I agree, owner is the main culprit. Breed dogs are dangerous than street dogs they need more training but some people adopt these dogs and don't train them as they should be.so government banned dogs instead of giving strictness to owner. But, just think it is not possible to keep track what owner is doing , it is very difficult. Foreigners know how to train and keep their dogs, India don't simple as that. So government banned dogs because most of the people are not capable of training them as they should be.

It is very rubbish idea to ban all breeds, the casualties by pet dogs is very rare than casualties by stray dogs, Government is just SHOWING that it is vigilant on this issue and skipping from the main problem of stray dogs

Government & Municipal rules are extremely rigid & wrong, imposing rules for control population growth of stray street dogs needs to be taken up on a war footing first by government & local municipalities. Then sit with a committee of veterinary doctors, private breeders, veterinary hospital owners - animal medical pharma manufacturing companies & pet owners & lovers along with PETA to make some analysis. How many deaths ratio to the Indian population, could be 0.0000002% cases of the population. Very poor decision of administration. No way correct. Are you serious. Please study the reson dogs like the Pitties, and Dogos were created. Dogs which were created for the sole purpose of killing other dogs or animals should be absolutely banned. No matter of socialization can ensure their original set of genes to be rekindled, which even if it happens once in a decade can prove fatal as these dogs have a very high pain threshold and will not let go of their bite even if you break their bones.

⁠completely depends upon the upbringing of the dog I agree with u but thats the nature of the breed but in reality if u socialize them from early stage then no dog is dangerous I have seen pitbull,gsd,and one rottweiler they are very gentle and adorable because they have been socialised…..in the other hand i have also seen labrador, spitz and some indian dog breed they are very aggressive in nature but the fact is that aggression is not the nature of these types of breed I’m not saying all dogs of the breed that i have mentioned above but some What do you have to say about it It’s completely depends upon the pet parents and they should be responsible while having a pet whether the breed nature is aggressive or not they have handle and socialise them It not the breed’s fault its the fault of the owner

Because of new guidelines and rules so many puppies are left by their owners. We got a five days puppy on road. It's a rottweiller. We are taking care of it and now it is 15 days old. It's really very painful and heartbreaking to see such kids surviving without mother😞

This is the harsh reality Badal ji. Each and every law is enforced for the misdoing of handful number of people. I'll give you a simple example. Gir forest has banned carrying of any plastic container during safari. Not even bottle. Abhi yeh niyam kuch logon k wajah se hi hua hai. Forest mein paani piya, bottle phnek Diya. Chips khake wrapper phnek diya. Saab log nahi karte hai yeh saab. Lekin bhugatna saab ko padta hai

I'm a Rottweiler owner, I didn't faced any problems and he didn't bitten any one, it doesn't mean he's silent, he knows when to be aggressive when to be silent, here the point is ROTTWEILER IS NOT FOR EVERYONE( Guard dog is not for everyone particularly Rottweiler), Rottweiler are a very good companions if you treat and train them properly, ROTTWEILER IS ONLY FOR EXPERIENCED Pet parent, A BIG NOOOO TO FIRST TIME OWNERS, NO MEANS NO, I RAISED DOBERMAN, ROTTWEILER IS NOT MY FIRST DOG, If this is going to implement we will lost a very good guard dog. Every dog breed can be trained, it depends on the owner and the trainer that how well behaved a dog would be. But in india adopting a dog is very easy and the process is not regulated. Not everyone is eligible to own breeds like Pitbull terriers and Rotties. But that screening process takes a lot of resources and our government don't have that much money to spend on that screening process. Every developed country has some SOPs through which a potential dog owner has to go through. We don't have that here. Untill we can develop that, untill we can invest money on that, this ban can work as a temporary solution. Its good for all the stakeholders including the dogs themselves.

I have seen many dog owners roaming freely with Rottweilers, Pit bulls, in public places without any leash and muzzle which is completely unjustified. Just dog love is not enough, responsibility is required and I have hardly seen such responsible behaviour in Indian dog owners. All they want is to show off and this attitude has done a great impact. Many countries have banned many such breeds for many reasons, we ourselves are to be blamed for being careless dog owners!
