He raised those 4 kittens, I wish you can reunite them with the dog again, like frequent visits, or even once in a while visits, they are family to him he misses them. I am happy that you bring him other foster kittens to foster it really refreshes his spirt and make him happy again, as he is a nurturer at his core. He is a blessing he is a nurturer and cares for others, all kittens are blessed to have such good dad dog like this angel blessed dog.

It's not _"mopey,"_ it's grief. When you've loved someone, especially young ones, and formed a bond it hurts like hell when they're taken away and you know you're never gunna see them again. The dog hasn't gotten over it just cos there are new cats to love, he's just a good boy with a lot of love in his heart

What a good boy, he even seemed to instinctively know to lick the babies' rumps to stimulate their potty reflex. Young kittens have to be simulated to relieve themselves by their mothers licking them.

@@KairuHakubi yeah, although I’m not sure if male dogs actually help out much when raising litters, so if they don’t then I guess it probably is a bit more surprising that he would have this instinct as well. Although again, if most male dogs don’t actually try to help out in litters much, then I also find that interesting since wild canines (like wolves, coyotes/ jackals, foxes)seem to have the father help quite a bit

No, just keep getting him new babies to mama from the shelter. That's more important for him to love new babies and for them to have an animal parent who treats them the way their own mama would. Best all the way around, unless you find an adult kitty to keep from the shelter that's equally wanting to be like a mama too, then they can give each other a break. Sometimes they have a cat that's lactating to feed the kittens too. 😊

Yeah, that's a tough one. I mean, it's just one permanent cat but, maybe it WOULD affect how many fosters could be brought in at once. I guess, leave it up to God and/or the "Cat Distribution System." Neither one has ever failed the furbabies yet.

Chicken Liver can help with blindness. My cat was about 96% Blind, but now she can go down stairs and climb a tree when she wants to. 2x-4x a week helped my cat see much better !
