I view that proverbs 31 woman as the bride of Christ herself, getting up early in the morning providing food for her household( early prayer, reading of the word) all in her house are clothed in scarlet ( the blood of Jesus) the heart of her husband (Christ ) safely trusts in her, she sells linen in the market places( evangelism, witnessing , going after the loss) I see it more from a spiritual perspective. Not saying a woman can’t aspire to be this , I believe like she said we are different things according to the season of life , so don’t feel bad if it’s not who you are all around, we as women have different calls , backgrounds, and strengths. 🙏🏽😁 anywho be blessed

I think Proverbs 31 should be a bigger conversation in circles of men…even moreso mother’s speaking to their sons and even women speaking at men’s meetings, because Proverbs 31 was written by a mother to her son. We just have a cheat code ☺️

I love the Proverbs 31 woman and have tried to follow that example my whole adult life and continue even though I am alone. it is only just in the last year that I actually studied this verse. You really need to go to the beginning of Proverbs 31 to understand it completely. It talks about King Lemuel and his mother's instruction to him. First of all, there is really no record of a King Lemuel. The word Lemuel means: Man of God" It is believed that the king is actually King Solomon, and this is his mother Beshea giving him instruction and King Lemuel is his nickname for her son meaning he is a "Man of God". she is explaining to him how important it is he chooses the right woman wisely or he could be ruined. I used to feel unworthy as I felt I could not be this virtuous of a woman, especially in the failed relationship I had in divorce. What I realized when I studied Proverbs 31:10 the woman part cannot start without the first parts of Proverbs 31, It starts with King Lemuel, a "Man of God." I kept picking men who were maybe not a "Man of God", and Proverbs 31 can never work without a King Lemuel. You have to choose a mate that is a "Man of God" It really is a guide for women, but too many women think they can change a man. We must be obedient to the Lord and stay away from the unequally yoked. However, his mother was telling him he also cannot just pick any woman, it must be a virtuous woman, a woman of God, one of high moral character. There is so much more to this, but it starts with two people who need to be equally yoked in the Lord.

You are on the right path! Big question for you, if this is Bathsheba speaking over Solomon, (big if! but also very probable) do you think she is describing and Solomon is later recording a type of ideal woman, or an actual ideal woman? For instance, there is a woman described in scripture that closely fits the description in Prov 31. Hint: In the Masoretic text her book immediately follows Proverbs 31. She also has a special relationship to Solomon, and is the only other woman in scripture described as "Eishet Chayil" translated as woman of noble character but more accurately as a woman of valor... happy studying!

23 years married and Tony and I have had our roles change based on the various seasons we were in. Now I travel more for work than he does and we have had to figure out what works for us. For ex: He does mornings with the kids, I do evenings. He shops and I cook or order👀. I clean and hire maid service to support, He washes clothes, I fold. Like we have a system that works. So I absolutely love Pastor Tab’s comment about how this could look different for every woman but at the core she’s a woman handling her business!

I’m a young woman who strives to be like proverbs 31 woman! I was recently saved and this kind of content is so helpful for me. I love how Tabatha was trying to make it more realistic with the modern day culture and Ken kind of brought it back to the more traditional view. I don’t know how to cook but I’m learning! My favorite part of this podcast was when Ken started complaining about the milk 😂 The way Tabatha ultimately submitted to her husband and apologized for not providing or fulfilling her role, that was so powerful!!! I would love more content on this passage or a video on how to be a biblical wife and submit to your husband. 🤍

Love hearing your perspective on this. You say it was powerful to see that she ultimately submitted to him for not having milk a few days..I don’t know why but it makes me so angry instead! She takes care of the whole house (including outdoors) but he complains if they ran out of milk for 3 days. Uhm what stops him from getting milk for once? How can everything be on her shoulders? It’s so unfair 😢

Love this video thank you. Just thrown off on the 4-5 days without milk, he can’t go get milk? Can he not meet her in an area as simple as going to the store and getting the milk? Yet she’s so classy still apologizes and also works like he does. I work a full shift day, provide for everyone in all aspects and would still be expected to do everything? No he can help and get some milk instead of say it’s going on a week.. love the rest of the video, love their patience with each other and gems dropped thank you for the video 🫶🏼

