Personally I think our content creator is back because the airline got tired of him doing sudden combat manuvers. One guys opinion.

Yep I use Tacview. Unfortunately due to some people cheating in the community most MP servers have disabled Tacview, which kind of gets in the way of me making new Dogfighting Debriefs.

Cheers Ysko, I did have an extra 6 or 7 nice sorties planned but I just pared it down to these selective sequences that would be still be nice to see even with the new modeling. It just means I get to try and fly more MP so I can get more footage :-)

Thank you for all the videos! I've recently gotten back into flight sims. I noticed your BFM #3 has gone missing. Wasn't sure if it was intentional or something happened with KZbin?

I have viewed many hours of your vids over the past 2+ years...Kinda sad due to I have never been fortunate enough to "run" IL-2 or DCS. I was hoping GeForce Now or Shadow tech would have allowed me the ability to become active in Flight Sims but it seems USB peripherals such as HOTAS, Pedals, Track-IR, etc are hit and miss if accessing with a Mac...I do have older PCs with Windows XP and Vista so perhaps could upgrade to Windows 10 but would assume since none of the components are 60bit vs being 32bit would be more miss than hit as it seems to be with Macs according to the info I have researched. Regardless, wanted to compliment yet another enjoyable & informative video. I am hesitant to ask the following due to it being a personal question...I understand and respect if you decide not to answer but curiosity sparked the question (the question is in the paragraph below). My understanding is you are much more than a flight simmer, tutorial content creator but in addition, you have been a pilot for many years...multiple ratings including commercial and CFI. Regardless, it is apparent you love to fly and seems flying is your chosen profession as well. Many years ago, I desired and believed my life's path after high school would lead me into Naval Aviation...I have wanted to fly for as long as I can remember...having relatives in the military (US) as aviators (no fixed-wing pilots; all Helicopters)- growing up around airbases as a kid I knew what I wanted to do...but when the time came to start that journey I learned the path was blocked for what I desired at the time...and if could not have an opportunity to earn my wings as a fighter pilot I decided not to be part of the aviation component at all...the thing which blocked the path for me was my height, 6'3"... I was guaranteed an opportunity to fly other aircraft and went as far as completing all the paperwork, etc until reached section where I could list my top 3 aviation desires/wish list/options...I stopped at that point, tore up the documents and did not go down that path...However, Once I graduated from college I did begin flight training to obtain my General Aviation or Private Pilot License which earned first rating ~30yrs ago...back then, the Airspace in the US was designated differently...VORs were still utilized due to there were no GPS devices approved for private or commercial at that time...Real flying...This was in the mid 80s. Anyway, I realize no one gives a rats arse about my reminiscing but I mention it bc of my curiosity as it relates to you. Specifically, with your obvious love of flying and with flying seemingly being your profession...just curious if you were an aviator in the military at some point or did you ever consider being an aviator in the military? Either way, with your experience, skillset, knowledge - If you were required or allowed to choose an aircraft to fly in the military what would it be??? Cargo, Transport, Recon, fighters--Stealth such as F-22, F-35 or carrier-based aircraft such as F-18 Hornet or land-based such as A10s, etc...Again, too much time on my hands I guess and was just curious what a professional pilot who may not have flown such aircraft chose if they could?
@RequiemsACTL
@RequiemsACTL 4 жыл бұрын
Hey Oscar Mike, Thanks for your thoughtful post, that was great to read. As an Australian I grew up seeing F/A-18s most of the time so I've always wanted to fly a fighter like the Hornet, but that path never worked out for me so I ended up joining the Royal Australian Air Force in another position. I gave up on becoming a pilot altogether and it was only by a fortunate set of circumstances that helped me become a pilot in the USA after I moved there. So I'm very lucky to be able to do this as a profession and this channel is one way I can continue paying it forward.

Not sure what he uses, but I would guess it's a head-tracking solution like TrackIR or DELANCLiP. I have a DELANCLiP and I'd highly recommend it, they're pretty cheap (even more so if you build the IR camera yourself) and very immersive.
