslims believe that Allah is not JUST a singular being but also a singular person.
In this episode, Al Fadi and Sam Shamoun will briefly explain the idea of Tawhid within Islam before delving into the key question:
Do the Islamic Sources teach a Unitarian Monotheism?
From there, Sam takes us on a journey through Surah 15 (book 15) ayat 28-29 (verse 28-29) of the Quran explaining the dilemma that arises from Allah breathing his Spirit into Adam. Sam goes further to support this dilemma by also referring to Surah 19 ayat 16-19 where Allah sends his Spirit in the form of a man who is given the power to create life.
So how can the Spirit not be God, when he can do the things that only God can do?

In the name of thy Lord and Cherisher, who created - created man, out of a mere clot of congealed blood. -- Sura 96:1-2 Apart from the fact that "a mere blood clot" is scientifically wrong, let us see what further ideas the Qur'an presents on how God creates human beings. It is he who has created man from water -- Sura 25:54 And God has created every living creature from water. -- Sura 24:45 We created man from sounding clay, from mud moulded into shape. -- Sura 15:26 Amongst his signs is this, that he created you from dust. -- Sura 30:20 Blood clot? water? clay? dust? The Qur'an doesn't really seem all that sure what God used and seems to imply that He took just anything he could get his hands on. But this is still not all in this confusion: God createth what He willeth: When he hath decreed a plan, He but saith to it, "Be," and it is! -- Sura 3:47 He just says the word "be" and it is, there is no making a mess with water, clay, blood clots or dust, just a clean "there it is". Right? Sura 4:82 claims that there is no discrepancy in this Qur'an!

I think that your Satan has forsaken you, for I have not seen him with you for two or three nights!” On that, Allah revealed: “By the fore-noon, and by the night when it darkens, your Lord (O Muhammad) has neither forsaken you, nor hated you.” (Surah 93.1-3). Let us analyze this incident. The wife of Abu Lahab expressed that Muhammad’s Satan had forsaken him. And unbelievably Allah answers by saying that he has not forsaken Muhammad. In fact, he reveals a Qur’anic verse reassuring Muhammad, “Your Lord has not forsaken you.” Now, why would Allah inspire a Qur’anic verse saying that he has “not forsaken” Muhammad when the accusation of Abu Lahab’s wife was specifically directed to Satan - that Satan had forsaken him? Why did Allah put himself in Satan’s shoes? Is this not an admission that he is Satan? By inspiring a Qur’anic verse to answer on behalf of Satan, is not Allah giving away himself as Satan? Let us put this in a much clearer format for our Muslim readers to understand. Woman’s accusation: “O Muhammad! I think that your Satan has forsaken you.” Allah’s response: “Your Lord has not forsaken you.”

The question is then, if allah used the "royal we", why did he give a verse that states the Quran is made plain, or clear to understand? The "plural of majesty" is mass confusion, not clear, plain speech. According to Qur’an, Allah has laid down solution of every human problem in the Qur’an very clearly. Qur’an says: “and We have revealed the Book to you *explaining clearly everything (16:89).* “This is the book, in it is guidance for sure *without doubt,* to those who fear Allah”. *(2:2)* “This Qur’an is not such as can be produced by other than Allah, on the contrary it is a confirmation of (revelations) that were sent before it, and a full explanation of the book, *wherein* *there is not doubt* from the Lord of the worlds”. *(**10:37**)* *“These are the verses of the book that* *make things clear”. Describing the person of (Jehovah) God is not an easy feat for anyone, but it's imperative in many ways, especially in order to understand the basics like the Genesis aka "the beginning", & getting past it. If one doesn't understand the very person of God, they'll never fully understand how "man is made in the image of God", or what's meant by God saying "Let us make man in our image, after our likeness". It's more than just a vague picture or rough understanding. But it helps one recognize exactly who they are & why. The importance of our very own person, conscience, body, soul, meaning, intelligence, function, understanding, morality, etc. As well as our purpose in this life, as a valued member of society, & our purpose in the eternity to come. Interesting that the words for "angel" is the same in Hebrew & Arabic as well as the Hebrew word for "spirit" being the same in Arabic.

During the past 18 years of my studies, I've collected a dozen translations, and they're all consistent in exposing the stupidity, depravity, misogyny, and the deceit of this numen to which Muslims submit. Eight of my Qurans are by Muslims, four are by Orientalists. I'm pretty sure Muslims haven't conspired with infidels to make this god sound so utterly mindless; Allah is what he's always been, an idol of the jahiliyah who is completely devoid of intelligence.

