I just needed to tighten the left pedal in the direction you mentioned and the thump I could hear and feel when turning near the top during use is gone. No more annoyance when exercising on my air bike. Problem solved. Thank you!!

A big thank you for the tip on checking the pedal! I struggled for several hours looking for the cause of the grinding noise inside the housing until I found this website and followed your advice. I quickly replaced the pedal and the problem was solved. I feel rather stupid for not having tried this first but, better late than never. Thanks again!

Can’t thank you enough. That fixed my problem. A shot of WD40 white lithium in each pedal and it’s like new. I will do this regularly

Thank you so much!!! I had the same clicking on the right pedal. But, my pedals felt pretty snug even pull out on them, not loose like the ones in the video. But I said what the heck, let me just take the pedal all the way off anyway and screw it back on again and......presto!! All fixed, with no clicking. Thanks again!!

so you didn't have to replace it? you just put the original ones back on?

I dont have this issue with the eliptical bike i have. It's good as new and i've had it for almost 2 years now (not long at all but still) my old bike came apart because the peddles came off cause i had the resistance way too tight (it was one of those eliptical bikes with the bike chain) the one i got 2 years ago looks kinda similar to this one :) i just dont keep the resistance high and i never have to worry about it coming apart. But if it for some reason does, i can revert back to this video. Thanks again!

I have a Life Fitness 95c with sloppy pedal bearings. They seem serviceable, however I can only find part numbers for the entire assemblies. Any idea if the bearings can be sourced and replaced? Thanks!

My right pedal is making the same grinding noise and I was very quickly able to narrow it down to the pedal itself. I tried to get it off but as you said, it is tight so I'm going to have to apply a bit more pressure to loosen it

My brand new (cheap) bike makes noise every time after doing 5 km, its ok every day for the first 5 or so. Any ideas?

Tip: if you want viewers of your video to hear barely audible noises your bike is making, don't place the mic 30 feet away

The noise mine is making is when it's not being used, sort of buzzing sometimes from the pedal area. Any ideas? I haven't used it for years, the console stopped working and I found the loose connection, now the buzzing is bothering me.