I am a single woman of God and I have always had that want in my heart to have the qualities of a Prov. 31 woman. Yet I did feel somewhat condemned because it felt like so much work and that when I would try to for example wake up before dawn it would last for a week then I would cave and sleep in. But this has truly blessed me so much because I believe that I have the heart of a servant and long to make meals for my hard working future husband, to take care of my home and to strive to be a Prov. 31 woman! After this I no longer feel condemned but I feel encouraged that in this season of my life is the perfect time to work on myself and to become a Prov. 31 woman! God bless you both thank you so much for this! ❤️😊🙏

We have suffered a lot of trauma (house fire in 2023) and my husband got PTSD and is now unable to work. I am working and doing housework and he cooks every night and takes my son to his therapies, our littlest to daycare etc. We are a team and share it but I feel bad that I'm not the one cooking at night but he says it's on him coz I'm working so I'm grateful but I was feeling like I wasnt being a Christian wife coz I'm not the SAHM now. Id love some wisdom on this.

I just love hearing what God speaks through you two. ❤ I am walking in my learning to be a true godly wife. I want to honor God in my marriage. My boyfriend and I have been officially courting since March of this year, and he has 2 daughters from a previous relationship that ended 7 years ago (I don't have children). The girls are 11 and 18. The 18 year old is away in college, and the 11 year old lives with their dad. Occasionally, when I come to the house and have a space of time alone, I pray as I walk through each room and I mark each door and window with oil. I speak love into the atmosphere, but it seems like whenever I speak to the youngest daughter, she simply answers my questions very dryly, or when she has something to say, she literally turns her whole body towards her dad as if I don't exist. I have a 17 year old niece in college, and we started a thread with the 18 year old daughter-just to send a funny meme or scripture or simple encouragement, knowing its both of their first year in college. I havent bombarded....Ive sent 4 texts since August, and my niece sent a really kind intro to open herself for conversation anytime. I have yet to hear anything from my future daughter (the 18yo). One thing I know is that you cant fight Love and nothing can stop a move of God, so I will be consistent in sending love. I know her mom has spoken harshly about there being someone in her dad's life whom he loves, but that I have been a constant of encouragement and support to both girls. I love them, and I love Jesus. My boyfriend is also saved. I said all this to say, sometimes the encourager needs to be encouraged. What do you recommend I do, study, pray about to go higher in my Proverbs 31 position as a wife and future bonus mom in training? I want Christ to have His mark in our home and for these attitudes and resistance to be broken, but I feel stuck. ❤

Praise the Lord I’m thankful that I ran across this live or teaching or this replay but I really like what first lady said about how if you don’t know how to cook or you don’t like going to the grocery store that you can get on the app and order some groceries or you can hire somebody to cook even thinking about myself and my busy lifestyle I do clean sometimes but it’s OK if you got a higher somebody to come in and do your general cleaning It’s OK if you have to hire somebody or get somebody to help you with some things even with the kids I believe that it takes a village to raise a child. It’s OK grandma can come in and watch the kids while you get some things done or you know if your kids are small if you gotta get a nap or you gotta study or whatever the case maybe so I think that’s awesome that she said that because at one point time in my life I was feeling lack because I can cook, but I don’t like to Cook and clean all the time that is not the focal point of who I am so what I’ve learned with striving to be proverbs 31 woman is that being a mom being a wife being a entrepreneur being a minister being a teacher all of that you have to find balance and it’s OK to reach out for help to help you do these thingsso thank you Lady for mentioning that

As women, we often feel criticized in all we do. When you read the Bible and are new to the faith, it can be overwhelming. Sometimes we have history that makes us feel like we will never amount. But through time and growing it can be inspirational. Sometimes we take the Bible so literal when we need to consider it spiritually. As a single mother with now grown children, seek God on who and how He wants you to be. Especially, if you’re feeling overwhelmed.

Glory to God I am enjoying this when first lady said, and I’m saying first lady because I don’t know the name I like when she explained or talked about how there’s a psycho how woman has a psycho and then when she didn’t have a psycho, she was probably pregnant and nursing and dealing with the children oh my God and if you’re a businesswoman, that’s even added responsibility and stress but what I love the most is how she talked about the proverbs 31 woman taking a sabbath like within the last maybe year I decided to take a sabbath because for one, God said to then God created the world, and he rested on the seven days, so there has to be a day of restand replenishing and a time that God can pour back into us so we can get back on our journey so once again, thank you for Lady for pointing that out

I just found you guys today after watching your fasting video and it’s blessed me tremendously. I am back for a second video today and it’s this. Thank you for sharing your knowledge and may God bless you and keep you near his heart.

