Deborah is right, if this was the main meal, there is a massive scope for this product. This is a growing market, the guy just graduated and the Dragons actually didn't get it. People are ethical, and with the right demo, this could take off For me the weakness actually isn't there isn't sales, as he has focused on the product and getting it right. To me, the weakness is the company nam Bug Bites, that is the deter. Need to rebrand and go hard with social media marketing, which would be cheap and effective. Boom, I'm a marketing guy, I know this sh**!

I worked for a dog and cat food company that made food for some big companies, and the food is made with what the humans don't eat of cows, fish (in most of the cases is only oil), lamb, etc and then some vegetables, cereals etc.

What does she mean it’s not their job to establish if they have a business or not? Of course you would do that before investing.

I live in Thailand and regularly eat insects. They are very tasty and nutritious. Once you 'cross the Rubicon' so to speak, you never look back. It is a fairly untapped market but the concept of insect based pates and pastes and other formulations will become much more popular in years to come.

Just one little complaint about this program. They dont never ever make it clear, that about 50% of the so called deals fall through in the end. After due dilligence and such. So the so called deal has about a 50% chance of coming through in the end. I used to think deal was deal, well it isnt. And it has gotten a BIT old it seems like rerun at times.

They obviously can't make all their decisions whilst standing and talking. Investments of this kind of money are serious. After the show, they have to sit down on a table and go through all the paperwork and make sure everything checks out. This can take hours and hours and days even, which can't all be done in the couple of hours they film on the show. All the claims the entrepreneur made have to be verified to be true on paper, with proof. You can't just invest based on trust and words. And then of course they have the right to change their minds before that final piece of paper is signed by both parties. The show is more like having the intent to invest.

Given that both parties are able to change their minds after the event if there's a "deal" on the show, I don't really understand why any entrepreneur turns down such a deal (unless it's in favour of another Dragon's deal). If you say yes, you can still say no afterwards, whereas if you say no, then that's it. So surely logic dictates that they should always say yes on the show, unless maybe they don't want to get a reputation for going back on their word?
