Dolly and Porter Wagoner did not remain friends…. He was so mad at her for wanting to leave his show and wouldn’t listen to anything she said so she wrote “I will always love you” for him and sang it to him. He sued her for a long time because she left The Porter Wagoner Show. I think he wound up with some of her money and I think they came to some sort of resolution before he died but they weren’t friends.

He went bankrupt years after she left and way after he sued her and she bought his whole music catalog to get him out of debt then gifted it all back to him for nothing. She writes about it in her first bio book. I mean they weren't best friends but she says in interviews they put the past behind them and were friends

Dolly grew up on a farm its not uncommon for farm families to have alot of children!!! It's called farm hands! I know it sounds crazy but that's just how it was back then my great grandparents we're the same way! When my uncle and grandma grew up and were about to be done with highschool they had another baby! That's just how it was back in the 1940s
