As I grow older...I started to appreciate George so much more...I grew up with Eddie, Joe, Walsh, Jason, Marty, Steve, Vinnie Moore, Dimebag, Paul Gilbert, Lukather etc...but I just love the raw vibe of Jimi Hendrix (my big influence with Band of Gypsys) and George nowadays. George still rocks it out being over 70. Thanks George!

I hate the using the word UNDERRATED But if there’s ever a guitarist in rock music history that gets overlooked, it’s George Lynch. He is an absolute monster guitar player!!!
@michaelbackhus1923 Жыл бұрын
Ummm..yea! If he gets overlooked It could be because of performances like....Well, for example, @45:19 mark which is the beginning of the solo for wicked sensation within just a few seconds he's playing finger tap as fast as he can and out of key with the song and it gets worse at the 45:28 mark and it is continuous and sounds really bad. After the solo he then starts in on some softer blues riffing along with the bass and drums and begins it out of key. he eventually stops and tries and then finds the right key. His hammer-ons always wind up doing this throughout this entire performance. His solo's always seem to work better when nobody else is playing, that way he is never out of key with a band. Maybe that's why he opened the set with a long solo (who does that any way?) leaving his band standing there looking silly. You hate UNDERRATED? Same here. I would be using the word overrated. BTW, I came to this sight to see if he was any better at playing 10 years ago than he is now. He may have been worse then. (edit; maybe that's why he's overlooked. I just heard it again and it......Well...It's bad. Ooff. And Im not trying to insult you either. Good day Sir.

@@michaelbackhus1923 I see these comments on every concert video for any band. "Slash is out of tune", "Vai is off key", etc. Either every pro musician is a moron who doesn't know how to play or just a bunch of jealous second rate musicians commenting trying to sound elite.
@michaelbackhus192311 ай бұрын
Aahh, I'm sorry. I wasn't trying to make you or anyone jealous. Jealousy is a bad trait. Besides, I'm sure I can't do what you do as well as you do whatever it is you do. Also, Slash and Vai and other musicians at this stage of their careers are not out of tune at that level of performing because we made sure they have operational and in tune instruments and gear when they perform. (I'm retired now). Maybe lynch was just over-compensating for Arthritis, or alcohol or who knows. If he's your hero it's probably tough to watch or maybe you don't have an ear for what's happening. Maybe don't read the comments if they make you feel this way. Be proud of what you do, or acquire the skills to do what you love. If you love what you do you'll never work a day in your life. Good day sir.@@capnrob97

@@capnrob97 Aahh, I didn't intend to make anyone feel like that. jealousy is a worthless emotion and a bad trait . Besides, I'll bet you can do whatever it is you do way better than I can. BTW, guys like Slash, Vai, Lynch's son in-law Faulkner and many others at that level of their careers don't go out there with out of tune instruments or poorly operating gear because we made sure of it. (I'm retired now) Who knows, Maybe Lynch was over-compensating for arthritis or alcohol, tired...who knows. When you read comments about one of your hero's, it can be irritating as a fan I suppose or maybe you don't have an ear for what's happening up there. If reading the comments makes you feel that way, don't read them. If you're not proud of what it is you do, then acquire skills for something you love doing, then you're less likely to feel that way about people. @@adrionbaker3074 don’t get me wrong- when i saw him at NAMM, he was playing with Rudy Sarai, and the songs were more bluesy, which worked much better for his voice. When we opened for Lynch Mob in 2013, he struggled with stuff like Dream Warriors, which is a ridiculously high song, and other Dokken tunes. He was so nice, though, as opposed to Lynch, who seemed like he was bothered by talking to the local band…
