I have commented before how there has been a swing toward more lighter/brighter interiors being available across the price range. This is attributed to the European influence. Their units are generally smaller and the light colors helps keep from feeling that way.

Ya these lighter interiors with the aluminum and windows make you feel like you are in a bigger space and for sure Europeans have had this style for longer then NA, even in their homes. Thanks for watching.

I wish Airstreams could start putting electric stoves instead of propane. Or at least give that as an option. I don’t understand why this trailer has an oven and a convection microwave? Why not only the convection microwave and then extra storage where the stove is?🤷‍♀️ Other than that beautiful trailer. Thank you for the lovely walkthrough and honest review!!

I'm not sure if it is an option to get an electric stove or not. I don't see why not. I guess it all comes down to demand and if enough folks want it they would do it. I bet it will become more popular when big solar systems become more standard to support the extra draw. As for a convection microwave and an oven I don't know why but why is a good question. Sometimes it is cheaper to keep the upgrade then make the change out. Glad you liked the review, thanks for watching.

Does Size Matter I haven’t seen any Airstream with an induction cooktop yet. Actually I’ve seen them in mostly Class B RV’s. I guess we mind get them as an option in the future. Like you said, when solar becomes more popular or standard. I hope to see you do a review soon of the new Airstream International line and the Flying Cloud line which has a fresh new look. Can’t wait!!

hi, I am hoping to find someone that has swapped the RV mattress for a regular mattress so we can see how much space is left to walk around.

Great question. Hopefully someone here will have done that. What we would do, if you can go to a dealership, is pull the existing mattress 5" down away from the head and that would give you the answer. Personally, we think it would be tight but worth checking out. Thanks for watchingl

You do very good reviews, thank you. I think airstreams are nifty n cool, and i’ve looked inside many, however i struggle with trying to understand why their cost is just so ridiculous. Like there really is no outside storage on any of them. Where does one put their lawn chairs n folding tables? You would always have to carry them inside your $100G plus trailer and then worry about them biffing cabinet’s etc. Or in your vehicle. They truly are for the extreme minimalist rv’er and for the price tag it seems to me they are more like a social status symbol than an actual well made functional rv? I’m just really confused why people want them and are willing to pay for one. Cheers anyway 🍻

Thanks for sharing your thoughts. We hear you regarding outdoor storage. It really is smaller then most. I think folks put things like their chairs into their tow vehicle. There is something totally fun about having a special and iconic rv which no doubt is factored into the price but they do have a few other features that have to be counted too. Things like engineering and materials that provide a very light weight and efficient rv to tow. The other factor is that their resale value is higher and I think that can be attributed to all of the above reasons as well as the fact that Airstreams seem to stand the test of time and many many of the old ones are still on the road today. All that being said one still has to weigh it out when you are spending your dollars. What things are most important to you and where do your priorities lie, cause that is where a person's dollars must go. Thanks for watching.

A hack I’ve seen is an angled mirror installed in the overhead cabinet so they can see what they are reaching in there to get because, like you said, you can’t see in. (And for your theme on size - a reason I’m in a 16 foot Airstream and not a 23 is I’m plus size, quite wide, and the walking isle on the 16 foot trailer is wider.)

The mirror would for sure help me to see inside of the cabinet but reaching up and down would still be hard for us. I hadn't realized that the walking isle was that different in is size I will make sure to take a look at that next time we film Airstreams. Thanks for your thoughts and watching.

