These are great tips. The only thing I would do differently is pour the mop/bucket in the toilet and not the tub. Pouring it in the tub can cause the drain to get clogged from hair or other items that are in the water. I personally pour mine into the toilet to avoid the chance of clogging the tub drain. Thank you for taking the time to share these tips. You are appreciated.

Kathryn, thank you so much! I have bipolar disorder and ADHD. I have episodes where my house falls into almost what you’d see on Hoarders. It’s so embarrassing. I have trouble with motivation even when I’m not depressed due to ADHD. My mom is disabled and lives with me and she can still do some cleaning but needs stuff that is easier for her physically. We had a vacuum she couldn’t move around and I didn’t use because it was cumbersome. I need stuff to be convenient, quick, and way to motivate me to do it. I did not think this was possible on my budget. But I’ve watched your videos and I can afford to do it all with the Dollar Tree, Shark Cordless Stick Vac, O-Cedar mop, and the Bissel Steam Shot. I had no idea these things were that affordable and they’re making every single task so easy for me mentally and so easy for my mom physically that everything is getting done and staying kept up! The stick vac and your tip of using the mop head on the broom handle really helps my mom with being able to teach stuff. Between you and Clutterbug (who also has ADHD and has shared differ organizing styles so I found one that works for me…but your DT organizing fits my budget!), my house is finally getting in shape and that’s maintainable even with my debilitating mental issues and my mom’s physically debilitating issues. Truly life changing. I’ll never be able to thank you enough.

The vinegar ice cubes are good for day to day cleaning, but when you want to really deep clean your disposal, buy one of those toilet brushes that are round on the end. That brush end fits perfectly down the drain and you can really scrub up/down/around and get any stuck on food out. Then when you pull it out, it cleans the underside of the black rubber thingy at the mouth of the drain.

Save even more by buying the $1.25 bottle of Dawn Platinum and a bottle of rubbing alchohol. When your Powerwash bottle is empty. Refill with 2 Tbs Dawn and 1 Tbs rubbing alchohol. Fill the rest with water and shake well. I've been refilling off the same bottle for several months!! Love this stuff!! I like the "one product" rule: For me that's white vinegar; it cleans everything very well for super cheap, it's safe for everyone, and I can't get enough 🎉. We're into minimalism so we don't like having many things to accomplish a similar task. We also use Palmolive dish soap in a foaming bottle to reduce soap and water waste 🙌🏼: highly recommend it! Just please do not use vinegar or lemon juice or anything acidic on sealed granite. It eats through the seal, which is very expensive to reseal. Also, make sure any tomato sauces or juice spills are wiped up immediately.
@joanbauer8714 Жыл бұрын
Watch what vinegar you buy, I've found that what is labeled Cleaning Vinegar has same acidity as regular vinegar, plus it costs more.
@christinelee4221 Жыл бұрын
Cleaning vinegar is supposed to contain up to 6% acidity and supposed to be 20% stronger than regular white vinegar and thus more effective. I specifically bought cleaning vinegar when I had to get rid of rust or hard to remove toilet rings. I think it depends on the brand, so definitely check your labels. I wasn't so sure about the Dollar Tree Cleaning vinegar because the ingredients does not say vinegar (it has other ingredients listed) and there were also reviews of people stating it did not have the chemical reactions that they expected of vinegar and that the manufacturer confirmed only 2% acidity; however, it may be a good enough cleaning agent and probably good enough if you are just dumping it down the drain. For my household purpose, I like to buy the real stuff.

Will have to grab the ice cube trays with lids! I always try to have lemons & limes around the kitchen. But if they are stating to 'age', I juice them into ice cube trays & freeze for an indvl size of juice! Drop a cube of lemon juice in recipes, or cube of lime in my tea. Easy hack for 'fresh frozen' citrus juices!

