No matter how many times I have seen it, I continue to marvel at animals' instinctive ability to nurture babies, even of different species. Zuca could appear menacing to a kitten. But she presents herself as approachable and handles them with such gentleness. Beautiful to watch.

I had a nanny dog like this too. I would come in the house with a litter of bottle baby kittens and she would jump right in and start cleaning them. She even got milk sometimes! I had rescued her at 6 weeks too. She was a 6lb chihuahua mix that I had for over 16 1/2 years. The two of us fostered over 600 bottle babies together. I lost her on October 23, 2018. One of the hardest days of my life! She had heart failure and she told me it was time. I took her into the vet but she died in my arms before we gave her the shot. I think she didn't want me to have the guilt of actually putting her down. She's still with!! I've told my kids I want her to be spread with me when it my time. ❤💙💜

I used to call her baby girl. I call my girl cat that nickname and she and her cat brother take terms eating out of my late dog's bowl and a cat bowl that saw 3 previous cats. In my wallet I have a picture of my Chihuahua girl so she's always with me.

animals that in tune are not completely that way on their own of course that is their natural personality but it really takes a person who is loving and trains well to fully bring that out in an animal. I say this because I fostered many animals and I recognize this behavior but I also do not think it would be there without constant communication and understanding between the owner and the animals.
