The flaw in Acho’s(and the market’s) logic is this, “You start at the highest and go up.” You should start at the “BEST,” and see where you sit in that hierarchy. People always talk about “market value,” for QB’s, but they’re not seafood. They’re more like cars-and there’s, at any given time, 1-3 Ferraris, 1-3 Pintos, and a whole bunch of good, reliable pickup trucks. But you have all these F-150’s walking in and demanding(and getting) Ferrari money. Owners need to be like, “Look-if you want me to pay you Mahomes money, you need to give me Mahomes results-what kind of car are you with bad gas and bald tires?” Because Mahomes has proven he can win with anyone. Tua didn’t even make the post season before Hill, Pat’s won two without him.

Problem with that is then they get into the exact same trouble the Cowboys got into with Dak. Then, just like Dak did, he can force them into a deal with no trade clause and no tag clause.

Tua the last two seasons in December and January (including the playoffs): 3-8, 14 Tds/10 Ints, 220 yards per game. Six of those games are at home or indoors. Six were nationally televised. Two of the wins are against Sam Howell and Trevor Siemian. His numbers drop off both during the season and within individual games. Tua is a pitcher with a great fastball (his deep post routes) but doesn't have another pitch, and so can't get batters out the second time through the lineup, much less the third

Here we go again, blame McCarthy. No people blame the real problem, Jerry Jones. McCarthy didn't throw all the interceptions, Dak Prescott did. Maybe if Jerry Jones actually let McCarthy make some of the major decisions, like what players HE would like playing for him, things might be different.
