I worked for Dollywood, and oh my goodness does she give back to her employees! One of my friends got a flat tire and Dollywood paid to get it replaced. We got access to a free doctor at Dollywood, which is crazy for a part-time summer job! She's been so great for Sevierville and all of East Tennessee!

As a native Tennessean, I like to tell people that Dolly is " my other mama." I have so much pride and respect for her and everything she stands for, that even as an agnostic, I ordered "A Holly Dolly Christmas" and the song that gives me the most (wonderful) chills is "Mary Did You Know?" I am not Christian, but her faith and talent inspire me every day. My greatest wish is to one day meet this saint of a woman.

My grandson was born just at the right time, dolly had started the free books for kids in rural communities, he lived in northern Canada and was lucky to be able to receive his monthly books. All those great books were donated once he was finished with them. What a selfless act of kindness. Thank you Dolly Parton.

I loved 9 to 5 the first time I saw it on TV in the early 1980s. It is still a favorite of mine today. On a side note, my wife works in an office environment. She and I watched it together a few years ago, her first time seeing it, and she loved it. The totally 1980 office depicted in the movie translates well to modern times. It's a universal experience, almost.