nice big storage area?!...lol I guess maybe compared to most other ASs that pretty much have...none The interior makes me feel like I'm in a hospital. ( brings back...not so good vibs) Instead of being able to enjoy a nice panoramic view while eating or lounging in the dinette area that the wrap around windows would give. ( like the Flying Cloud) This gives a real...You're in the kitchen feel...ALL THE TIME. not a fan But wait!! heres the nice panoramic view. In your bedroom??!! This is a big pet peeve of mine with AS. How many people make use of so many windows in a bed room?! Whats the point? Just more shades to draw and try and keep light out from. (not to mention heat or cold) Are you going to lay in bed and...Oh wait. I guess you'd have to swap ends with your pillows. And then lay there and look at... what...? the back of your truck?..or road or lane way...lol . I don't get it. oh I know...I'm just spouting off on personal preferences here...sorry. these are all just my opinions. Everyone has their own likes and priorities And there are AS models I do like. BUT... One common fault that ALL ASs share. And ironically its what we like about them...its what sets AS apart from the herd. But its also their Achilles heel. And that is ...they're covered entirely ( INSIDE AS WELL) with the two absolute worst building materials on earth. From an insulating perspective. Metal and glass! AS owners I talk to admit. They're badly insulated. Cold in the winter and hot in the summer! Some don't care..They're shiny...I guess. Some are disappointed. But don't like to dwell on it. Cause they're still paying for it and will be for a loooong time..lol But... to us its a deal breaker. I wouldn't even mind paying three times (or more) the price for an AS over the average same size trailer. IF!!... It was just simply way better. Every where. Every thing. Just that much better. No cons..no compromises. Every category.. it wins. But unfortunately this is certainly NOT the case with AS. There for... Id feel pretty stupid paying that much more for one. Given what Ive found. Been looking and researching them for a very long time now as RVs are kind of my hobby. ( I know...its weird) I could go on with others things like. The lack of outside storage...The same appliances everyone else uses. Best be suuuper careful walking on the roof . Smaller tanks etc. But...forget that for now. I like your channel. And appreciate your passion for and interest in RVs. Your reviews are well done. So..Here's my question. In your travels in and conversations with the RV community. You prob have some feedback on this.The insulation ( or lack of) issue. Cause its the big one for me. Id really like your guys opinion on this. Thanks...and keep the great reviews comin...:-)

Yes for sure the storage area was being compared to AS storage in general. It is not their strong point. Different people have different priorities and some folks like to wake up in their panoramic AS windows more then sit in them. To each his own that is why there are many different floor plans to choose from. I guess the same goes for the interior decor as well. Many folks are taking their darker decor rigs and painting them all white, it's just a style choice. I'm sure there is a good one out there for your style preferences. Thanks for watching.

Does Size Matter Oh ya. Like I said there are some floor plans I do like. And decors as well. I think most manufacturers give us a relatively decent selection. At least covering the basics. We don’t all like the same thing. ( thank god) lol As far as painting over paneling...big no no for me. Just ends up looking cheap. But you never mention the crux of my conversation and that’s the insulation problem what do you guys think? have you really been not hearing anything from airstream owners. Airstreams are far from perfect but I’ll tell you it’s the one thing thats really turned me off from them. We live in Canada and I have no intention of trying to follow 70° weather everywhere. Our grand design right now I feel is as well insulated as anything out there. and I’d have a hard time trading it in on something that’s not well insulated. Thanks for your response 😊👍

So sorry as I was reading your comment again I feel like I didn't get to read the entire thing the first time. I for sure have spoke to AS owner's about many of the different pros and cons but I get very little on the cons side. This is what I think about that. Airstream owners LOVE their Airstreams! Because of this what many others consider cons these folks don't consider a priority for the way they use their rigs. When I bring up issues like insulation or sticky windows they say things like 'it doesn't really bother me' or 'we work around those things'. They are willing to pay a lot for what they want and it has been working for years. Airstreams have not changed much for many many years and they still have an extremely popular product at a high price point so that tells me they don't need to change. Business is good. Markets drive companies to make changes if they need to. Airstream does not seem to need to. Having said that, in some of the groups I go to when researching I have heard of a bit of decline in workmanship lately. Airstream will need to get this under control or eventually it will hurt their reputation and affect sales and resale value. Now for us, we love Airstreams for many reasons, practicality and best bang for our buck, not being one of them. We want one because we think they are unique and cool with some great points like the materials (which may not be good for insulation) but are great for efficiency and the experience. The high resale value and the number that are still on the road today has to say something. But would we buy one? No ( well maybe if money were no object). Because we are RV Sometimers and we live in the right rig for us we know we would not last long term in an Airstream due to the storage. Did you see us in the Airstream Nest? Literally, we could have put that thing in our bedroom in the Beaver with the slides out. haha We had a fantastic time in it for a couple of weeks, but we don't live in the Beaver because we have to, we are in it because it is the best rig for us! So I just go around researching all of the rest and falling in love with each one. Kory just shakes his head and pulls me back to the Beaver. I truly wish I could have one of each. Annnnd, we love Grand Design too! They have a great product and I get why you like your's. Are you still in Canada right now?