Fabuloso citrus/bk soda is my go-to. My clients love it and it does a really decent all over job. I dilute it and place in a spray bottle for countertops, bathroom surrounds and use in my mop bucket. It's even cheaper by the gallon at Walmart. I adore my spin mop over even the one with the replaceable microfiber heads. It just scrubs messy floors better. What fabuloso doesn't do well...dollar general's version of soFt scrub does amazing. Add the dollar tree Blue squeegee and the dollar tree white scrub pads...this is what I use for 90% of all my jobs. The dollar tree mop micro fiber pads do fine on walls and hard to reach shower places. Hope this helps

Also you can use part Water part Vinegar into the cleaning dispenser part because it cleans and sanitizes instead of buying the cleaning solution for the Tineco, the only problem will be smelling vinegar but the smell goes away when you air it out :) hope this helps

Use SOS pads to clean bath and shower. I clean it while I am taking a shower to save time and easier to clean. I also use rain X on shower doors to keep the water streaks away

Another fresh and informative video. At the beginning of the video I noticed you had to move the heavily laden L cart to get to the shelves. Numerous stores are being cited by OSHA for unsafe in-store practices.... Currently one store I believe was fined a really significant amount. All the stores are being investigated and financially being held accountable. The one store I went to ALL the isles had boxes stacked over the allowable height and on top of the risers. Emergency exits were blocked! ( fortunately ) I did video all the isles and contacted corporate....this was a while back.... ( unfortunately) I'm still waiting for a response! So maybe OSHA will get their attention! Sad as it is....as I've mentioned before...maybe one day I'll walk Into any one of my local stores and find ALL the items you share here and then I too can try them out myself!!

I love my Tineco. I found it first from your prior video. I had to wait to get it but I ended with the s5 and it’s amazing! It has a bigger water tank, one side does super close edge cleaning and it charges right on the base no plugging in and out. Oh and it tells you when to empty and refill and run the self clean cycle. Totally worth the extra if you can afford it because of the larger tank and edge cleaning for me.

Okay, I've been researching a wet/dry vacuum for the last few weeks and I'm completely lost on what to do. I've seen good and bad reviews about the Tineco specifically regarding the short run time and the cleaning process. What do you advise?

@@lightworks3172 oh ya I forgot this s5 has up to a 35 minute runtime vs 25 minutes!

How is it with dog hair? Does it vacuum and mop well at the same time?
@paulalockman7621 Жыл бұрын
@@melissag4798it is awesome vacuuming up dog hair. My dog has short hair & I have been amazed at all the dog hair it gets up. I was using Swiffer products & my floors started looking terrible. I switched to this & I have been thrilled! My floors look beautiful now!

I've never heard of nor used a wet/dry vacuum. So, please ignore this really stupid question: Can I use it on a rug or carpet too?

That Pitcher Idea is right on time. I've been looking for a caddy to carry things but the DT caddies are too small for the regular spray bottles. I think I'll get a couple and label them for which area they are to stay in. One for the kitchen and one for the bathroom and one for Other spaces. I seriously considered getting a Tineco, but got into an argument with roomie who said nobody would use it. Then I realized I'd not be getting it for HIM to use, I'd be getting it for MY benefit. whether they use it or not, it will still making the task easier for me. So I'm putting it into my budget to save up for. Also, I've been holding the trigger on getting the O-cedar Mop as well, but seems like If I have the one, I don't need the other, right? or maybe I do for hard to reach spaces that the Power Vac cannot reach? like behind the toilet? Any advise O-cedar Owners and Tineco Owners? I have a small store, so very often I cannot find the items you suggest. but I keep looking just in case Just yesterday, I took a hacksaw to wall-mount Wire Rack and broke it into two smaller pieces because all of the command style hooks were too big for the holes in my dish brushes. Then I used pliers to bend the cut ends together in a semi circle like the finished end and used Liquid nails to completely coat and glue together the cut ends where they came together. Now it is just a shorter version of the original and I will hang it on my sink cabinet for my cleaning brushes to hang dry when not in use. I've got the last two hooks left over, after the cut, to use somewhere else...

With the swiffer sheets, I use both sides...that way I get twice as much for my $'s. And it works on both sides. Also to clean pet hair we bought the big Dyson to help combat it. it barely touched the hair. But what I found works amazingly well is a damp dish rag (the lumpier the better but all of them work) and a tiny bit of elbow grease...I literally swipe the area of my carpet and it brings it all up..instantly. LOVE your channel, the only way that I could think of to thank you is to subscribe. BIG hugs from Delta BC Canada
