Ppl may hate on Tsukki and dismiss what he is saying becos of his antagonistic personality but you cannot deny that what Tsukki is giving you hard facts that NORMAL-non-anime-MCs face in reality. My coach gave me the cold hard facts which I appreciated, “As the match draws out, you as a shorter player will run out of stamina/speed to do all the jumps and lunges sooner or later, but your opponent won’t run out of height/arm length. So you have to train and work harder than everyone else.” I rather be realistic than have all the baseless confidence and delusion that things will go my way as long as I have the passion. 👍🏻

Yeah you’re right! Tsukki being real with everyone is something we do love watching. We’re rooting for our boy rn but we can definitely see Tsukki’s words helping him grow further as a player!

The reason they said the quick attack was impossible is because Kageyama and Hinata are so new to playing with each other. Quick attacks are a staple of an established team's repertoire- Suga can set a quick attack too- but they take time to establish and require a great deal of trust between the setter and spiker. What makes Hinata and Kageyama's quick so unusual, then, is its sheer speed and the fact that Kageyama and Hinata are so new to playing side by side and therefore how Hinata trusts Kageyama 100% to bring the ball to him.

in case no one mentioned this if you think about it the captain ( daichi ) is like the dad of the team and 3rd year setter ( suga ) is the mom their behavior and interactions with other team members are like as if they are literally taking care of their kids 😅

I love your reactions!! This episode is so important, Kageyama and Hinata's first time quick attack, Kageyama admitting his worst nightmare where everyone reject his tosses, that no one is there and Hinata jumped and say "Kageyama! I'm here!!" If you guys will watch all 4 seasons please always remember this episode, this is the start of the boys journey as a team!

I'm im my self betterment and character development phase and this anime showcases both of them with so much emotion and beautiful characters hence why its one of my favs which motivates to work even harder and the love these guys have for volleyball is unmatchable I used to play volleyball in school I was a wing spiker and team captain as well We once came runner ups in a district level tournament and it was the best feeling to defeat the hosting school in semi's where they had a cheering squad like shirarorizawa or miyans and the best part was after the defeat they all went silent

Yo I’m actually getting ready right now to watch the new Haikyuu film at the cinema but i watched your reaction first 😂 I also see the parallels between Naruto and Hinata (lol funny how Naruto’s love interest is Hinata too). He’s got all that underdog main character vibe in him and I’m all for it. I can’t wait for you to meet all the characters in the show!

First, I'm really enjoying your reaction. It's quite nice to rewatch it with you two. Don't take this as a critic, but Hinata and Kageyama are NOT Naruto and Sasuke. Not at all! Only in a surface level they might resemble Naruto and Sasuke, but they have little to do with that whole mess. Trust me, give them a chance, and you'll see they are their own characters and they have nothing to do with that. In fact, they are a subversion of the Naruto-Sasuke trope in many ways. Also, this is not an anime about good guys versus bad guys... they are all high schoolers and they are all awesome! I know Tsukishima is introduced as an antagonist, but loose any Manichaean approach and give them all some time. You'll fall in love with every single character.

When we said they were like Naruto and Sasuke, we were referring to the typical trope which reminded us of them (although Kageyama is better than Sasuke for us lol 🫢) You’re right though - now that we’re farther along in the show, we can say we’re loving all the characters already, even some of the opponents!

​@@SxSReacts Glad to know that! And sorry, I get a little passioned about Haikyuu... I live in Yamagata, Japan. Sendai, the Haikyuu province is justa 1h30 away. I work with elementary and middle schoolers. They LOVE Haikyuu. And though my favorite characters are Hinata, Tanaka and Nishinoya, my students are definitely bigger fans of their opponents. Specially Nekoma High (Kenma and Kuro) and Inarizaki High (brothers Miya). Anyway, I'll try to behave and keep enjoying your reaction videos.
