We never wrapped our hay on our farm (both beef and dairy farm along with other random critters) my grandpa never did, uncle never did, dad never did. The only thing that got covered was silage and maybe the occasional small bail. We have many farm friends that run their farms in many different ways. So chad run your farm your way. Try different ways even if you want and see what works best for your needs and your animals. Weather isn’t always the deciding factor either so do you! Your animals are happy and healthy so you’d do what’s best for them!

Sometimes a parent needs to sit back and let the child figure things out. Sometimes it's nice when they step in and assist. It's a personal thing when that time is needed. Then there are times when nothing gets in the way of a good cookie and some milk or juice box. Thanks for pointing out the camera. I have been putting off getting a GoPro because of the lack of video display on either side of the camera. Nice to know there are alternatives and that it's waterproof for those rainy and drizzly days.

Barbed wire was invented in and by a man Joseph glidden from my hometown in 1874 in Dekalb Illinois! We are home of the Barbie crow! And home of dekalb corn 🌽 as well! Lots of amazing farm stuff was invented and implemented in my town/county! Just a tiny farm history lesson since you brought up barb wire. Someday maybe you’ll even grow dekalb corn when you have land that allows for it! I love driving around this country seeing all the barb wire and dekalb corn signs along fields and farms! Old reliable inventions mix with new is okay in my book! Double the safety too!
