The hammer was down so it wouldn't have done anything even if it was chambered. You can see he decocks it before putting it back in the toolbox. Some guns will fire with the hammer down (double single action) but 1911's won't because they're single action only. It was still pretty funny though.

Your great inspiration. regardless if you work on cars or bikes or whatever you have done. the best thing that I've always enjoyed about watching your content is that "I can do it myself" kind of attitude. which I have a very similar style in life. I started working on motorcycles and cars out of my own garage even doing Tire changes for bikes, service and all. Rarely I will be like I can't do that. More to, Humm maybe I can do that. I'm not gonna let my disability stop me. You are always spreading positivity and never letting anything stop you. Like you I also have very supportive friends who are always pushing me to keep moving. So thank you sir ,you are the best person on KZbin. Also your bobber build was very inspiring. Lifes been good, started technical school for diesel mechanics and am 8 weeks in and its great. The other day my instructor saw this kid standing there and handed him a wrench and said get to work. I was just thinking with the hambo build you could keep the red lights in the back... if you wire them as brake lights and on the sides replace them with amber lenses and wire them as turn signals. The white lights on the sides act as scene lighting when the side door is open as well. The whites in the back could be reverse lights or turn signals if you wire them as such and replace the white lenses with amber... damn it now i want an ambulance of my own thinking of all this stuff... :p
