Hi guys, I don't know if this would work for you for the squash bugs but in my much smaller raised bed I had a horrific infestation several years ago and in desperation I got out the wet/dry vac. 20 minutes later I had several inches of bugs in the drum and not a single one left in the garden. I was incredibly surprised to not see another squash bug for the rest of the season. Crazy? Maybe. But it worked for me. Nice job on the sign! Take care, be well and all the best from California 💛

You can trim onion greens, just like you trim beet greens. Next time you're in the garden take a taste. You'll be surprised. Great in salads. 💜🌞🌵
@betpatpatten38404 жыл бұрын
Years ago I was taught when onions got that all just taking bend them over to the ground and sort of break the stem but don’t break it off. That will force the onions to go larger route bulbs which is what we want for onions. Don’t know if it’s an excepted gardening technique but it sure seem to work.
@christinedehn32574 жыл бұрын
Many years ago I had read to "pat them over with a broom when the tips start to brown". I think it encourages them all to ripen at the same time. While the bulbs are forming they need to make all the food they can. Don't try to push them too early.

For the part that connects the drip tape to the main line, Hoss makes a connector that has a ball valve so you can shut off some rows and water only what you want. Tomatoes don't need water as often as peppers and others so I shut the valves on the tomatoes about every other time I water. I find this works much better than the regular connector they provide.

Al, they make the spigots (that get plugged into the main drip hose) with valves that turn on/off, so you can water your rows selectively if you'd like. Granted for one row it was a whole lot faster just watering by the hose, but in the future it may be advantageous to use that type if you have plants with varying water requirements. Garden is looking FAB!