I have a few things to refute there. First of all, if Surah al-Hijr(15) ayah 29 really means that it was the "spirit of Allah" that was blown into the body of Adam Alayhissalam, then all of the available English translations by all of the Muslim scholars have to say so. But in fact, in the Sahih International translation, it says "And when I have proportioned him and breathed into him of My [created] soul, then fall down to him in prostration." So in this translation it says the spirit which was blown into Adam was CREATED, and basically to make it clear of this part, the mistake is reading a particular translation and then interpret or taking it as what it fully means without diving deeper into what the ayah really means. In Surah Maryam ayah 17, it clearly says in the Mufti Taqi Usmani translation as "then she used a barrier to hide herself from them. Then We sent to her Our Spirit, [Jibra'il] and he took before her the form of a perfect human being." See how translations work now? It's clearly said in the translation in the brackets that the spirit was the Angel Jibril. Again, problem with language. Again in Surah Maryam ayah 19 it continues in the Mufti Taqi Usmani translation which says "He said: I am but a message-bearer of your Lord(sent) to give you a boy, purified" and in the Sahih International translation it says "He said: I am only the messenger of your Lord to give you [news of] a pure boy." So looking at these 2 translations, we can conclude that the spirit sent was the Angel Jibril and his purpose was to give news to Mary Alayhissalam that she will give a miraculous birth to Jesus Christ Alayhissalam. Addressing to the man's question which is "How can the spirit not be God, when he can do things that only God can do, namely to create and give life?" My answer is "Because God gave permission to the spirit to do so. And the spirit is definitely NOT God because although the spirit can create and give life, but it only did it once. It didn't create the universe, it didn't create Paradise and Hell, it didn't establish the laws that maintain this universe we live in, and it didn't create space, matter and time, and God created everything, including the spirit itself. That's why the spirit is NOT God."

Kevin Ong Jun Hong kindly avoid these sources that you have used since you are only relying on Islamic translations of the Arabic with their own biases included... do you read and understand Arabic? The Arabic says an entirely different story... we really don’t care what any English translation says, they are all corrupt by their own bias... there was no Jibril, and no created Spirit... they had to insert these phrases because they recognize the problem...

@@CIRAInternational I'm not an arabic speaker nor do I understand arabic, and I am suggesting you to go to Speakers Corner at London and look for people like Hashim, Mansur, Ali Dawah and other Muslim preachers there known to explain the Quranic Arabic. I'm not an expert on this so I would like you to refer to these guys which are experts and they can explain the Quran to you. Peace :)

You would only say the spirit is not God if you do not know God. Jesus said "you do not know who you worship... but the time is coming and its already here when God's people shall worship God not in the mountains nor in Jerusalem. But they shall worship Him in truth and and in SPIRIT, because GOD is SPIRIT, and his worshippers shall worship him in SPIRIT. So you see God is Spirit. And with his spirit you can worship him and do everything on God's level. Not that God gives permission to his spirit.. but that the spirit is God. And angel Gabriel is not the spirit. Unless you don't know he's angel Gabriel the messenger of God. The angel who is sent by God to deliver news to God's people only. God bless you

My problem is, I watch so many channels that expose the problems of Islam, I don't always remember which source I gather info from. I'm thinking it was was during one of Shamoun's many visits with Al Fadi, and they were discussing the claim of Allah's "oneness". The subject came up that "Tawhid" is found nowhere in the Arabic, and how Muslims who claim it is the same as "ahad", which Muslims claim is "oneness", and IS found in the Arabic. But rather than connoting "oneness", the accurate definition of ahad is "one of", and the dialogue when on from there. Allah is "one of" what? One of the pagan idols of the jahiliyah that had always been one that the pagan Arabs worshiped? One of what??? Do you recall hearing such a discussion in a CIRA video? This has been bugging me since their newest series has started, so perhaps you recall that this subject was at least touched on previously by these two men?!

I was listening to an ex-Muslim last week, and he said when he was finally able to break free of Islam, he could confess he'd always felt like a test subject in some experiment, and Allah was the mad scientist behind it all. I've learned a lot from the apostates. We can all read their books, but only our ex-Muslims can tell us their horror stories of when they were enslaved by Allah.
