It’s really cool that you take your clients dog, instead of having them board him. Just because you love the dog, and don’t want him to go there. That’s really cool Larry. I Learn a lot from you.

My trainer had me read Larry’s book and it was great. I have two male Rottweilers that are littermates and I needed help training them. Love your videos & your book, Larry, thank you ☺️

I would give anything to have Larry help me be a better dog trainer/owner, because I'm in way over my head with my 5 year old female GSD'S reactivity, and fear/dog aggression. I know that you can have him help you via the Internet, but I'm afraid that I'm going to need someone physically here, to help me rebuild my confidence. Neither of us are living our best life because we are in hide out mode 🥹 I know that it's never the dogs fault.

@@joda7771 I adopted her from the humane society 7 months ago, and she's just now starting to eat regularly. She still doesn't "play". She has no interest in playing tug, or fetch, and there are still times where she acts as if I'm going to hurt her. Clearly she still doesn't trust me, and doesn't think I can keep her/us safe, at the same time has extreme separation anxiety. I'm fairly certain that part, if not all of our issues is my anxiety that she will hurt someone, or another dog. Thought I was hiding it from her. Apparently not. Tried working on muzzle training, and the first time outside with it on, she plastered herself to the side of the house, laid down and looked at me with the most terrified look in her eyes that I've ever seen (knows that she can't defend herself with it on?). Haven't touched the muzzle since. Afraid I won't be strong enough to control her on walks, so we're not doing that anymore. Have had 2 incidents where she reacted out of nowhere, and almost pulled me off my feet. If she showed signs that it was coming, at least I could be prepared. There was never a bark, or any body language that would tip me off that a reaction was coming. Clearly I'm missing something. One of the incidents resulted in her picking up a small dog that was passing by with it's owner, barking and lunging at us. I didn't go into protection mode because the dog was leashed, so she stepped up. Again, showed no indication that it was going to happen, which caught me off balance and allowed her to reach the dog. Extremely lucky that she didn't kill the dog. She just stood there with it in her mouth. All I could think of was to punch her in the ribs in an attempt to get her to release it, which she did, and then just stood there. All of this is why I need someone physically here to work with me. My confidence is shot, and my anxiety is out of control. Unfortunately I'm not the kind of person to just return a dog. I can't put her through that kind of trauma again (she didn't want to leave the shelter). Dogs are not disposable in my book At the same time, I'm clearly not the right person to handle this DIY, with coaching. I'm hoping that the trainer that lives near me (works from their home), can help me. Now I just need to stop procrastinating, and meet with him. I think I keep putting it off because I'm afraid he'll tell me what I'm afraid to hear..."you need to re-home her"
