Hinoe-san makes drawing hands look so easy. When I try them, they look awful! Well, it's not like I can't draw hands, but-like most practising artists-I just can't draw them with the amount of ease that Hinoe-san draws them with.

He has probably drawn gazillion hands, and real hands, not "anime hands" in different poses and from pictures of hands, his own... etc. The "anime hand" is just a bit simplified and just tiniest bit stylized version of a real human hand :) Study human anatomy and that helps as well :)

(No hate just noticed this) Pause at 4:54 If she lands on that right leg, with the toes points in the opposite direction from the knee, her ligaments are definitely going to rip apart. The knee can't bend away from the toe, legs don't work like that. Stand on your left leg, touch the tip of the right foot to the ground and try to turn your knee away from your toe without changing the angle of the foot. Feel the strain in the calf muscle? imagine landing on that... Here's my draw over of his draw over, with the calf and knee facing the correct direction. -> imgur.com/gallery/rraSWP9

Either way I still very much enjoy the lessons here, thumbs up for that. It's just that knee that scares me lol. I've seen a lot of sports injuries from simple missteps like landing on a twisted leg.

I know I'm a year late and I wholly agree but part of it that i dont think people think about is that you're drawing something in motion this would be when you're landing and pivot your feet imagine the same way a soccer player winds up to kick it across the field only instead of momentum from the back leg it would be more so from the top of the body downwards. There's also the fact that it's a little girl but again I don't disagree I just wanted to share these other things to think about to future readers is all.

Always in awe with the pro tips. There is nothing else on this level with western artists on KZbin. They are either talking about tech or rendering tools. Those are extremely valuable lessons for any style of art. Thank you very much!

I quite like the original as well. I don’t know if the artist intended it this way, but it looks like she’s barely able to retain her balance after stepping into the puddle. It adds a bit of clumsiness which I like.

I think maybe in that case the leg would still be a little bended, another option is she is about to fall where her step could be a little behind the gravity center or something like that

Manuel G Thanks for the support, I did have that in mind when drawing, but I have to agree with Hinoe and his posing suggestion, as it gives the appearance of a more natural and dynamic flow to the piece.

Nice videos!! Can you explain and discuss the best drill or practice for beginners. Like what's better reference or without reference? And many more

Link -kun that would be straight lines and simple shapes. After that copying RL people from a magazine of sth, then starting with detailed parts (hands, feet, eyes, etc) in close up. After that make use of dynamic drawing, movement, perspectivity lines etc. When you mastered Reality drawing, you can start mixing creativity. Make it recognisable. Something of yourself. It's always nice to have a manga draw book if you dont want to stray too far away from home.
