What an absolute legend. Ray Price, Terry Randall, Dallas Donnelly Craig Young, Gavin Miller..... just the toughest players and a pleasure to watch back then. Throw in Frank Hyde's commentary, and that was my youth on weekends.

I watched Ray Price as a kid. My idle. I played #8 Lock. I learnt how to tackle by recording Rays games on VHS and replaying over and over. Thankyou Ray. You will always be the greatest Lock forward that has ever played the game. A true blue Aussie hero. Good bless

I followed rugby for many years and watched Ray whom I thought was one of the greatest breakaways I'd ever seen his ability to follow the ball was uncanny. I was very sad when we lost him to league but followed him anyway. Wow just amazing it was like the game was just waiting for him. I'm now almost 70 and hardly watch union....not the same game but league has just progressed so much. Proud Manly supporter but still love this wonderful guy.

Good interview Jake, well done…important to capture legends like Ray Price while we can. One of my all time favourite players. I worked with his daughter about 20 years ago…passed on my admiration for the great Ray Price

He's 100% right about today's players, only care about the money and nothing else. No loyalty to teams just go to the highest bidder. As an Eels fans, Pricey is a true legend.

The immortal roster has been very political since day one. There are 4 Eels players that should be indoctrinated into the honour but I have ridiculed the selection process since it first started.

An absolute gentleman and an Aussie who calls a spade a spade. How I know? Local gold coast bus service I used to catch sometimes and Ray was the driver. He couldn't get away from me. Sometimes he'd do the northern service and I'd be lucky enough to catch his bus to my job. I asked him once why he's still driving a bus. He said because we used to have to have a job. Thinking about it, the women's game today sounds like the financial problems the men suffered even before Ray's time in the game

The current squad should be forced to watch this interview over and over again so it sinks in what it means to play for the Eels jumper, especially our forwards. He's 100% right about leaving nothing on the field or anything in the gas tank for next week. If they had the 1% that Jack Gibson taught those players back then in the 2022 GF they would have beaten the Panthers but alas that's the difference between a good coach and a great coach. BA's excuse when interviewed was that they played their GF the week before against the Cowboys - a defeatist mind set. BA is a good coach but a great coach would of got them up for the GF.

Respect for Ray Price but not Steve Mortimer. Every clip I’ve seen of him he comes in with a punch - Peter Moore’s lap dog - now he’s got concussion related issues.