A thought crossed my mind to share this because maybe you both were meant to hear or see this. But a quick thought crossed my mind and it was “these are people of this world, how can I know they are speaking truth of God and I’m not being mislead” (which btw I wasn’t thinking this was misleading by any means but some people nowadays are more worldly teaching than in the word teaching) so I say that to say this. I immediately after thinking that thought felt a sense of peace and I found comfort in video this right off the back meaning I know God was telling me it was right, but also I am “the one that just stumbled upon the video” so I believe God put it on my heart to tell you this to hopefully encourage you more bc the thought kept rumbling over and over in my mind!

You just hit The nail on the head. ❤ I do a lot of counseling and a lot of times people don't even understand themselves and it's easier to go ahead and start learning about the opposite sex that we are and that helps us to discover more about them. And then it helps us to open up to learn about us. You guys do amazing job. Thank you so much. I just found you a couple days ago. Many prayers. Continue blessings🎉

Hi you guys so I just found your podcast. This is actually the first one I’m watching and it truly found me because I recently started to church religiously as I say. I’m currently doing prayer and fasting with my church and it’s a real challenge that I’m facing. But I’m 24 years old with no kids I have gave birth to but I have a boyfriend/husband and 4 kids who are his bio nephews and nieces but we both took legal guardianship. To be so young and having to take care of a household which was once just two and in the past 6 months is now 6 is very challenging but I know it’s possible. As I’m hearing what you guys are saying and reading this chapter with you I truly feel I am a proverbs 31 woman but there is a couple things that I can work on to become even more powerful, loving, kind for my spouse and our children. I love what you guys are doing.Im excited to see start from the beginning and hear all of your podcast

I can’t thank yall enough for taking the time to break down this chapter. I have been to a service where a husband read the chapter and the wife acted out Proverbs 31. I left the service feeling so horrible about myself. I felt like I could never measure up to be the woman God intended me to be. Thank you.

I feel very blessed, i was about to start my personal bible study and devotional and came across this video ! I really appreciate having the perspective and insight of a married Christian couple. ❤ As a young woman, about to turn 26, i started to put myself into perspective ( how to be a woman in the image of God and also which standards should i hold myself to) the 31 woman was definitely needed. I really loved your video and will definitely be watching more ! You guys are really lovely. I can feel the love you have for each other. May God bless you and your family. See you soon ! ❤

I needed to hear this! Around 13 minutes in, Ken talks about being encouraged to become the proverbs 31 woman. For so long, I have been the opposite, the one who sees everything in Proverbs 31 and feels lacking. I’m excited to strive toward my new goals of becoming a proverbs 31 woman! Tabitha talked about a woman at all different stages of life before that. I love the concept that becoming a proverbs 31 woman is a lifetime goal. This woman in Proverbs 31 is my roadmap to a happy and successful life as a woman! Thank you for sharing your perspective, I feel a burden lifted, and I am light!

I’m so glad that you mentioned that this is what a mother shared with her son. I had learned that too in turn it’s not the foundation of who I am as a woman. I remember a Muslim co-worker came to me and asked me what I thought about psalms 31, I told her truthfully I’ve never been taught to be that woman, my mother taught me about psalms 23 instead. Great conversation!

Hello everyone! Just looking for advice here. I'm not married, but I'm in a relationship now. I'm wondering, how can a woman balance her life wisely? I live alone in a apartment now, I work, I do everything around the house myself. And there are times when it gets really difficult to be on top of everything. Like, to always have my fridge stocked with food, maintain a clean house, have time to rest and do self care. But I can't imagine how I will do all of that and even more (because I will always try to do a better job at being a caregiver and a mother for my family) when I have a husband and kids? Me and my bofriend agreed that we will have somewhat traditional gender roles in our family. I'm okay with that, I'm looking forward to taking care of my family. But I don't want to be a stay-at-home mom. I have so many amazing projects and goals that God is helping me achieve. I don't want to give it up. How can I balance all?

Thank you so much for this teaching ❤️ The comments I've heard in the past is that some women are overwhelmed, feeling as though they have to meet the Psalm 31 standard all at once. This is who she was over time not overnight! As Pastor Claytor pointed out, use Psalm 31 as a guide to strive towards a goal. If there is an area of lack, look to improve in that area. It's actually nice to have a goal to shoot for, that with God's help, will produce much fruit. 🙏🏾
