I think i prefer the hanging ones. Theyre cuter, more functional, and i feel like next to no actual effort went into the table. It is cool that you can store things in the bin but the top is really small and it honestly doesnt seem stable enough

@@corinnecorley9584 not really, this is including supplies bought. Most tutorials that include price do that. They're assuming that you (the viewer), if you attempt it, are an average crafter, which means glue, scissors, needles, sewing machines, ect ect aren't ever shown in the price.

You could glue magnets on the table and the tray, so it will be more stable.

I used one to make a lazy Susan and used magnets all over it to display my handmade earrings at fairs. Works brilliantly. 😎

I liked the hanging ones more. Great idea. I use the same exact waste basket for some of my earrings but all I did was turn it upside down and set it on a shelf (soon to put a DIY lazy Susan under it) and just hang my earrings there. It gives me more hanging space BUT really like the shape option her idea gives me and I have lots more earrings to hang soooo... I'm off to DOLLAR TREE for some more baskets! 😄

I know messing with wire is very not unfun, however the trash can table would be better supported by sewing them together with wire. Also I would have spray painted the bottoms first then maybe some hot glue just to help it stick together while I sewed it with the wire. Then spray painted them once together so the threaded wire got spray painted too. Definitely both fun looking projects. Also in the case of the little object holders the smaller ones would be great for just earrings if you didnt have a lot of them maybe? Idk Im sure something could be done with them. How about a competitiom where you make something out of scrap left over materials? Just because it would be even more challenging and also promote wasting as little as possible? Just a random thought. Cool decorations though.

Here’s my idea for the trash can: You could glue the plate to the top trash can, then you can cut a biggish hole in both but you could put like something on the bottom so the stuff in the bottom trash can wouldn’t fall out.

Personally for the side table I would've used zip ties on the inside of the trash cans to hold it together

In my head, I already did it that way, used a cake pan (turned upside down as a "lid", that way, it can't just slide off by mistake) and THEN only painted the cake pan in black so it matches the waste baskets BUT, thing is, I have a can of baby pink spray paint so mine will be black & pink... I'm off to DOLLAR TREE for my 2 waste baskets!

i love both of these!!!!! i would’ve done the table a bit differently though, i think it will probably fall apart so i would’ve added a couple zip ties to hold it together better. i also would’ve made a mesh circle like in the other project to put on the bottom, so then i could put some of those string lights (like the ones behind them when they were crafting) in the bottom. then it would be a table with storage and also a cool night light
