I have the RS7 Performance for nearly 5 years and have had no issues with it. None. It just needs regular servicing. I am the 2nd owner. I also just had the brakes changed. So, discs and pads all around at 85k kms. I believe that is the first time they have been changed so they do last if you're not a bellend behind the wheel. There are cheaper after market options available. It also needs a turbo oil filter change/upgrade that is covered under recall warranty, so just make sure that has been done.

I just watched your review: well done! All aspects of RS6 ownership well summarized. After a few RS models, we now own a Sepang blue RS6 C7 for years. Fortunately, we don't have to ask ourselves about a real sports car next to it, because we own those (me being a lucky idiot). As an "only vehicle" for a petrolhead, the RS6 is fairly good. Sound, looks, but also comfort and practicality are given with this car. As an alternative to the RS6 C7 as an “only car”, I see an RS4 B8 or B7, M5 F90 or a new M3 touring. But I agree with you: A slightly cheaper everyday car and a real sports car (under 1500 kilos, 300 hp upwards) are - if you have to look a bit more at the budget - the better solution for a petrolhead. Anyway: Thanks for the review!

I used to enjoy lightweight cars - I had a modified hot hatch that was a lot of fun untl I moved to Audi, and realised it's a whole different level in terms of quality and performance. Being in the 2 ton department I don't miss the 890kg pocket rocket thing, there's a lot more to driving than being lighter.
@sarcastixx742 ай бұрын
Even though I love (and personally prefer) the Sepang blue on my own C7.5 RS6, the Ascari blue on this example is really growing on me. Seems to be extremely rare too, when I was in the market for one of these at the beginning of the year I can remember only one being available during my 3 months of searching. Very subtle and understated, helps the car blend in much easier compared to the much brighter Sepang variant. Noticed that you drove the whole time in dynamic mode, would've been good to see demos of the other comfort/individual modes. Having had full fat M cars over the years I'm so glad I switched over to Audi, had a stage 2 480hp B8 S4 before upgrading to the RS6. Even though the RS6 has over 700hp and near 1000nm, it never seems to urge me on like all the M cars seem to do. Getting around 24-30mpg a tank too, unbelievable given the power and weight this lump has. An enjoyable review, keep up the good work!
@petrolpoodleАй бұрын
Thank you so much pal, and that's very eagle-eyed of you! I actually drove the first 10 mins (that I don't think made the cut) in comfort before switching, and I totally forgot to ever switch around! A good lesson for future videos to make a point of switching between them often and reviewing that part!
@sarcastixx74Ай бұрын
@@petrolpoodle No problem, glad it helped! I couldn't drive for long in my own in dynamic mode, it came with a Milltek sports catted downpipe and it can go off like an AK47 when backing off the throttle so I rarely ever use it. I've configured the individual mode to allow the engine noise but no cracks n pops so its a happy medium. Cheers

Whenever I see a gorgeous fast estate car like this I just wanna bin the massive rims and rubber band tyres and put a chunky wheel & tyre combo on instead. They always look one pothole or curb away from complete destruction. Cars beautiful though, you can feel the torque through the screen.

Great review, new to your channel, so I have a Porsche Panamera 4 Ehybrid Sport Turismo and its similar running costs but lower, for example servicing is every 2years or 20,000 miles, sits on 21" wheels, is a big car, and on average returns close to 30mpg! Expenses are mainly tyres (had a puncture recently and was £340 for a Porsche recommended conti sport 5) . Love the car and I could Stage 1 it to give better efficiency but more power and torque similar to the RS6 too! And if you want to review Penelope, let me know!

Spot on review and love the verdict 👍 Currently figuring out the same question for months now and first quarter of 2025 I want to make the final call. I've got a pretty decent job with a company car, no CEO position or whatsoever but it's fine. The misses drives our private Skoda Kodiaq with tons of space and I'm in the market for: BMW M2 (F87) fun car or we trade in the Skoda and upgrade towards RS6. Keep up the good work!

Nice review. Thx for that. I currently saving money to buy me a rs6. I absolutely want that car. The looks, the interior, the power... I am driving an audi a4 2020 at the moment. So i kind of already got in touch with the cost of maintenance of an audi. And everywhere i research for an audi rs6, you get warned and scared away because of these high maintenance costs... Most people wanna buys a car and dont wanna spent a dime more than needed on it and thats totally fine. But i see it in a different way. For me this car is a childhood dream. I want to spent money on it. I mean for what am i going to work? When the car needs sth new fitted or changed im happy to pay for it because its giving (i hope) me so much fun and happiness. So lets see. Lets buy one and see how high the costs really are. And if i dont like it i can sell it.

I owned a 2018 Audi RS6 performance for a year. Sadly I couldn’t bond with it - big turbo lag and it didn’t actually feel very fast. Initially I thought it might be an issue with my particular car, but I drove three others and they all felt a little underwhelming to me. I wanted to like it but it didn’t tick many boxes in the end I’m sad to say

Looking at this awesome review becuase thinking of getting one of these. I pretty much have for me a perfect setup: 993 for “slow” fun and B8 S4 for family trips and winter. The issue is, S4 is becoming old, and a bit too small for family trips as kids grow. The S4’s supercharged engine is a blast and in real world with a stage 1 tune not many family cars can be significantly faster. Being a manual gives also extra fun to it. I love driving, but don’t use a daily. So it is pretty much every trip I take is to enjoy the car travelling somewhere. Will the RS6 be as fun as a manual S4? The performance is higher but not really that much actually. RS6 look and sound awesome, but wondering if they are worth the costs in the end for a bit extra performance and sound. I won’t race the car with family obviously so dynamics aren’t such a concern,(have 911 for that) but I like an autobahn blast. Don’t see many other options, Panamera Sport Turismo is above my car budget, I don’t like interior of BMWs (550 is also an underliable engine) and Benz aren’t my cup of tea either. Though decisions in the world where so much is SUV and those are a no-go for me.
@petrolpoodle18 күн бұрын
Thank you! And that's an absolutely epic two car garage!! My honest instinct is for you to keep the S4 (that manual especially and it being supercharged, I think it'll be louder and more immediate in response) and I'd look at a roofbox for those big family trips where you need more space? The RS6 is bloody brilliant but I think coming from your setup you'd miss the driving interaction and fun. If you massively want the more modern touches/spec plus extra space the RS6 is still a good shout
