if the green house supplier sells the doors individually, i have now swapped my inside doors on to the out side of the frame and added two new doors on the inside, but they are covered with fine mesh fabric to reduce the access for insects, but allows a breeze into the green house... working good so far... i also covered the vents with fabric too...

You might want to help your squash along by playing the bee. You can use a makeup brush or q-tip to distribute pollen from the male flowers to the female fruit bearing flowers. Especially since the greenhouse doors are closed quite a bit and with the rain.

I’m really impressed how well everything is growing for you, and the goats are truly making a racket today. I wish my garden would do better here in NM, but between no rain to speak of, and the city water i just don’t know which is worse. Working in the hospital 5 days per week keeps me even busier but it is what it is that’s for sure.

Al, @ 10:46 you say the plant has a whole 'Nother plant growing on it. I cut those off and root them in water to make new plants. I take about a week then I put them in a pot to form more roots for another week. if you use only the ones as thick as your pinky they quickly catch up to you other plants and will keep producing well into late fall/winter if you keep them warm. I had one I potted and brought inside, then took it outside the next spring. (some people plant the rooted plant right in the ground, but I have not had success with that)

We use to put a bowling ball in our hog confinement pens when we used to get tail biting that's one reason you want to keep tails short but with 2 pigs you shouldn't have any problems. The bowling ball distracted them from biting tails and once they taste blood lookout, alot of times when we had tail biters we would put them out on dirt so they would quit. Al wouldn't be good to breed Willow and Buttercup now so you have babies before winter also I can't believe how much milk you get out of Buttercup while she's nursing 3 babies or does she produce that much milk? After Gina milks Willow and Buttercup and takes the milk to the house do you run it through a seperator or something you never really have shown anything ?

That is what we do; as we don't use chemicals on our garden either. 2 July 20 we are having problems with Japanese beetles and I keep going out and pick them off and put them in soapy water. I don't kill them as they put pheromones and it draws more in. Al where did you get you shears to cut your plants? I have not grown tomatoes for some years, but I was told it was best to check them daily and nip out any side shoots before they grew more than about an inch to avoid plant energy being lost. One year I was making chutney on an almost industrial scale to use the green, end of season remains. Getting enough containers for the unexpected bounty was a battle that year.
