Knowing Keanu's reputation, it wouldn't be surprising to me that he made it a point out of the gate that the band itself be the focus. At the end of he day, he is just a guy that enjoys playing music with his friends and band, and he likes it that way. Looking forward to hearing more from this band, really enjoyed the composition and sound here.

Just met Keanu and the rest of the band at The Capitol Theater here in NY. Keanu is probably the only celebrity I've met where i didn't feel "star struck" for some reason. He just had this really chill attitude about him. After he signed my laminate we had a short convo, I shook his hand and took a pic with the band. Great show! Excited to see them again at the Brooklyn show in December!

They make a hell of a trio. Bret's vocals and guitar playing is beyond simply solid. Keanu is definitely a beast on the bass. The addition of his star power bringing attention is a sweet perk too. Robert though has some serious cardio on those drums. And he was doing back-up vocals here too. So you can't discount the level of energy that takes. All in all, a solid band, and this is definitely a banger of a track.

I still remember people in the 1990s thinking Keanu playing in a bad was a joke and clowned him for it. They thought no way that band will amount to anything and said he should just keep to acting. It was like the classic case of a movie star thinking he was a rock star. Well, those takes didn't age very well. Like you said, both the band and Keanu have weathered some pretty incredible times and have come out on the other end still kicking ass and taking names.

Dude Metallica didn't really find success until their Black album and even then most of their early albums barely sold more than 1 million albums with ZERO singles charting before that. So in your mind Metallica would've been a total failure before 1990's Black album? How stupid does that sound? I got a copy of Dogstar's Quatro EP and thought it was pretty good. I also have a copy of their Happy Endings album that was very alt rockish like most of the music in the late 90's, early aughts. They broke up in 2002 and then recently reunited and started performing again - something you rarely see with any band, let alone one who hasn't performed for 20+ years since they broke up.

In the 90s and 2000s, they were mainly opener for famous acts like Bon Jovi or David Bowie. I didn't know about their band back then cause I never had Internet and I'm from Germany. But if I knew them I'd have even visited a Bon Jovi concert to see Dogstar play. 😂

Three of my daughters will be at the Nova Rock concert, tomorrow, to see DogStar. They had no idea Keanu played in a band or were going to perform there until, their 72 year old dad told them, lol. They hand out flyers and receive four day free passes, so they will be there the entire time, but only excited about seeing Dogstar, now that they know! Heck, you all could sleep for free by our place, since this old Veteran lives in Austria, about 40 minutes away, in Eisenstadt. Actually, only have one twin bed free, my wife is in a wheelchair and has a hospital bed, and I have my bed, but the couch folds out, lol! My wife has no idea who Keanu or DogStar are, lol, she is 76 and we don't have the same taste in movies, but still made it to 51 years of marriage. Our 51st Anniversary is June 16, 2024! Hey DogStar, come help us celebrate! Got 12 grandkids that would become fans real quick, lol! God Bless!

A much admired and loved man who makes his mark in Rock with his bass and with the great success of his band DogStar's tour which is the answer to the great talent of each member of the band, Bred DomRose vocalist enchants with his sweet voice and his beautiful chords on the guitar, Rob Mailhouse amazing drummer, and Keanu Reeves doing his traditional Breathtaking. We cannot deny that the presence of Keanu Reeves attracts his faithful fans and it makes a lot of difference for the band's marketing, after all seeing a great actor who became a legend with John Wick, BabaYaga, Neo from Matrix, Johnny Utah from Point Break, among so many other characters that have marked our minds and hearts. I love the title for this album, as a guy who used to trim trees, mostly palm trees. I’ve been caught between powerlines and palm trees before. Sometimes they sizzle on the palm fronds . When it’s wet. But you go for it. I only got shocked once. Maybe twice.
