Does this really work for Recalibrating your throttle?

What's up guys, I heard about recalibrating your throttle body by following a few steps. Figured I'd try, let me know if it works for you? Enjoy!

The proper way to recalibrate the throttle body is as follows: Turn ignition to run Depress accelerator to floor Keep accelerator matted for 20 seconds. SLOWLY release accelerator take 10 seconds. Depress brake and start ignition. My friend you will have a property calibrated throttle body adjusted for any max flow aftermarket exhaust and Cold air intake you probably had installed. Your Baby will no longer feel sluggish or have any delay just awesome acceleration!!!

Same apply for a manual Scat Pack? Keep in mind i have tazer and it only wakes up the auto so it bangs gears harder..

@@gearhead4005 do you have an automatic? Also Google fuse pull 31 it will wake the beast up I just feel it will be more noticeable in an auto..

@JRTProductions, it is not a theory. It's the factory throttle recalibration procedure. It is perform to return the throttle response back to production specs. The car's pcm adaptive learning stores the driver's habits of pressing the accelerator pedal. For example if a person drives like a granny it will remember that type of throttle response or if you tend to smash the throttle it remember that response. The steps were correct, but it needs to be done in one continuous sequence for it to work. Not pausing to read the next step or adjust camera etc. I hope you got it to recalibrate the throttle. That makes for a Happy Hemi. Blessings.

After being stuck doing nothing but City driving for nearly 2 months, my 2016 Challenger Scat Pack Shaker 6 Speed began to run sluggish on me. A Dodge Tech told me to PULL the #31 Fuse (25 AMP white fuse) for 10 mins, re-install the fuse and wait 10 mins, the start it up, let it idle for a minute until the rpms naturally slow back down and GO!!! I did personally try this and I did find that pulling that #31 Fuse did the trick for me. She took off like a scared rabbit!! Give that a shot and see if it helps you out?? It worked for me. I try your method but didn't work, so I tried a other method I saw which setting the key to run position wait until all dash board light settle off, then smash the gas pedal way down then wait 7-10 seconds then release slowly for 7-10 seconds, then take out the key and replace it back in and start it up for a drive ....and after driving for a couple time the acceleration mode change to a silent running engine, more power to the floor and accurate acceleration in low and high gear ...all the fluctuate power Dodge caliber came with disappeared. Especially the that muffler roar every one taking about went away.

It def does something!.. I tried it and put it in sport mode and gave it a few revs and it def sounded more aggressive. But when I got the tazer in, and pedal commander on sport+4, it sounds like a HellCat!..😁

I tried this and I don't think it's worth my time. The only thing I noticed was it felt different when the a8 was going through the gears in normal mode. I also have less than 5,000 miles on my car, so maybe that's why I didn't feel a difference in throttle response.

Why not just take the battery cables loose and reset the computer. It should make the necessary adjustments to accommodate any aftermarket mods.

i have a 2016 challenger hellcat feels a little sluggish I tried changing it to sport mode I don't feel the resistance it feels like the car is downshifting constantly and the horsepower is really not there I did a hundred on the highway feels like I was doing only 40 to 45 miles an hour smh

Listen I don't mind and this is how I do it I put the key on I put it in almost to start but first I hit the pedal five times hold it down then I turn the key okay and let the pedal go up slowly real slowly then what I do is once the light shut off did I finish taking the puddle I turn it off take the key out I'll wait until all the lights shut off and what I do I go one time put the foot on the gas all the way down then I hit the key again then I do the same thing bring the pedal slowly up and that's how I fix mine

Actually what this does is set the car back to learning mode . Works on all makes . Did this on my 2017 6.2 Silverado before I added my tune . Did the tune stage 3 Diablo and much better response . But then again mine is 7 thousand pound 577hp small cam truck that eats most cars lol

It doesn't work I know from the service management team you need the software to do it, they recalibrated mine after 10k oil change and I felt a difference I guess you should ask them to do it they do it for free

That trick....does nothing but wastes your time. Resetting your adaptives and fuel trims can make your car more quicker and a lil more responsive. Just buy yourself a Diablo Intune Tuner and up your boost. Run a 91 or 93 octane tune also, and much more. Trust me, it is worth it.
