Yes, I agree it is difficult to understand new concepts. However, with understanding comes the great wisdom he is trying to give us. A free gift of an elusive swing feel that may actually improve your game... if you give it a chance. May take more than 1 view of the video to understand, but it is worth it. Already improving my game after watching the same video 3 times and practicing indoors before taking it to the course.

Pure Gold Stuart Lots of Pros talk about the path, but only that of the club head. I’m guilty of going inside out with high hands and my miss is generally a big block. Also with irons just paying close attention to your divots you will see evidence of this, when the shaft has stood up and the toe has gone in deeper. Really do love this and how you explain it, no one talks about the handle which ultimately impacts on what the club head will do.

Timely video, thanks for this Stu. I saw your short of “is this it?” Where you showed the “feel” of what is happening in the down swing and I realized that I wasn’t getting down enough with my swing. I pushed down, but I think I was standing to high. I’d flush the ball, but my aoa was not good. I have a Mevo plus and took it to the range yesterday…I’m happy to report that after I got the hands down lower, my aoa was much much better. I think many golfers don’t quite understand how low the hands need to get to the ground in the swing..the pressure down isn’t just with the arms and hands, it takes the legs and hands and the entire body to get the shaft and angle correct to hit down on the ball. My exaggerated feel felt like I was going to drag my hands on the ground…but in reality, it just shallowed my swing enough to be able to hit down on the ball through impact. Amazing stuff, thanks Stu!

This was a brilliant explanation of why I have been shanking the ball so much in recent years. My path has become so much in to out with the high handle doing exactly as you described. I’ve been concentrating on getting the club to exit left with not much success. Can’t wait to give this a try. Keep up the great content.

Great explanation! This makes so much sense! My old swing was exactly what you describe with all of the "early extension" issues caused by the handle moving low to high. The high to low feeling allows for much more rotation of the body and when you get it right it feels very powerful. Making this swing transition creates very different sensations during the swing. I feel like my upper body should stay "covering" the ball on the backswing and the through swing and that coming through the hitting zone my right shoulder moves out toward the ball as the left hip moves back to create the room necessary for the hands to exit low and left. Do I have it right?

That is absolutely Good Coaching 👏. Can having the wrong clubs cause the to down and handle up? Personally, I definitely feel the toe down turning over the majority of the time but what comes first in a bad swing, the managing of the handle resulting in toe down or the early extension? Keep it up Coach

Hey Doug, as mentioned in the video, early extension is the e symptom. 😊

thank you for the video. i am wondering about the cupped left wrist at impact, why the pros all have a bow left wrist at impact.

Hey Ben, when you have a handle that’s so light, and a head so heavy it’s impossible to not make the lead wrist flat, doesn’t mean they are trying to make it flat. Hope that helps! 😊

@@GoodGolfCoaching Hi Mate, been watching this and the rotation videos, many times getting a little frustrated on the course not the driving range DR it goes well. I have the strong left grip I have the grip pressure, I am getting the left leg long to pull the right shoulder down, but for some reason I get this dumping of the club into the ground as you demo at 5:34 in this video, (Oh I am short so I am already to close to the ground LOL). I guess a fat but it seems like I doing something that makes me think I have to do that to hit the ball. I know you have to really see my swing because it could many things and you will when I am over. But is their a couple of things I can be mindful of in the short term. I watched the fat shot video but it seems mine is more like your demo in this video my wrist takes off. love your work my friend.

Please correct me if I have misunderstood so what you are saying is there is no down cock of the left wrist into impact, your maintaining downward pressure on the handle while keeping the club head up and rotating it around your body? So the left wrist does not extend into the ball in a downward motion? Thanks in advance
@GoodGolfCoaching3 ай бұрын
Hey Mark - there absolutely is unload down, you won’t be able to stop it; all I’m advising is as golfers we must not be so submissive of this force.
@marktizard72733 ай бұрын
@@GoodGolfCoaching if that is the case then at what time do the left wrist extend, at the ball ?or after impact? because your ball elevated drill at no time does your left wrist extend at ball impact and beyond? Hands low club elevated to enable hitting the ball at waist high.
@GoodGolfCoaching3 ай бұрын
Mark, have you done the drill? Have you applied feels to the ball? I would do this first, it’s not an exact science my friend.
@marktizard72733 ай бұрын
@@GoodGolfCoaching yes I have done the drill and at the ball, but to keep the same angle at impact you can’t straighten your left wrist because you would dump the club, that’s why I’m asking when do you extend the left wrist? 👍
@GoodGolfCoaching3 ай бұрын
As I say, not an exact science and there is no chance any player in the world can stop their wrists from unloading down. So, manage the angles; measure AoA, Dynamic Loft, curvature and much more to know how much is enough or too much. Hope that helps.

Also, I just wanted to suggest a video, which I don't think you have done. If you think it unneccessary or not beneficial, then please ignore this. You often talk about the 'pull' and 'swing' phases either in isolation or as part of the whole swing. I would be intereseted to know how best to think of the transition between these two phases; how to conceptualise and feel it. For example, whether (ideally given a good grip thus, looser grip pressure) the swing phase happens fairly passively as a result of the pulling force, or instead should be a conscious effort. I imagine this probably depends on the player/their ballflight/club weight/ soundness of preceding motions etc. In short, some nuance around this area between pulll and swing phases (maybe in relation to other aspects) would be very interesting and educational.
@GoodGolfCoaching3 ай бұрын
Hi Chris - pull phase and swing phase I have explained and demonstrated on many occasions and explained exactly what you’re referencing. The pull and swing is only one element like all the factors of the swing. Depends whether your pull and swing is on the correct pitch, your legs are fired up, face is good; handle track good, so so so many variables. Hope that’s helps.

Playing almost other sports. No problem and picked up quite fast. Athleticism and good body flexibility. Picked up golf 10 years ago but am still struggling to make it consistent. Perfect posture, distance, swing, and square off club face, putting and etc. Officially, this is the hardest sport in the world. No question about it. That's why we want physics tutoring. If anyone can adopt the simple way and pick up from imitation right away, he is from a different planet.
