@@stephengiffith1010 I think he's as good as any top player, I just don't care much for that style of playing in general, and I don't like Dokken very much. I don't think they suck, I just don't like them. To me they are boring, and nothing about their music excites me.

I am a huge Dokken fan and have been since 1984, I seen a few comments regarding Jon Levin who is a great guitarist, but remember one thing, Who wrote all the extremely talented guitar work for Dokken...George did.. it's easy for guitarists that have great talent to immulate someone like George! Jon Levin is a great guitarist, but Mr.Scary is a guitar God!

It's very different to emulate and to create. To create something unique and make success with it, is many many steps up from people who emulate only. It's needed vision and much study and developing for that. There's a video here in You Tube, in which he explains how he developed his own unique style of playing. He would get some of that well-known old blues and rock licks, and would take it elsewhere by finding uncommon resting notes for his phrases. Also, play and change some common shapes until he could find something which was unique and his own with it. By doing that, he was able to create his own language of soloing on the guitar. He also crafted his own compositional chops, by drinking on the Judas Priest language, but taking it elsewhere.. and there are some chord progression arrangements which are very Lynch-like too. So yes, it takes a lot of smartness and intelligence, to shape your own style. Not anyone can do that, but the reward for getting there can be the highest.

George looks like he's really getting into this. He's really digging in. LOVE IT!!! I've seen other shows they've done like a year or two ago, and he just stood there, kinda foning it in. And you could tell he just wanted to choke Don. He was still killing it, he's a monster. But you could actually feel the animosity thru the screen. Here, he seems happy and into the moment. That's awesome. Even when Don comes over and tries that horribly miss calculated nonsense interlude on his guitar, George just hangs in there. What a guy! Lol. So maybe George has decided he wants to get out there and tour and enjoy the spot light like he so dearly deserves. Maybe he's a lil tired of watching all the other 80s bands out there making money on the circuit, while his awesome talent gets ignored. Go George!!!

Holy shit!!! I never thought I would see Don and George at the same stadium together let alone on the SAME STAGE! I spoke with Don backstage in the mid-90s after a show at Mabel's in Champaign, IL. It was a shitty little bar/club and it was for their Dysfunctional "tour," as I recall. The band played great and Don sounded fantastic. I was a bit sad to see them play this show to maybe 300-400 people, when they had previously rocked thousands at stadiums at the height of their popularity. Anyway... Don and I chatted for a minute while he signed my CD and for whatever reason George's name came up. I said that things would work out and that he'd come back to the band. At this point, I don't even know if Lynch Mob was still around. They had maybe one decent song in the late 80s or early 90s...I don't even remember any of their songs...which I probably why I said that. Don was adamant about it though. He said "No way, I'm done with George. We're done." You never know what happens behind closed doors, but they were and will always be more successful together and there is no denying that!

A short set but hey, it's great to see George Lynch with his fiery lead style, just as it was back in the 1980s, I'd say he is the star of the show. Don Dokken may not have the same energy his vocals had in the 1980s but you gotta respect the guy for trying, even after his bout with cancer, and "Wild" Mick Brown can still pound those drums. The bassist doesn't look like Jeff Pilson, but he's rocks also. I'm sure there are a lot of younger people in the audience, some of whom were probably still in diapers or weren't even born at the height of Dokken's popularity in the mid 1980s. :-)

George is so bad ass that he builds his own guitars and plays them on stage. Like the one hes playing here. Awesome guitar!👍🎸

I Iike how George is just adding to his guitar solos and putting in extra guitar sections. Kinda like him distracting away from Don's vocals. Haha.

As far as I know Lynch is the only shredder, who can go on stage playing guitars that he actually built himself.

First off, great to see George where he belongs; with Mick and Don. And for all of you bagging on Don's voice, I wonder how any of you would sound after cancer surgery? Get off his case about his voice. We should be grateful he's still out there, keeping the era of this music alive.

I think George is playing with more fire and passion than he has in years. He's making records with a lot of different artists now and he's playing better because of it.
