I just received my XMC-2 from the trade-in program and followed the instructions and have the ARC and all working just fine. Next is the Dirac Calibration. Thank you for putting this together for us.

Looking forward to mine. The MC-700 I have now is a mid-fi budget component. The XMC-2 will be a long awaited sonic upgrade. 1st thing I'll do: update the firmware.

What about if you’re using Dirac? Do you still have to set size, levels and distance?

doesnt matter since we cant use DIRAC yet. been waiting half a year for this to start working...

After watching this multiple times I do have the xmc-2 settings correct but no sound. Xmc-2 hdmi ark 2 to hdmi ark tv no sound.The osd and tuner work correctly. 😔

@@ronnydewailly7045 ARC will not work if you have really old HDMI cables made before that standard. Optical is also an option

@@scottlowell493 I tried audio quest eark vodka and also wouldn't work. Emotiva techs have told me there are problem handshake issues with Sony. 😔

What is the name of the free mobile app you mentioned for level matching the speakers! How accurate is it?

Ravi, If you go to your Android or Apple App Store and search for "SPL Meter" there are tons of free ones to download. I would just go off the most well reviewed one! We all use different ones here on our phones.

Why not use HDMI HDMI output #1?

On these units, the HDMI 2 Out is the primary HDMI output.

@@craigschray4486 About 90% of the options are the same but you don't get access to the Atmos features. These basic setup options should be the same though for the XMC-1.

Does this processor don’t have room correction for such price ? I hope it last more than my UMC 200, only 6 years. Disappointed !

It has user configurable full Parametric EQ on all 16 channels and we will be releasing Dirac Automatic Room Correction for it soon!

You are able to set the OSD between 0% and 100% to find a preferred level.

This video is pointless. I just opened my xmc-2 and followed this guy's directions to the T....and I'm not getting any test tone sounds... This is unreal.

not very help full as you don't give enough detail as to the why of each move. what is the difference between speaker size? etc etc
