I tend to notice a pattern in these lie detector tests, more specifically in the questions they ask: people will usually ask questions that are quite relative to the person answering, like "Do you think you're [...]". People will generally say the truth, 'cause it's what they think they are... unless they try to answer to "compliment" the other, which doesn't go through the lie detector.
