Hey everyone! In today's video I thought I'd show you how I do my makeup with Tourettes. It can definitely be a challenge, and for a lot of the time I suppress, but I try my best to get a somewhat decent finished product even thought Tourette's makes makeup a lot harder.
As a girl with Tourette's, I would love to spread awareness and education about my disorder, as I feel it is quite misunderstood in today's society. The media has made it out to be a swearing disorder only, which is far from true. I hope this video will educate you on Tourette Syndrome and tic disorders! Life with Tourettes can be difficult, but just know that we're the same as everyone else...except for the fact we tic like clocks! (:
Thanks for watching!

I literally can not do eyeliner without tics so I can’t imagine how hard it is to do with them.

As someone who is also obsessed with sparkle and glitter and often uses shadows with lots of fall out, if you do your eye makeup first, you can clean up the fall out and the mascara before putting on any face makeup and not need to reapply concealer to cover anything up and avoid adding another layer. Honestly makes makeup so much easier and you don’t have to stress about the mess. But honestly, even as someone who IS obsessed with makeup, your end result looks really nice and I genuinely think you did a fantastic job 💖

Your makeup looks great Carly! I was so nervous when you were putting the mascara and eyeliner on- didn't want you to poke your eyes. Good on you for getting eyeliner on- I've never been able to use eyeliner without ending up looking like a raccoon. Have a great day - sending lotsa love! 💛

Same here girl, I kinda just do my own thing when it comes to make up…… No one ever showed or taught me how to do it. I grew up when there was no such thing as google or smartphones. So I never got to watch tutorials or anything of that nature!!!! It doesn’t really bother me though because when I do make up its extremely minimalistic! I think I look good with just enough to pump up my natural beauty, if you will…….

i love your videos and i just wanted to say that you actually aced this. your eyeshadow is pretty on point and you look stunning in it!! i know im a bit late and people already said a lot of the things i'll say here but i figured i might as well say it. here are some tips that you might find helpful!! - do your eyes first, so you wont have to re do your base because of the fall off. - don't drag the beauty blender across your face, dab it instead! it helps both with blending and making the process a bit less painful. - for the eyeliner, you might find easier to make a blurrier line with a thin brush and brown/black or just a dark eyeshadow, as that makes so you dont need to be as precise with your lines. that's basically it, tysm for making these amazing videos! your voice is really calming, love you

So pretty!! I love the golds 😍 you actually have some really nice techniques! Covering up the fallout with concealer is perfect! Eyeliner and mascara are easier to get off when they dry, so if you just leave it for it bit it comes off easier. Also you might think about trying an eyeliner stamp for your wings, although they looked gorgeous it just might be less stressful with less precise lines to have to draw. Loved your look and this video 💜♥️🤍

Something you might like to try would be using a thin angled brush and dark eye shadow as a liner instead. It's a bit more forgiving when it comes to mistakes and less pointy. It also doesn't burn like liquid liner if you do happen to get yourself in the eye. You have great skin so basically you could get away with anything and still look good. Even with the tics you still did an excellent job working around it. Thank you for sharing with everyone.

I agree I think that might be easier overall!! Even just putting some eyeliner by the base of the eyelashes and then “smoking”it out to a little wing ~

You are beautiful! None of us are professional at putting on makeup so don’t worry. I do not have Tourettes but I also get my eye makeup under my eye. I have switched to doing my eyes first, cleanup with a wipe and then my foundation and under eye concealer. Just a thought! I came across you channel by complete chance and I think you are amazing for making these educational videos. 😊

I can absolutely tell you put makeup on, it looks very shimmery and pretty. And I would never judge you considering I never use makeup at all. I do also have a tremor in my hands occasionally and while it doesn't matter for makeup since I don't wear any it makes painting very much a pain.

I like to keep a make-up remover wipe handy when I'm applying my make-up. You did so well with the eye-liner, I have pretty steady hands and I still hate doing eye-liner. My favourite thing to do is to get a small angled brush and use it to define my lash line with a dark coloured eye shadow, it looks really good and it's much more forgiving than liquid liner.

Your makeup is beautiful!!! 😍 I thought you’re a pro when i saw your makeup in your other videos! I do have a tip for you, use micellar water all-in-1 by Garnier with the micellar cleaning eco pads (also by Garnier). I use it to clean off my mistakes. I have the same eyeliner as you and it even takes that off 😊 I have sensitive skin and it never irritates it 😊 You’re such a strong woman and i’m happy to see you got merch! Hopefully when i can afford it I can buy something

I judged all the way through… then I remembered I know naff all about make-up. In fact this is the first make up video I’ve purposely watched. No one has the right to criticise or judge, no one can tell you how you should do you. I will be honest, even as a grumpy old man I have wondered at times you manage it, especially when you’re going through a particularly bad phase. Stop putting yourself down, you are truly amazing.

There's a microfiber makeup removing cloth that will help get all the makeup off when you have a tick that forces you to apply makeup to your neck. I had to start using it after I got eczema because cotton and wipes are too rough. You just wet it and wipe! Then you can throw it in a washer or hand wash. It's not super accurate (because it's like a washcloth) so it isn't best for eye fixes but it's cheap at Walmart :)

Honestly, I wasn't judging at all while watching this video. After seeing numerous TS faker Tik Tok vids it's really refreshing to see someone who is legit and shows real struggles of having something that is faked so much for clout. I am not a licensed psychologist, therapist, or doctor but I was diagnosed with Dissociative Identity Disorder which is also HEAVILY faked on Tik Tok. The 'doing my makeup with D.I.D.' are SO CRINGE cause the faker shows it as constantly switching out while doing makeup. They add these 'switches' for effect to get clout. I do my makeup like anyone else would and manage to stay myself without switching. I saw a video you did about how upset you were that people were taking TS. I can understand how upset you'd be upset. I get really upset with people who fake D.I.D., something that severely disrupted my life and stole my childhood. I would strongly recommend using an eyelid PRIMER to help the shadow stay on the lids~!

I’m not coming for you (or judging you) … but I am just giving my (unsolicited lol) advice. You are 24 now. You really should think about moisturizer and sunscreen if nothing else. Moisturizer (even if you are oily), eye cream and sunscreen are the BIG THREE that every woman needs. In 5-10yrs you will wish you had started earlier (especially sunscreen!) … And you REALLY NEED some eye makeup remover!! (No brainer lol) Just wondering… why not put the concealer on your eyelid first (before all the shadow)?

Putting the concealer down might make the sparkles stick better and/or be more sparkly!! Sometimes I would wet my makeup brush with the sparkly shade on it and it would be extra shiny. But I assume sticking the powder to a wet base would do the same.
