Thanks so much, Laurie, you and your dad have helped me more than once with your creative solutions and variations on what the kit brought. I have a Beacon Hill shell that someone in my building who gave up on it, I guess, but it is lacking all the doors, windows, and part of the tower roof. It's going to be a challenge, but I am looking forward to it because I am looking at it as a blank canvas where I can make it into a contemporary house. :)

I've used self adhesive nail tape striping for details before. The smallest width I've found it in was 1mm. You can get it in a huge variety of colours including metallic on eBay. I'm looking forward to using it on my windows now too. Thank you for the idea!💡 I really want to make a faux stained glass window and this will be perfect.

How or what could you use to make it look like stained glass? I would love to have a stained glassed window in my dollhouse. Thanks for the Video. I can't wait to do a few of them. Oh and the covers you could pick them up from dollar tree as well. I think they have the nail tape there too. :)

You could try this or nail polish to make a stained glass look. Thank you for the Dollar Tree tip :) www.plaidonline.com/gallery-glass-paint-set-best-sellers-set-2/PROMOGGII/item.htm?gclid=Cj0KEQiAzZHEBRD0ivi9_pDzgYMBEiQAtvxt-AcFy24n-5oBAn9I4J9CIjF813iPjdOniknsNGaDxBsaAq4r8P8HAQ

I recommend Scripto Markers. It is a lot cheaper and less time consuming.

Thank you. I tried markers but my hands are not steady enough to make those small lines :(

Nail striping tape could also work. You can get a whole package of rolls with different colors for about $5.50

Oh yes I use that as well

Is there a reason you choose to use tape for the design as opposed to printing it onto the plastic?
@DollhouseTutorials8 жыл бұрын
Rebecca Clayson That would be super easy but I don't have a printer that will print on glossy plastic plus I don't think I could get white ink from the 5 colors in my printer. What printer and ink do you use. I've tried a paint pen in the past but the look doesn't turn out as clean and crisp as I want it to be.

Laurie Heisler I used a regular HP officejet printer and have had no issues printing on glossy plastic. I use overhead projector sheets maybe that is the difference?while I don't have a printer capable of printing white (only printers I know of that can do that are professional grade) I have been able to print pretty much every other color of the rainbow.

I never thought to use overhead projector sheets, that's a great Idea. It would probably work out very nice for a stained glass look. Thank you :)
