Brett for the win. Smart guy picking full water bottles and can food for cooking vessels. Also for remembering the lighters.

Your kit seems more camping themed, while Brett's seems more survival.

I initially gave the win to Brett, but he did not open the soup cans, I am not 100% sure that the serrated knives will open the cans and then still be usable for any other tasks later on considering he already bent one making the shelter. So I am calling this a tie.

If your knife is unable to baton wood and you absolutely need to just carve a wedge out of wood. Your knife can start the split in the wood, then take it out and replace it with the wedge before battoning it on thru the log or whatever. Believe it or not this can even be done with small Victorinox knives and absolutely works lol.

I call it a draw-I'd get the pans/wire thing for cooking, but Brent getting the trash bags was good planning as they have multiple uses-shelter, rain ponchos, ground sheet etc.

I think Brett won. Both were good though. Both were good to show what you can get if you don’t have a lot of money. At the same time letting people know buy a good knife and buy some first aide as well. $100 Walmart challenge. Could do an ultimate challenge say $500 where you have to buy a gun and some ammo along with supplies to last you a little bit.

Both kits had their good and bad points but with yall together everything was covered really well. Bad meaning the only quality you had to choose from but thats not yalls fault. The reusable food cans was a great idea and so was already having water.

Modern cans have plastic liners, cooking in them is long term toxic. Just letting you know, so you can make an informed decision on whether you want to continue to do that. Brett wins, btw. He's got better survival items, if I had to pick one to survive with for myself.

Tie: both concepts going in are even-steven, now you need to actually stay out for a 3 day weekend with what you have there :) haha I always love these dollar challenges. While ANY company will do, this company doesn't do any knife very well, nor do they do tarps very well. From these folk, a snap blade knife is probably your best bet, while they wont take out a tree they wont dull, bent, snap or collapse on you the way the rest do (note instead of batoning, just use the crack created and use a wedge to complete). Also, instead of tarps, table cloths or shower curtains from this company are your better bet. If there is fish in that water, while this company does have some limited fishing gear that isn't too bad, with that cordage you have and that sewing kit, you can easily create a fishing kit with them. 🤭 was waiting for the grand Can Opening without a can opener... and the "what you need" is a rock that has a flat face, use it as a lapping stone and abraid off the can lids (street folk use cement curbing to open cans this way). Also, along with the 101 other things, those reuse bags do make decent enough pillow cases, I used one for a few months through this summer without issue.
